Abstract

Abstract: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common diseases in the human urinary tract which can be caused by various microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. One of the parameters of urinalysis for early detection of UTI is urine leukocytes (leukocyturia). Community service activities aim to carry out early detection or screening of UTI disease in students at the Tahfidz Ahlul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. The sample for examination in community service activities is urine when tested using the dipstick method. Respondents who participated were as many as 47 people aged 10-26 years. The results of the examination were obtained from as many as 19 (42%) respondents who had negative leukocyte examination results and as many as 26 (58%) respondents who had positive leukocyte examination results. This service activity is expected to provide knowledge to the community not to frequently hold urination or urinate perfectly.

Abstract

Degenerative disease is one of the classes of diseases whose incidence is related to the degeneration process in old age whose development is directly related to time and age. This usually affects the joints, namely gout. Uric acid is the final metabolic product of purine, which is a component of nucleic acid found in the nucleus of body cells. Increased uric acid levels in the blood are not only caused by food consumed but there are several other factors, namely age, gender, body mass index, and genetics. In addition, in the elderly there is a decrease in the function of vital organs such as the liver and kidneys which can cause an increase in uric acid levels in the blood. The purpose of this study is health screening through uric acid examination. The method used was descriptive by involving 27 respondents who were willing to become subjects. The results showed that there were 10 respondents with increased uric acid examination results while 17 subjects showed normal uric acid examination results.

Abstract

Background: Premenopausal is a period that women will experience before heading to the menopause phase in the age range of 4 5-55 years. In the premenopausal period it is characterized by the instability of the hormone estrogen which will affect lipid metabolism which is closely related to the increase in abdominal fat known as abdominal or central obesity. The instability of the hormone estrogen results in hormonal changes that affect the levels of lipids in the body such as TG and LDL-Chol levels in the blood. Purpose: This study aimed to determine whether there was a relationship between Waist Circumference (Abdomen) and Triglyceride and Low Density Lipoprotein-Cholesterol (LDL-C) Levels in Premenopausal Women. Methods: This study used an analytical correlative method with a cross-sectional study approach. This study involved 40 research subjects who met the criteria. Results: the pearson correlation test analysis determined the relationship between the abdominal waist circle and TG levels in premenopausal women, the results of the p value = 0.351 and the pearson correlation test value = 0.15 were obtained. In the correlation between waist circumference (abdomen) and LDL- Chol levels in premenopausal women, p-value = 0.164 with a pearson correlation value of 0.224 was obtained. Conclusion: There was no relationship between Waist Circumference (Abdomen) and Triglyceride and Low Density Lipoprotein-Cholesterol (LDL-C) Levels in Premenopausal Women.

Abstract

The atherogenic index is a good test used to measure the level of atherogenicity associated with the risk of atherosclerosis. The atherogenic index is the logarithmic ratio of TG/HDL. Atherogenic index examination in the elderly is done to see their health status. Elderly is someone who has reached the age of more than 60 years and has experienced several changes in physiological functions that will have an impact physical and psychological conditions, including stress and emotions. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of the atherogenic index in elderly individuals. This type of research is descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The amount of data used in this study were 36 subjects obtained using the purposive sampling method. The results of the study at the age of 60-64 who had the resuts of the atherogenic index in the low category there were 6 respondents and the results of the atherogenic index in the moderate category there were 8 respondents, while for atherogenic index in the high category there were 16 respondents. Ages 65-69 obtained an atherogenic index in the low category, with one respondent in the high category, comprising 5 respondents. The conclusion of this study is that the atherogenic index value at the age of 60-69 obtained an atherogenic index in the low category; there were as many as 21 respondents, and the results of the atherogenic index in the moderate category were 8 respondents, while for the atherogenic index in the high category, there were 21 respondents.
