Abstract

The writer focused on problem statement into one question as follow: Can education environment develop students’ vocabulary of STIE Amkop Makassar?. This study aims to find out that education environment can develop students’ vocabulary of STIE Amkop Makassar. The significant of this study is expected to give useful information on English teaching and learning process, especially in learning English vocabulary based on education  environment. In this case the researcher used experimental as a research method, and She used random sampling technique in chooosing sample. Vocabulary test as research instrument, it consist of 20 items, then  pretest and posttest was used to collected data, statistic analysis as a techniques of data analysis. Based on the result of the data analysis and the discussion of the result in the previous chapter, the writer would like to put forward conclusion that the school environment is a good medium in teaching-learning process specially to develop students’ vocabulary of STIE Amkop Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the school environment, pedagogic ability and allowances on teacher quality and analyzed by single regression. While the analysis of the influence of the school environment, pedagogic ability and allowances simultaneously affect the quality of teachers, it is analyzed multiple regressions. This research was conducted for one year, from January to December 2020, which is located at the UPT Region State Senior High School. Region 1 Makassar. This study uses primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The population of this research is the teachers of SMA Negeri UPT Wilayah 1 Makassar. The research sample was taken 100 teachers. The teacher sample was taken proportionally with the proportional random sampling method. Data processing was performed using tabulations and percentages. The analysis used is quantitative data analysis, single regression and multiple regression using a Likert scale obtained from a list of questions classified into five levels. The results showed that (1) the influence of the school environment on the quality of students was not significant or had no significant impact (2) the effect of teacher pedagogy on the quality of students had a positive and significant effect (3). the effect of the certification allowance on the quality of students has a positive and significant effect.

Abstract

This article explores about the use of Task-Based Language Teaching can improve the speaking proficiency students of class XII IPA SMAN 1 Amali Kabupaten Bone. The research method was used is Experimental design. The populations were 350 students of SMAN 1 Amali Bone and samples were 50 students, purposive sampling was the technique in taking sample. Data on students’ speaking were collected in line with the instrument (test and questionnaire) and analyzed by inferential statistic. Based on the research findings and discussion, the conclusions are: 1) The use of Task- Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in teaching speaking class can improve the students’ speaking skill. It was proved by the mean score of the students’ posttest in experimental group was 79. 69 and the mean score of the students’ posttest in discussion technique was 73.85. it means that there was higher improvement in experimental class; 2) The students are interested in learning speaking English through Task- Based Language Teaching (TBLT). The mean score of students’ interest was 92.0 %. It was classified as very high interest.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh variabel usia, masa kerja, dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai dengan menggunakan kompensasi sebagai variabel moderasi pada Kantor Sekretariat Daerah Mamuju Tengah. Jumlah responden sebanyak 51 orang yaitu pegawai pada kantor tersebut. Dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Dari hasil analisis pengolahan data, maka diketahui bahwa usia, masa kerja, dan tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh positif dan signifikat terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai dengan atau tidak menggunakan kompensasi sebagai variabel moderasi. Hasil yang ditunjukan dalam perbandingan antara menggunakan atau tidak menggunakan kompesasi sebagai variabel moderasi, diketahui bahwa kompensasi sebagai moderasi melemahkan hubungan pengaruh variabel usia, masa kerja, dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of discovery learning in teaching English. This study was qualitative research, and it applied a case study. The researcher conducted her study at Universitas Sulawesi Barat Majene Regency West Sulawesi. The data source was from the sample research, and purposive sampling was the selected technique in this study. The researcher is a primary instrument in this case study research. The findings release there were six steps of discovery learning implementation. The lecturers carried out the process of discovery learning, which consists of six steps. The frequency of implementation of discovery learning can be described into different categories, namely: High Implemented Discovery Learning (HIDL), Moderate Implemented Discovery Learning (MIDL), and Law Implemented Discovery Learning (LIDL). All lecturers are the High Implemented Discovery Learning is marked by the highest frequency of using discovery learning in teaching English education students. The stages of this implementation are stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. The highest frequency of using marked the selection of each category discovery learning in teaching English.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap kinerja ASN melalui efektifitas program diklat pada Kantor PPSDM Kemendagri Regional Makassar. Jumlah responden sebanyak 222 orang yaitu pegawai dan peserta pelatihan yang dilakukan pada kantor tersebut. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda melalui pendekatan jalur atau path. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa pendidikan dan pelatihan berpengaruh positif dan signifikat terhadap efektivitas program diklat dan kinerja ASN secara langsung, artinya koefisien regresi yang dihasilakan bertanda positif dengan tingkat signifikan yang lebih kecil dari signifikasi standar jika dihubungkan secara langsung atau tanpa dimediasi variable lain. Efektifitas program diklat juga memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikat terhadap kinerja ASN secara langsung, koefisien regresi yang dihasilakan bertanda positif dengan tingkat signifikan yang lebih kecil dari signifikasi standar jika dihubungkan secara langsung atau tanpa dimediasi variable lain. Untuk mengukur hubungan tidak langsung antara pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap kinerja ASN melalui efektifitas program diklat hasil yang ditunjukan bahwa pendidikan dan pelatihan memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja ASN melalui efektifitas program diklat. Hubungan tidak langsung memiliki koefisien regresi yang lebih besar dari hubungan langsung yang terjadi. Hal ini diperoleh dari nilai koefisien total yang lebih besar.

Abstract

Desa Lompo Tengah memiliki potensi sumber alam yang melimpah yaitu Kerang Baje’ dan berpeluang untuk dikembangkan. Kami tim dosen STIE AMKOP Makassar bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk mengembangkan potensi alam yang dimiliki. Adapun metode pelaksanaan yaitu pelatihan metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development). Progam pelatihan sambal kerang baje’ dengan berbasisi ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), masayarakat mempunyai keinginan untuk berubah, dan berinisiatif kearah yang lebih baik. Desa Lompo Tengah has abundant natural resource potencial, namely Pilsbryoconcha exilis, and the oppurtunity to be developed. Our team of STIE AMKOP Makassar lecturers aims to provide knowledge and skills to develop our natural potential. The implementation method is ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method training. The Pilsbryoconcha exilis chili sauce training program is based on ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), the community has the desire to change, and take the initiative for the better.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image and product quality on purchasing decisions Donut J-Co, both partially and simultaneously. Where in this study using a sample of a total population of 97 respondents with solving sampling techniques and the use of multiple regression analysis tools with SPSS software 23.The results showed that brand image partially had a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision of Donut J-Co, product quality showed the results that had a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision of Donut J-Co, while for simultaneous testing the results showed that brand image and product quality affected positive and significant towards J-Co's buying decision. Keywords: Purchase Decision, Brand Image, Product Quality

Abstract

The present study aimed to delve into the students’ EFL vocabulary and response to the discovery learning strategy. A pre-experimental research design was applied in this study. The population of this study was first-year Sulawesi Barat University students who enrolled in vocabulary courses in the first semester, and the researchers used a random sampling technique to choose 42 students. This study found that the discovery learning strategy elevated the students’ English vocabulary. It was found that there are critical contrasts between the mean scores of the pre-test and post-test. The students’ pre-test score was 63.42, and the understudies' post-test score was 89.09, which is higher than the pre-test score. It demonstrated a critical improvement in students' accomplishment after carrying out revelation learning in instructing English vocabulary. Another result revealed that the students provided positive responses toward applying the discovery learning strategy in learning vocabulary, stated 53% of students agreed and 33% strongly agreed with the strategy, however 10% neutral, 3% disagreed and 1% strongly disagreed. Based on positive responses, the most of the students perceived that the discovery learning strategy benefits them in learning English.
