This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The place that became the object of research was MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The subject of this research is the head of madrasa administration staff. The informants in this study were the madrasa administrative staff themselves, the madrasa principal, teachers, students, and the community. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis technique used is done interactively which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the study show that the competencies possessed by each madrasa administrative staff are by their respective fields which include personality competence, social competence, managerial competence, and technical competence. The motivation given by the head of the madrasa and the head of administrative staff to each administrative staff is still not optimal, especially the lack of monitoring and evaluation so that it affects the performance of administrative staff in carrying out their duties. Feedback as the quality of service provided by administrative staff to customers, namely students, all madrasa employees, and the community is quite satisfactory so that many parents entrust MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung as the school of choice, both domiciled near or far from the madrasa.

Abstract

Social transformation in Indonesia is closely linked to the dynamics of urbanization and modernization, which have intensified over the past two decades. Urbanization has led to structural changes across economic, social, and cultural dimensions, including the emergence of new urban areas, shifts in family structures, and changes in societal values and identity. This study aims to examine how urbanization and modernization shape patterns of social transformation in Indonesia through a systematic literature review and secondary data analysis from official reports and recent academic publications. The findings indicate that urbanization produces ambivalent implications: on one hand, it creates opportunities for economic growth and global integration; on the other, it exacerbates social inequality, marginalization, and cultural challenges. Modernization, accelerated through infrastructure development and the relocation of the national capital, highlights the complex relationship between social transformation and development policies. These findings are expected to contribute to the discourse on sustainable and inclusive urban development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a key factor influencing student success in the lecture process. Understanding the level of learning motivation is necessary to help universities design more effective learning strategies. Therefore, this study was conducted to obtain an overview of the state of student learning motivation during the lecture process. This study aimed to measure the level of student learning motivation and identify the factors that influence it. This survey also aimed to provide a basis for developing learning recommendations that can increase student participation and engagement. The research method used was a descriptive survey involving all respondents who participated in filling out the questionnaire, so that the entire survey population served as the research data source. The instrument used was an online questionnaire containing indicators of intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, learning interest, and student perceptions of the lecture process. The results showed that the level of student learning motivation was in the moderate to high category, with intrinsic motivation being the most dominant component. Factors that most influenced learning motivation included interest in the course, the lecturer's teaching methods, and a supportive learning environment. Furthermore, it was found that students with good learning interactions had higher learning motivation than those who were less involved in class discussions. In conclusion, student learning motivation during lectures is influenced by a combination of internal and external factors. These findings can serve as a basis for developing more adaptive, interactive, and student-centered learning strategies to improve motivation and overall learning outcomes.
