Abstract

Karya sastra yang merupakan salah satu alat untuk melukiskan kehidupan manusia baik persoalan secara pribadi maupun secara menyeluruh.. Sastra dapat mencerminkan ajaran moral (didaktis), estetika dan berbagai hal yang menyangkut tata pergaulan sesama umat manusia. Pendekatan struktural memandang dan menelaah novel sebagai salah satu karya sastra dari segi intrinsik yang membangun suatu karya sastra itu sendiri dan tidak akan terlepas dari nilai didaktis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tema novel tersebut yakni penebusan cinta yang berlebihan dengan serangkain pembunuhan dengan menggunakan alur campuran, latar tempat, latar waktu dan latar sosial. Adapun sudut pandang yang digunakan pengarang ialah sudut pandang diaan (pengarang berperan sebagai pengamat yang serba tahu), tokoh /penokohan dalam novel yaitu tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan serta protagonis dan antagonis. Amanat dalam novel ini ialah jangan mencintai dengan berlebihan pastikan bahwa cinta yang kita berikan adalah cinta yang tulus, bersyukur atas apa yang sudah Tuhan berikan dan tidak menjadi manusia yang serakah. Gaya bahasa (majas) dalam novel yang didapat adalah majas repetisi, metafora, allegori, personifikasi, metonemia, antithesis, hiperbola, pleonasme, repetisi, dan sarkasme. Pada novel tersebut ditemukan nilai-nilai didaktis yang dapat diterapkan oleh setiap anggota masyarakat yaitu nilai pendidikan religius, moral, sosial, budaya, dan keindahan.

Abstract

This research was prepared with the aim of improving the writing skills of students in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, UHNP using the Glasser model with the help of animation media based on local wisdom. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), where the teacher is the implementer of the learning while the researcher is the observer. This research design uses the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, namely in March. The subjects of this research were students from the Indonesian language education study program, consisting of 20 students. The object of research is students' writing skills. Data collection techniques use tests and observation. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in table form. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' writing skills, the average writing skills score in the first cycle of the first meeting was 65.45 and the second meeting was 68.05. In cycle II the average value of speaking skills for the first meeting was 70.65 and for the second meeting was 89.5. This means that improving learning outcomes by using the glasser model with the help of animation media based on local wisdom can improve the skills of students in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student agency through the manifestation of motivation and participation within the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model at SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores how students articulate their self-capacity within a project-based learning ecosystem. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the students. The data analysis is grounded in the dimensions of intrinsic-extrinsic motivation as well as cognitive, emotional, and social participation. The results indicate that PjBL serves as an incubation space for agency, capable of enhancing students' intrinsic motivation and learning autonomy. However, the findings reveal that student agency is not uniform; variations in engagement arise due to the influence of self-efficacy and the dynamics of peer relations within groups. These findings underscore that student agency develops optimally when supported by adaptive teacher facilitation, authentic project relevance, and inclusive group management. This study concludes that PjBL effectively acts as a catalyst for student agency when implemented contextually in learning situations that value student voice and choice.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe language variations in the film Harta Tahta Boru Ni Raja through a sociolinguistic study. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study analyzed 102 speech data classified based on the aspects of speakers, usage, formality, and means. The results of the study show: (1) The speaker aspect is dominated by personal idiolect, Toba Batak dialect (horas, lae), chronolect in the form of modern slang (baper, ready), and sociolect of student groups (dosping, ospek). (2) The usage aspect includes the journalistic variety of radio broadcasts, academic scientific variety, and military terms. (3) The formality aspect reflects social relations through official, business (consultative), casual, and familiar varieties (bacot, gue-lu). (4) The means aspect includes spoken, telephone, and digital messaging (WhatsApp) varieties. These findings prove that the film authentically portrays the dynamics of language as a social practice that represents Batak ethnic identity amidst the influence of popular culture and the development of communication technology. The diversity of language variations found is significantly influenced by social background, situation, and the purpose of communication between characters.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa secara umum sebagai calon pendidik dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang terintegrasi dengan kearifan lokal. Target kegiatan mencakup empat aspek utama. Pertama, mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep esensial dalam pembelajaran yang dapat disajikan secara lebih efektif melalui media berbasis ICT, dengan indikator minimal 50% materi dapat diimplementasikan. Kedua, terbentuknya kelompok belajar mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan dalam pemanfaatan ICT, dengan target sekurang-kurangnya 75% peserta memiliki pemahaman yang baik dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Ketiga, dihasilkannya produk media pembelajaran yang inovatif, eksploratif, dan kontekstual berbasis kearifan lokal, dengan capaian minimal 80% mahasiswa mampu menguasai dan mengaplikasikan media tersebut. Keempat, terbukanya peluang pengembangan jiwa kewirausahaan melalui produksi media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang bernilai ekonomis. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui metode pendampingan, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang terintegrasi dengan budaya lokal. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam merancang pembelajaran yang inovatif, adaptif, dan kontekstual, serta membentuk calon pendidik yang peka terhadap perkembangan teknologi dan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam proses pembelajaran.
