Abstract

Marriage is a legal relationship in society which is an inner bond between a man and a woman as husband and wife to form a family (household), happy and eternal based on the belief in the Almighty God. Marriage is a very important thing in human life, both for individuals and groups. One of the initial frameworks for obtaining legal guarantees in a marriage is to register it with the authorized agency. A private marriage or invalid marriage is a marriage that is not registered at the civil registry office, but fulfills the basic pillars and requirements of marriage according to Islamic law. The legal consequence of divorce in obtaining private child custody according to western civil law is that the marriage does not disappear from child custody obligations. The aim of this research is to find out how to obtain and the legal consequences of child custody under western civil law. This research uses a normative juridical legal research method, a qualitative approach with a normative juridical research type. Data collection techniques through journal and book data sources regarding Juridical Review of the Legal Consequences of Divorce in Obtaining Child Custody in Underhand Marriages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan hukum adat dari masa kolonial Belanda hingga era Reformasi serta peran politik hukum dalam menentukan kedudukan dan implementasi hukum adat dalam sistem hukum Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian hukum normatif melalui studi pustaka, dengan menelaah buku, jurnal ilmiah, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan dokumen hukum yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada masa kolonial hukum adat diakui secara terbatas, pada masa kemerdekaan hingga Orde Lama diakui secara filosofis namun dibatasi dalam praktik, dan pada masa Orde Baru mengalami peminggiran akibat orientasi pembangunan. Era Reformasi menjadi titik balik dengan penguatan pengakuan hukum adat melalui landasan konstitusional dan kebijakan desentralisasi, meskipun implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan politik hukum yang konsisten dan inklusif untuk memperkuat posisi hukum adat dalam sistem hukum nasional.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the voting behavior of the people of Purwobinangun Village in the village head election, considering the influencing factors, decision-making processes, and obstacles faced. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, through interviews, observations, and documentation from various informants in Purwobinangun Village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency. The research results show that the selection behavior of the people of Purwobinangun Village is influenced by various factors. This research provides a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of voting behavior in rural communities, integrating sociological, psychological, and rational aspects. The results are expected to be useful for prospective village heads and success teams in developing more transparent and realistic campaign strategies, for local governments in improving political literacy and providing comprehensive information, and for the community to be more proactive in seeking information and considering choices rationally.

Abstract

Citizenship Education (PKn) has an important role in forming national character. This research aims to identify the influence of Citizenship Education learning on improving the character of Citizenship Education Program (PPKN) students at Medan State University (UNIMED). The research method used is quantitative analysis using a questionnaire to collect data from UNIMED PPKN students. The results of the research show that learning Citizenship Education has a significant positive influence on improving student character. These findings provide an important contribution in strengthening the role of Citizenship Education in shaping student character, as well as providing a basis for developing more effective learning strategies in the future. It is hoped that this research can provide useful insights for curriculum development and learning of Citizenship Education in higher education environments.
