Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of organizational climate and emotional intelligence on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at PT. Indo Bismar Surabaya. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling, specifically Simple Random Sampling, with a sample size of 53 employees. Data collection was conducted through interviews and the distribution of questionnaires via Google Forms. The research method was assisted by the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique using Smart PLS software version 4.0.8.6. The hypothesis testing results indicate the following: There is a non-significant positive influence between organizational climate and employee performance. There is a non-significant positive influence between emotional intelligence and employee performance. There is a significant positive influence between organizational climate and motivation. There is a significant positive influence between emotional intelligence and motivation. There is a significant positive influence between motivation and employee performance. There is a significant positive influence between the organizational climate variable and employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable. There is a significant positive influence between the emotional intelligence variable and employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work environment and workload on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. Pegadaian Wiyung Surabaya Branch. The population in this study is the company PT. Surabaya Wiyung Branch Pawnshop. The research method is assisted by the Partial Least Square program which is used with SmartPLS 4.0 software. This type of research used is quantitative research. Data taken using a questionnaire. The results showed that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, workload has a negative and insignificant effect, and job satisfaction has employee performance has a negative and insignificant effect,work environment has a negative and insignificant effect through job satisfaction on employee performance at PT. Pegadaian Wiyung Surabaya Branch, and workload has a negative and insignificant effect through job satisfaction on employee performance at PT. Pegadaian Wiyung Surabaya Branch.

Abstract

Buah naga merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi karena karakteristiknya yang unik, cita rasa yang khas, serta kandungan nutrisi yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Namun, pemanfaatan buah naga masih didominasi pada bagian daging buah, sedangkan kulitnya sering kali dianggap sebagai limbah yang memiliki nilai ekonomi rendah. Padahal, kulit buah naga merah mengandung senyawa antosianin yang berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna alami pangan yang aman dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah limbah kulit buah naga melalui pengembangan produk olahan berupa stik makanan ringan yang diberi merek Hylo Poly. Pendampingan usaha dilakukan kepada UMKM Usaha Kuliner di daerah Pangpajung Madura selama dua bulan, mulai dari proses produksi, pengemasan, hingga pemasaran produk. Dari perspektif ekonomi, pemanfaatan limbah kulit buah naga mampu menciptakan nilai tambah (value added), mengurangi biaya lingkungan akibat limbah organik, serta membuka peluang usaha berbasis inovasi dan ekonomi sirkular. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa usaha yang dijalankan UMKM Usaha Kuliner di daerah Pangpajung Madura dapat berkembang dengan baik, produk diterima oleh konsumen, dan menghasilkan keuntungan yang cukup signifikan. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan limbah kulit buah naga tidak hanya mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan, tetapi juga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pendapatan dan pengembangan jiwa kewirausahaan UMKM Usaha Kuliner di daerah Pangpajung Madura.
