Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of prospective elementary school teaching students who have directly experienced applying the RADEC model in learning. The approach used is qualitative with the case study method. Data collection was carried out by interviewing five respondents who were taken randomly from 39 students. Then, data analysis was carried out, namely data reduction, data presentation, describing, and verifying conclusions. Then, data verification is done through peer debriefing. Based on the perceptions and implementation carried out on prospective elementary school teacher students, the RADEC model is a learning model that can help improve understanding of the material, collaborate, and encourage creativity through doing work. Then, based on students' experiences, they desire to apply the RADEC model in teaching elementary schools.

Abstract

Social conflicts such as bullying, anti-patience, and individualistic attitudes among elementary school students are caused by students' lack of emotional intelligence. This study aimed to analyze the emotional intelligence of grade 5 elementary school students through the RADEC learning model. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The instruments used were student activity observation sheets, student interviews, and documentation of learning activities using the RADEC model. The data analysis is data reduction, presentation, describing, and verifying conclusions. The participants in this study were 29 grade 5 students at one of the public elementary schools in the city of Bandung. Based on the research, it can be concluded that emotional intelligence can be grown through the RADEC learning model. Refers to the five elements of emotional intelligence possessed by students, namely self-awareness, which is shown by recognizing the emotions being felt. Managing emotions is demonstrated by knowing the response that must be given to an event, utilizing emotions productively, which is characterized by understanding the attitude that must be done towards a phenomenon, empathy, which is shown by caring for others, and fostering relationships which are demonstrated by liking interactions with other people.

Abstract

This research aims to discover how Sekolah Alam Bandung instills the character of akhlakul kharimah (good morals) in elementary school students. This research used a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method at the Sekolah Alam Bandung, with the research subject being the school principal. The research instrument used was an interview sheet, and the data collection techniques used were interviews and the study of curriculum documents used in schools, data analysis is carried out by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The research results show that the Sekolah Alam Bandung has the same goal as schools: to educate the nation's life in an intellectual and moral context. However, what differentiates the Sekolah Alam Bandung from state elementary schools in general in instilling the character of akhlakul kharimah is in the learning process. The character of akhlakul kharimah is instilled using exemplary and habituation methods where the teacher becomes an example in implementing the learning, and evaluation is carried out by observation and reported in the groovy report card portfolio every semester. Apart from that, the main characteristic and the output produced using the motto "The most beautiful school in my life" makes Sekolah Alam Bandung produce happy students studying at school. It is hoped that this research can provide broader insight for readers regarding the moral character of elementary school students at Sekolah Alam Bandung and how the school instills them.
