Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Comprehensible Input and Incomprehensible Input for enhancing English speaking skill of recount text related to gender difference. This studyis a quantitative in nature, using an experimental factorial design 2x2. The participants of this study were 129students of the tenth gradersof Computer-Networking Department at State Vocational School 1 Slawi.Thestudents were divided into two groups, experimental group1 and experimental group2. Each group consisted of 2 classes. The students of experimental group1 were given Comprehensible Input in learning speaking skill of recount text and the experimental group2 were given Incomprehensible Input in learning speaking skill of recount text.This study used random sampling as its sampling technique.The findings of this study show that both comprehensible input and incomprehensible input have significant effect for enhancing speaking skill of recount text regardless of the gender. However, input given for enhancing thespeaking skill and student’s gender do not have any interactions.

Abstract

This research is a research and development (R & D) study. The procedures in conducting this research were held in some activities involving the lecturer and the students of Sharia Banking study program. Some activities will also involve some experts in certain fields, i.e. English materials expert and Sharia Banking expert. The objectives of this research study are: (1) to identify the needs in conducting a matriculation program for Sharia Banking study program which are developed; (2) to design the materials for Sharia Banking study program in accordance to the implementation of a matriculation program. Based on the findings on the needs, the matriculation program covers materials such as grammar review, and the four macro skills review. The materials provide relevant reviews which enable to show the competency of each students. In terms of the goal, it helps the students to accelerate their level to the required level to start the new semester. From research result, the average normalized gain shows up 0, 47 meaning that the design for matriculation program has an average effectiveness and can describe the competence level of Sharia Banking study program students. At last, this reference will be able to help in designing a matriculation program for Sharia Banking study program.

Abstract

This is a research and development (R & D) study in nature. In conducting this research, the researcher focus on using English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in providing the materials. Some activities involved some experts in certain fields, namely English materials expert and each of study program experts. The objectives of this research are: (1) To produce authentic reading text module for students with heterogeneous backgrounds in knowledge and fields of study. 2. To validate authentic reading text module for students with heterogeneous backgrounds in knowledge and fields of study. Based on the findings on the needs, the reading text module covers relevant and authentic materials which enable to enhance the comprehension of the students. It is believed that the module helps the students as the foundation of their background of knowledge. From the result, the average normalized gain shows up 0, 44 meaning that the design for reading module has an average effectiveness and can describe the students’ background of knowledge. At last, this reference will be able to help in designing a reading text module for each study program at IBN Tegal.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya konversi akad di Kospin Jasa Syariah Tegal dan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan konversi akad yang dilakukan di Kospin Jasa Syariah Tegal, serta bagaimana pandangan DSN-MUI terkait proses konversi akad yang dilakukan di Kospin Jasa Syariah Tegal. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode field research, Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa konversi akad pada Kospin Jasa Syariah Tegal dilakukan berdasarkan surat permohonan yang diajukan nasabah berupa permintaan penurunan angsuran per bulan. Berdasarkan kesepakatan antara pihak Kospin dengan nasabah kemudian dilakukan konversi pada pembiayaan umum dari akad murabahah menjadi akad musyarah mutanaqishah. Konversi akad murabahah menjadi akad musyarakah mutanaqishah dilakukan ketika penyelamatan pembiayaan tidak dapat diselesaikan dengan strategi sebelumnya dan hanya dilakukan pada nasabah yang masih prospektif. Pelaksanaan konversi akad pada Kospin Jasa Syariah Tegal ini belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan Fatwa DSN-MUI No.49/DSN-MUI/II/2005, namun pemilihan konversi akad dari akad murabahah menjadi akad musyarakah mutanaqishah sesuai dengan fatwa DSN-MUI No.73/DSN-MUI/XI/2008
