Abstract

This article discusses the synergistic role of the committee and the head of the madrasa in the process of achieving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Palopo. This study aims: to determine the form of synergy between the committee and the head of the madrasa in the process of achieving the quality of education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Palopo and to determine the indicators of education quality in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Palopo. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The sources of research data are madrasa committees, madrasa heads, and teachers. Data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the data for checking the validity of the research data were triangulated with sources.The results of this study indicate that the Madrasah Committee has synergized with the madrasah principal regarding its role as a consideration, supporter, controller, and mediator in the process of achieving quality education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Palopo. However, in carrying out the duties of the madrasa committee as representatives of the community, it has not been maximized, such as the implementation of its role in accommodating complaints from the community and there are still tasks and functions that have not been carried out, namely giving consideration to madrasa cooperation with other parties. Regarding the indicators of the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Palopo, it includes the management of its inputs (the process of accepting new students), the educational process (the learning process), and its output (which includes the quality of graduates achieved both academic and non-academic achievements).

Abstract

This research discusses Islamic Religious Education teachers' strategies to overcome student delinquency at SMA Negeri 3 North Luwu.  This research aims to find out (1) the forms of student delinquency, (2) the strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in handling student delinquency, and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers in the process.  This research methodology is descriptive and qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.  The data were analysed with data reduction, presentation, and verification stages.  The results showed that: (1) The forms of student delinquency in SMA Negeri 3 North Luwu are quite varied.  These behaviours include being late, leaving class, skipping class, fighting, using electronic devices that violate the rules, and fighting teachers.  (2) The strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers include preventive and curative measures, such as activating religious activities at school, providing motivation, collaborating with various parties, providing guidance and direction, and imposing punishment.  (3) The obstacles teachers face include the large number of students, the lack of cooperation between principals, teachers, and students, and students' uncontrolled use of social media.  This research contributes to providing an overview of how in turn, it can provide valuable information for the improvement of education in the future.

Abstract

The strategy of the head of the Madrasah in developing the performance of education personnel in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Kabera is the focus of this qualitative research. Data was collected from madrasah heads, education staff, and other involved parties and from school records, documents, and direct observations in the school environment. Data validity checks are performed through data triangulation to ensure consistency of findings. The data analysis technique used is thematic analysis. The results showed that the performance of education personnel in Madrasah Ibtidayah DDI Kabera can be categorized as good. They can complete tasks well and continue to improve their performance over time. Principals continuously evaluate performance using assessment tools, which contribute to their performance development. The principal's strategy for improving the performance of education personnel involves appreciation in the form of motivation, coaching, and encouragement. This boosts their passion for the task and improves its performance. A non-authoritarian leadership approach also plays a role in good cooperation between the principal and his staff. With the right strategy, the head of the Madrasah can create a meaningful and creative learning environment, improve the quality of education, and achieve the expected goals in Madrasah Ibtidayah DDI Kabera.
