Abstract

The Russian-Ukrainian invasion can resolve significant losses in terms of security, health, and even food. The invasion between the two countries has the potential to impact the food sector. This study aims to see how the analysis of the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian invasion on global food conditions pans out. To answer this research question, the author employs descriptive analysis as well as a literature review approach. Russia and Ukraine are countries that have an important role in producing food in the form of wheat, corn, and soybeans, as well as in the global food trade. But the invasions that occurred in these two countries disrupted and hampered food production, which caused global food supply chains and food trade to be hampered, causing world food price inflation. From March to May 2022, when the invasion between the two countries began, the average price of wheat, soybeans, and corn increased dramatically compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic. This invasion will hopefully be resolved through diplomacy between the two sides. In addition, all countries, including those with which they have economic cooperation relations, must be prepared to face a food crisis that is predicted to occur.

Abstract

International trade is trade carried out by residents of a country with residents of other countries on the basis of a mutual agreement. One of the things that determines a country's economic growth is international trade which includes export-import activities. One advantage of international trade is that it allows a country to specialize in producing goods and services at low prices. This study aims to determine the effect of international trade on Indonesia's economic growth. The research method used to solve this problem is a quantitative method using multiple regression analysis and the classic assumption test from secondary data sourced from North Sumatra Economic Data (2001-2020). The results of this study are 1. Partially, imports have a significant positive effect on growth. Economics with the acquisition of a Prob. value of 0.0002 < apha 0.05 so that ha is fulfilled or ho is rejected and for the positive direction it is proven by the Coeffcient which is negative (1.216780). 2. Partially, exports have a negative but not significant effect on economic growth due to the acquisition of a Prob.0.2268> alpha 0.05 value so that ho is fulfilled or ha is rejected and for a negative direction it is proven by a negative Coefficient. (-0.448407) 3. Simultaneously Export and Import have a significant effect on Economic Growth with the acquisition of a Prob (F-Statistic) value of 0.00000 <0.05 meaning that the two variables significantly influence Economic Growth so that ha is fulfilled or ho is rejected 4. The Adjusted R-Square is 0.89, which means that much the two independent variables affect the dependent variable, namely GRDP, which means that there are still other models that affect the dependent variable.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the application of accrual-based Government Accounting Standards (GAS) in the financial statements of the Medan City Government. The implementation of accrual-based SAP is the government's effort to improve the quality of transparent and accountable financial reports in accordance with applicable regulations. Methods: The method used in this study is qualitative, using a literature review approach and secondary data obtained from previous research and official data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Results: Accrual-based Government Accounting Standards (GAS) is an accounting system that recognizes revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity in comprehensive financial reporting, thereby providing a more accurate picture of the financial condition. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of accrual-based SAP in regional government financial reports has generally been successful and in accordance with applicable standards. This is demonstrated by increasingly structured regional financial management and improvements in the transparency and accountability of financial reports. Data on Medan City's regional revenue realization in 2020 also indicates that the regional government has managed its finances quite well to support the implementation of government activities. Conclusions: Thus, the implementation of accrual-based SAP has an important role in improving the quality of local government financial reports and supporting the creation of good governance.
