Abstract

This study aims to analyse the outcomes of establishing valid, practical, effective Hybrid Learning tools based on Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) and their impact on students' metacognitive abilities. Research and Development (R D) and experimental research are used to conduct the study. The research subjects are consisted of three classes of 7th grade students. Collaborative Learning and Learning Community are implemented which are the components of LSLC. The 4-D model, which includes define, design, develop, and disseminate, is used to develop learning tools. Lesson plans, worksheets, and a metacognition ability test were created as a result of the research and met the criteria of being of valid, practical, and effective. Based on experimental research, there is a significant effect of Hybrid Learning tools based on Lesson Study for Learning Community on students' metacognitive abilities with p-value of 0.001 (sig 0.05).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Hybrid Learning berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community yang valid, praktis, efektif dan menganlisis pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan metakognisi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kombinasi atau mix method. Penelitian ini menggabungkan dua bentuk penelitian yaitu penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dan penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kelas siswa VII yang terdiri dari kelas uji coba, kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Komponen Lesson Study for Learning Community yang diterapkan yaitu Collaborative Learning dan Learning Community. Proses pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dilaksanakan melalui 4-D yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran. Hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Hybrid Learning berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community berupa RPP, LKS dan tes kemampuan metakognisi siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Berdasarkan penelitian eksperimen dan observasi, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan perangkat pembelajaran Hybrid Learning berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community terhadap kemampuan metakognisis siswa dengan nilai signifikasi 0.001 .

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of Joglo traditional house local wisdom into plane geometry learning and to analyze its contribution to the conceptual and contextual understanding of PGSD students. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, written tests, interviews, and documentation. A total of 41 students participated in learning activities that utilized the Joglo house as a cultural context in studying plane figures. The findings indicate that integrating local cultural elements supports students in understanding plane geometry concepts more concretely. Written test results show that 46.3% of students achieved the “good” category, 36.6% the “adequate” category, and 17.1% the “low” category. Students were able to identify trapezoids, rectangles, and squares within the architectural structure of the Joglo house and apply area and perimeter formulas more accurately. Interview data confirm that the cultural context facilitated shape identification, improved calculation processes, and provided more meaningful learning experiences through the values of balance and harmony embedded in Joglo architecture. Observation and task artefacts provide supporting evidence of active student engagement as well as the emergence of learning-related character traits such as independence, responsibility, and appreciation of local culture. Overall, the study highlights that learning activities that integrate local wisdom effectively strengthen mathematical understanding while fostering cultural awareness among prospective elementary school teachers. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan integrasi kearifan lokal rumah tradisional Joglo ke dalam pembelajaran geometri bidang dan menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap pemahaman konseptual dan kontekstual mahasiswa PGSD. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes tertulis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sebanyak 41 mahasiswa berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang menggunakan rumah Joglo sebagai konteks budaya dalam mempelajari bangun datar. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi unsur budaya lokal mendukung mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep geometri bidang secara lebih konkret. Hasil tes tertulis menunjukkan bahwa 46,3% mahasiswa mencapai kategori “baik”, 36,6% kategori “cukup”, dan 17,1% kategori “rendah”. Mahasiswa mampu mengidentifikasi trapesium, persegi panjang, dan persegi dalam struktur arsitektur rumah Joglo dan menerapkan rumus luas dan keliling dengan lebih akurat. Data wawancara menegaskan bahwa konteks budaya memfasilitasi identifikasi bentuk, meningkatkan proses perhitungan, dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna melalui nilai-nilai keseimbangan dan harmoni yang tertanam dalam arsitektur Joglo. Observasi dan artefak tugas memberikan bukti pendukung keterlibatan aktif siswa serta munculnya ciri-ciri karakter terkait pembelajaran seperti kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan apresiasi terhadap budaya lokal. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyoroti bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal secara efektif memperkuat pemahaman matematika sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran budaya di kalangan calon guru sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This social project aims to enhance elementary school students' interest and mathematical abilities through a deep learning-based mathematics learning model integrated with quick calculation techniques (jarimatika). The program was conducted at SDN Tegal Pasir, Jambesari Darus Solah District, Bondowoso Regency, involving 68 students from grades 1 to 6. The deep learning method applied emphasizes student-centered learning, hands-on practice, critical and creative thinking, and interactive discussions between students and facilitators. The application of quick calculation techniques in mathematics learning increased students' enthusiasm and active participation in learning activities. Results showed a 40% improvement in students' learning interest and numeracy skills compared to initial conditions. The deep learning-based mathematics learning model combined with quick calculation techniques proved effective in improving elementary school students' understanding, calculation speed, and interest in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to build students' awareness of the psychological impact of bullying through a school literacy approach at MI Nurul Jadid Bondowoso. The main problem is the low level of student understanding regarding the forms and impacts of bullying, which are often considered normal. The program was carried out by seven students through three meetings on September 20, October 4, and October 19, 2025, using a participatory literacy approach involving discussions, video analysis, mini-dramas, and reflections. Evaluation results showed a 91% increase in student understanding based on a comparison of pre-test and post-test results. The activity concluded with the distribution of snacks and an educational trip to the lake behind the school as a means of applying the values of empathy and togetherness. Teachers responded positively as the activity helped students understand the dangers of bullying and fostered an attitude of mutual respect. The program succeeded in changing student behavior to become more caring and is expected to create a school environment free from bullying.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of interactive learning development programs and the cultivation of a reading culture from an early age at SDN Karangsengon 1 Bondowoso to improve student learning achievement. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with elementary school students and teachers as research subjects. The aim is to identify various strategies and activities that can encourage students to be more active and creative in the learning process. The program process includes various activities such as the application of interactive learning media, shared reading activities, word-composing competitions, and writing literacy activities, with literacy-based task score achievements. Data collection is carried out through structured observations, class participation checklists, and documentation of student activity results. The results show that the application of interactive learning can increase student activity, creativity, and enthusiasm in the learning process, while literacy activities gradually foster students' interest in reading and reading habits. The implementation of the program also has a positive impact on students' understanding of learning materials and learning attitudes. Therefore, developing interactive learning integrated with a reading culture from an early age can be an effective strategy for improving the quality of learning and learning achievement of elementary school students. The results are expected to provide real benefits in improving learning achievement and fostering a reading culture among students at SDN Karangsengon 1 Bondowoso.

