During the pandemic, healthcare facilities in Indonesia faced very vulnerable conditions. So far, dealing with the pandemic has had a significant impact on the national referral system for health services. Hospitals are the last line of defence for the increase in COVID-19 referral cases, leading to high percentage of BOR (Bed Occupancy Rate). We have selected several articles related to health services, especially hospitals, to provide perspectives and contributions to different referral health services.

Utilization of health services by pregnant and postpartum women can save women from the incidence of maternal death and severe complications during pregnancy and postpartum. Several factors that directly contribute to the utilization of health services are decision making and sources of information obtained by pregnant and postpartum women regarding the utilization of health services. This study aims to analyze gender equality in decision making on the use of health services in urban and rural areas of Indonesia. This study used a mixed-method approach from primary data and a literature review. The target in this article was pregnant women and postpartum mothers who were spread out in several health centers in Surabaya City and Bojonegoro Regency with a total of 175 respondents who were calculated using the proportion estimation formula. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that the wife in terms of the number of frequencies dominated in making decisions on the use of health services (92.5%). In addition, when the decision maker is the husband, all postpartum mothers (100%) will take advantage of health services. Related to the source of information that many respondents chose in providing information related to pregnancy health for the use of health services, it was health workers (86.3%) compared to other media. The wife's decision is a determinant in making decisions about the use of health services. On the other hand, husband’s support as a decision maker can also influence his wife to take advantage of health services.

Background and purpose: Indonesia has made several regulations to tackle the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, including large scale social limitation (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB)). This regulation is related to physical distancing in all sectors and activities, including religious activities. But efforts made by government and other organizations are not enough to ensure society that these regulations will not affect their religiosity. To strengthen this policy, majelis ulama Indonesia (MUI) and other Islamic organizations have made fatwa and official statement about how worships, especially those which are done in groups should be conducted during this pandemic. This paper aims to provide report and analysis of Islamic organizations response during pandemic in relation to Islamic worships during COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia Methods: This is a case study of Islamic organizations response during pandemic. It includes Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI), Muhammadiyah, and Nahdlatul Ulama responses (fatwa and official statement) to this issue and public responses as well. COVID-19 case also compared to vaccine hesitancy case, due to similarities of Islamic organization response between them. Results: Some fatwas had been made by MUI as response to Islamic worships performance during pandemic. But still there were cases like Banjarbaru and Solo case, indicating that fatwas could not guarantee the success of COVID-19prevention in religious worships. Conclusion: Religious and community leaders are needed to strengthen government move by helping government promote and educate people about health issues from religious perspectives. Moreover, some kinds of punishment made by government are needed to strengthen fatwas and rulings, as most of these religious opinions do not have legal enforcement.

In this short commentary article, the complex association between journalism, health policy, and political campaigning in Indonesia is explained, in need of more scholarly expansion. Within those limitations, the paper does alert to the necessary function journalism serves intrinsic to the public discourse that drives health policy recommendations, as well as noting how this has been perverted by misinformation and dwindling faith in the media. The article examines how journalism (including digital and social media) has shaped health policy advocacy and public opinion and highlights the role of the media in health communication campaigns and policy reform. Through scrutiny of its role in health policy advocacy, with a broader look at how journalism roles have shifted over time. In this article, the author demonstrated that journalism is a bridge between health policy experts and the public, enabling a more informed democratic engagement with health policy. These conclusions highlight the need to build a nexus between democratic journalism and health policy advocacy for public health priorities in Indonesia.
