Abstract

Introduction: Non-operational employees of the Terminal Jamrud Surabaya are faced with various work-related issues while performing their duties which can be stressful due to work demands, relationships with many parties, and workloads. This study analyzes the relationship between mental workload and work factors (role ambiguity, role conflict, job insecurity, and interpersonal conflict) with occupational stress for non-operational office employees at Terminal Jamrud Surabaya. Methods: This study was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The sample for this study were all employees of the Terminal Jamrud Surabaya office, up to 30 people. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire to assess stress levels and work factors variables. The mental workload was measured using the NASA - Task Load Index questionnaire. Results: The employees mostly have a mental workload, role ambiguity, role conflict, and interpersonal conflict in the moderate category, while the majority of office employees have job insecurity at a low level. Meanwhile, the stress levels felt by employees were mainly in the moderate category. The strong relationship between mental workload with occupational stress is 0.634, while work factors with stress levels consist of role ambiguity (r=0.523), role conflict (r=0.468), job insecurity (r=0.075), and interpersonal conflict (r=0.445). Conclusion: Variables that have a strong relationship are mental workload variables with stress levels in non-operational office employees at Terminal Jamrud Surabaya, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III.

Abstract

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Pabrik Gresik merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur pembuatan semen dan turunannya yang juga memiliki setiap potensi bahaya keselamatan terhadap setiap aktivitas pekerjaan. Banyaknya risiko bahaya kecelakaan kerja yang mungkin terjadi selama proses pembuatan semen dapat diminimalkan dengan melakukan safety behavior ketika bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor antecedent (pengetahuan dan persepsi) dan consequences (punishment) serta kuat hubungannya dengan safety behavior pada pekerja outsourcing bagian packer di PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Pabrik Gresik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan pengisian kuesioner yang sudah dilakukan uji validitas dan realibilitas sebelumnya. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total populasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan kategori sedang antara persepsi dengan safety behavior (C=0,415). Hubungan kategori lemah antara pengetahuan (C=0,389), dan punishment (C=0,381) dengan safety behavior. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan faktor consequences (punishment) memiliki hubungan yang lebih kuat dengan safety behavior daripada variabel lainnya. Perusahaan diharapkan dapat melakukan safety inspection secara rutin terutama untuk pengecekan kelayakan APD, menyediakan aplikasi pelaporan perilaku tidak aman untuk melibatkan pekerja dalam pengawasan safety behavior, serta memberikan reward pada pekerja yang melaporkan dan penghargaan pada pekerja yang konsisten melakukan safety behavior selama bekerja.

Abstract

Hasil rekapitulasi data accident menurut BPJS Ketenagakerjaan pada tahun 2017-2019 mengalami kenaikan sebanyak 9.420 kasus menjadi 183.835 kasus dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Salah satu penyebab accident adalah safety behavior, perilaku tersebut timbul akibat pengaruh faktor antecedent (kesadaran dan kebutuhan selamat) dan faktor consequence (positive reinforcement dan negative reinforcement). Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis faktor antecedent dan consequence dengan safety behavior pekerja outsourcing bagian packer di PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Pabrik Gresik. Jenis penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain penelitian studi cross-sectional. Metode total sampling digunakan dalam populasi kecil sebanyak 30 responden. Data primer dan sekunder didapatkan melalui wawancara, observasi, kuesioner, annual report, dan dokumen Departemen SHE untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai kesadaran, kebutuhan selamat, positive reinforcement, dan negative reinforcement. Analisis data menggunakan uji spearman untuk mengetahui kuat hubungan dengan bantuan software statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kuat hubungan antara kesadaran (r=0,297), kebutuhan selamat (r=0,910), positive reinforcement (r=0,386), dan negative reinforcement (r=0,711) dengan safety behavior. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan kategori sangat kuat antara kebutuhan selamat dan negative reinforcement dengan safety behavior. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan kategori lemah antara kesadaran dan positive reinforcement dengan safety behavior pekerja outsourcing bagian packer di PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Pabrik Gresik.

Abstract

Utilization of health services by pregnant and postpartum women can save women from the incidence of maternal death and severe complications during pregnancy and postpartum. Several factors that directly contribute to the utilization of health services are decision making and sources of information obtained by pregnant and postpartum women regarding the utilization of health services. This study aims to analyze gender equality in decision making on the use of health services in urban and rural areas of Indonesia. This study used a mixed-method approach from primary data and a literature review. The target in this article was pregnant women and postpartum mothers who were spread out in several health centers in Surabaya City and Bojonegoro Regency with a total of 175 respondents who were calculated using the proportion estimation formula. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that the wife in terms of the number of frequencies dominated in making decisions on the use of health services (92.5%). In addition, when the decision maker is the husband, all postpartum mothers (100%) will take advantage of health services. Related to the source of information that many respondents chose in providing information related to pregnancy health for the use of health services, it was health workers (86.3%) compared to other media. The wife's decision is a determinant in making decisions about the use of health services. On the other hand, husband’s support as a decision maker can also influence his wife to take advantage of health services.