Abstract

Representasi matematis merupakan keterampilan penting bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) karena kemampuan ini menentukan cara mereka memahami, menjelaskan, dan mengkomunikasikan konsep matematika kepada siswa. Namun, penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa cenderung mengandalkan representasi simbolik dan jarang menggunakan bentuk representasi lain seperti visual dan verbal. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan jenis representasi matematis yang digunakan mahasiswa PGSD dalam menyelesaikan masalah dari berbagai bidang matematika, yaitu aljabar, geometri, trigonometri, dan statistika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik simple random sampling pada 36 mahasiswa. Data diperoleh melalui dokumentasi hasil pekerjaan mahasiswa, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi simbolik mendominasi pada sebagian besar jenis masalah, terutama aljabar (64%) dan statistika (69%). Representasi visual masih rendah meskipun dibutuhkan dalam geometri, dan representasi verbal juga jarang digunakan. Penggunaan kombinasi representasi muncul tetapi dengan persentase terbatas, mencerminkan bahwa kemampuan translasi antarrepresentasi belum optimal. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa mahasiswa belum memiliki fleksibilitas representasi, sehingga pembelajaran di PGSD perlu mengintegrasikan multi-representasi, meningkatkan latihan visual dan verbal, serta menilai proses berpikir mahasiswa melalui berbagai bentuk representasi.

Abstract

The quality of mathematical problem construction plays a crucial role in supporting meaningful problem-solving learning. However, errors in both mathematical reasoning and grammatical structure are still frequently found in problems designed by prospective teachers. This research focuses on analyzing the patterns of mathematical and grammatical errors in problem-solving tasks based on local wisdom constructed by prospective elementary school teachers. A qualitative research design based on document analysis was employed in this study. The data consisted of 225 essay-type problems created by 45 students in a mathematics problem-solving course. Data were analyzed through close reading, coding, categorization, interpretation, and reconstruction of the problems. The findings reveal that errors were predominantly related to modeling, misconceptions of terminology, inappropriate strategy selection, and inaccuracies in mathematical notation. In addition, grammatical issues such as ambiguity, inconsistent terminology, and imprecise logical connectors were found to contribute significantly to misinterpretation and flawed mathematical reasoning. These results indicate that language and mathematical structure are closely interconnected in problem construction. Strengthening prospective teachers’ competencies in both mathematical modeling and linguistic precision is therefore essential to improve the validity and effectiveness of assessment instruments.
