Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop a model of Public Relations and digital media integration as an effective communication instrument in the digital era. The library method is used to collect and analyze data through literature studies from books, journals, and trusted sources related to communication, public relations, and digital media. Data were collected from digital libraries and journal databases, then analyzed qualitatively by describing, criticizing, and synthesizing the contents of the literature. A comparative approach was applied to connect various views, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of the integration of Public Relations and media as an effective communication instrument in the digital era. The results of the study indicate that the integration of Public Relations and digital media functions greatly influences the effectiveness of organizational communication in the digital era. The role of PR has shifted to be more strategic with a focus on building image, reputation, and public trust in a sustainable manner. The use of digital media allows for fast, broad, and interactive communication, and supports real-time crisis management. This synergy also enhances transparent and participatory two-way communication, strengthening the organization's closeness to the audience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi persepsi warga Perumahan Vinewood Babelan terhadap pemanfaatan fitur live streaming TikTok Shop dalam komunikasi pemasaran interaktif. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara tidak terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap lima informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa live streaming TikTok Shop memberikan pengalaman belanja yang interaktif, real-time, serta mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen terhadap produk. Interaksi langsung dengan penjual, demonstrasi visual produk, dan promo eksklusif selama siaran mendorong pembelian impulsif. Fitur ini efektif dalam menunjang elemen-elemen Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), seperti personal selling, direct marketing, sales promotion, dan customer engagement. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa TikTok Shop tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai platform transaksi digital, tetapi juga sebagai media komunikasi pemasaran yang relevan di era sosial digital. Abstract

Abstract this study aims to determine the influence of parental communication patterns on adolescents involvement in gang fights in the Rawabunga area, East Jakarta. Adolescents involved in such conflicts often experience communication barriers wuthin their families, mainly due to authoritatian, permissive, or closed communication styyles. This research employee a quantitative associative approach with Purposive Sampling technique. A total of 65 adolescents responden tsb with a history of involvement in gang fights were selected. Data were collected using a Linkert scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity test, reability tests, simple linear regression, and t-tests using SPSS. The results showed a significant negative influence between parental communication patterns and adilescents’ involvement in gang fights. The better the communication between parents and children, the lower the tendency of adolescents to engage in such behavior. The findings emphasize the importance of open, empathetic, and sipportive communication in families to prevent deviant behavior among adolescents.

Abstract

This research analyzes the representation of the meaning of loss in the Indonesian horror film, Racun Sangga: Santet Pemisah Rumah Tangga. Loss in this context is found to be multidimensional, covering the loss of love, harmony, and self-identity within a domestic setting influenced by mysticism and patriarchal structures. The research objective is to analyze how the meaning of loss is constructed and visually represented in the film's narrative. The study employs a qualitative approach using Roland Barthes' Semiotic Analysis (denotation, connotation, myth), framed within Stuart Hall's Representation Theory. The focus is on the film Racun Sangga, addressing issues of trauma and women's resistance. The analysis results indicate that loss is constructed as complex trauma, involving emotional devastation and social alienation. This is visualized through key symbols such as the broken mirror and the santet (black magic) doll. The findings also reveal ambiguous gender relations: while women are victims of patriarchy, the santet practice is used as a symbolic strategy of resistance to seek justice outside of the oppressive formal system. In conclusion, Racun Sangga functions as a cultural text that actively constructs a discourse on trauma, power, and spirituality in a society still shaped by mystical values.   Keywords: Representation, Loss, Film, Semiotics, Santet, Trauma.

Abstract

Social media has now become one of the most effective promotional tools in supporting business activities, especially in the rapidly evolving digital era. Instagram, as a visual-based social media platform, holds great potential in reaching consumers, particularly among young people. This study aims to analyze the Instagram social media management strategy of the @Tallethacosmetic account, a retail store specializing in cosmetics and fashion located in South Tambun, Bekasi. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods including semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis refers to Chris Heuer’s 4C theory, which includes Context, Communication, Collaboration, and Connection. The results show that the @Tallethacosmetic account creates content that aligns with the characteristics of its audience—women aged 18– 30—focusing on bright visuals and communicative language. Two-way communication is actively carried out through Instagram features such as stories, comments, polls, and direct messages. Collaborations with micro-influencers have been initiated, although not on a regular basis. The study concludes that an appropriate and consistent social media strategy can increase engagement, expand promotional reach, and build a positive brand image in the eyes of consumers.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought major changes in how organizations communicate and interact with their audiences. Social media, especially Instagram, has become a key platform for building brand image, reputation, and long-term relationships with the public. This study was motivated by the growing need for companies and creative agencies to apply effective and sustainable digital communication strategies in maintaining their brand image in an increasingly competitive creative industry. The purpose of this research is to explore how digital communication strategies are applied to maintain brand image through the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding. The findings show that the digital communication strategy focuses on creating organic content that emphasizes educational value, storytelling, and two-way interaction with audiences. Among the seven elements of IMC, the three most dominant are social media marketing, public relations, and interactive marketing. These strategies have proven effective in increasing audience engagement, building public trust, and maintaining a consistent, credible, and positive brand image on social media, particularly on the Instagram platform.

