Abstract

North Sulawesi has several interesting natural potentials to be developed. One of them is Totobang Beach located in Manado Tua Negeri, Bunaken Island. It can be reached in about one hour and thirty minutes from downtown Manado. The purpose of this study is to promote and identify Totobang beach as tourism attraction in the village of Manado Tua Negeri.This research uses qualitative methods called the naturalistic research method. This research was conducted in natural conditions and the researchers used data analysis techniques in the form of strategic environmental analysis, with several ndicators. The results of this study indicated that the identification of the potential of Totobang beach as a tourist area in the village of Manado Tua Negeri has currently needs soecial attentions . For this reason, cooperation from the local government, the manager and the local authority of Manado Tua Negeri village is needed in developing this Totobang Beach as tourist attraction. So that it will become a superior and best tourist destination with big influences on the number of tourist visit the village of Manado Tua Negeri.

Abstract

The Effect of Food and Beverage Quality on Guest Satisfaction at Restaurant in Manado Quality Hotel. This study aimed to measure, analyze and explain the effect of Food and Beverage quality on guest satisfaction at Manado Quality Hotel Restaurant. Data were collected using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The sample was taken using random sampling and the analytical method used was regression analysis and correlation coefficient to calculate how strong the influence between variable (X) and variable (Y). The final results of the study after calculating the determinant coefficient r2 = 0.493929 or 49.39% indicating that there is an effect of the quality of food and beverages on guest satisfaction of 49.39% and the remaining 50.61% is a variable change caused by factors which were not observed.

Abstract

Traditional ceremonies are a cultural element that is internalized from time to time, which regulates and strengthens a very essential relationship between people of different types, which contains very broad and recognized values and norms, regulates and directs the behavior of each individual in a society. The form and value of culture shows that humans are the creators of culture. In other words, culture is the whole system of ideas, actions, and human creations to fulfill their lives. The method used in this research is qualitative. Sampling of data sources was carried out using purposive data based on observation, interviews, and documentation studies in reasonable and friendly situations without any influence or engineering. The results of the study show that traditional wedding in Tanimbar is a tourism asset that has two models of rites or ceremonies that are different from one another. The first model is the batnduwe/batnduan wedding and the batwalyete wedding. Efforts to preserve the traditional Tanimbar wedding ceremony as a cultural tourism attraction in West Southeast Maluku district is an opportunity to develop regional tourism.