Abstract

Penelitian berfokus pada Instagram sebagai platform utama yang digunakan oleh akun @thesoundsproject (TSP) untuk dokumentasi acara, dengan menganalisis implementasinya berdasarkan Teori 4C Chris Heuer (Konteks, Komunikasi, Kolaborasi, dan Koneksi). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa TSP menyusun konten dokumentasi yang sangat relevan (relatable) dengan audiens muda penggemar musik (Konteks), menggunakan gaya penyampaian yang singkat, mudah dibagikan, dan kreatif, bahkan dalam menyajikan info seperti line-up. Komunikasi berlangsung dua arah dan aktif, ditandai dengan respons terhadap komentar, repost story penonton, dan penggunaan fitur interaktif (Komunikasi), serta konsistensi dalam music throwback dan update santai (Koneksi). TSP juga aktif menjalin kolaborasi dengan musisi, media partner, komunitas, dan brand (Kolaborasi). Dari sisi teknis, tim dokumentasi menekankan pentingnya memahami mood, konsep, dan branding event untuk memastikan kesesuaian output, di mana alur kerja tim dimulai dari meeting dan dipimpin oleh leader dokumentasi dan tim konten, menegaskan bahwa peran media sosial sangat besar mulai dari informasi pra-acara hingga video recap pasca-acara.

Abstract

Dalam sebuah perusahaan atau Lembaga, kelancaran komunikasi antara pimpinan dan karyawan sangat diperlukan demi kesuksesan perusahaan tersebut dalam mencapai tujuannya masing-masing. Sebagai perusahaan jasa logistik, komunikasi internal di SPX Express mencakup berbagai cara yang digunakan untuk memastikan informasi dan koordinasi yang efisien antara tim SPX Express dan pihak lain di dalam pengiriman termasuk para kurir. Hal ini penting untuk memastikan proses pengiriman yang lancar dan memberikan pelayanan yang optimal kepada pelanggan. Komunikasi internal yang dibangun secara berkesinambungan baik secara formal maupun informal, secara struktural maupun kekeluargaan tidak menjamin bahwa setiap kurir akan bertahan lama dan berkontribusi secara optimal, tetap saja akan muncul potensi – potensi Turn Over Intention. Karena itulah, efektifitas komunikasi internal di Shopee Express sangat diperlukan agar terbentuk employee engagement yang positif.

Abstract

The popular culture of South Korea, widely known as K-Pop, has become a global phenomenon with a significant influence across various countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze and understand the impact of K-Pop culture on the communication styles of Indonesian adolescents in Jakarta, particularly those categorized as Generation Z. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with active K-Pop fans, participatory observation, and documentation from social media and fan communities. The results indicate that K-Pop culture influences the communication style of teenagers in several aspects, including the use of Korean phrases and fandom-specific terms in daily conversations, changes in nonverbal communication styles such as expressions and body gestures, and increased digital interaction through social media. K-Pop culture also shapes social and group identity among teenagers, where they adapt their communication patterns based on the norms of the fan culture they are involved in. On the positive side, this cultural influence encourages youth to be more open to global cultures, enhances their interest in learning foreign languages, and broadens their social networks in the digital space. In conclusion, K-Pop culture has brought complex influences on the communication styles of Generation Z in Jakarta. These influences are not only linguistic but also social, cultural, and psychological. Therefore, it is important for parents, educators, and policymakers to understand this dynamic in order to provide appropriate guidance in responding to the presence of global cultural trends.

Abstract

In 2016, more than 1.9 billion people worldwide aged 18 and older had obesity problems, with 39% of them being men and 40% being women who were overweight, according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO). Of this total, 11% of men and 15% of women were identified as obese, meaning that approximately 650 million people suffer from severe obesity. Social media platforms serve as communication tools with a wide reach and significant influence on individual thought patterns and actions. Therefore, it is crucial to study the role of social media in conveying messages related to sports and health to the public. This study was conducted at Fit And Flex Gym in Bekasi to Understanding how members perceive content related to weightlifting and weight loss. Using the Social Construction of Reality Theory, it is explained that perception is shaped through social processes involving interaction and public communication, which include elements of externalization, objectification, and internalization. Using qualitative descriptive research methods, including in-depth interviews, documentation, and direct observation of four informants with diverse backgrounds, the results of this study confirm that the role of social media, particularly TikTok, in relation to weightlifting has shaped positive perceptions toward social media content about weightlifting and weight loss.
