Abstract

The end of end of this disaster become a popular issue abrasion due to impact on regional development. Research objectives, namely: 1) know the attitude of the Government and the community in disaster control abrasion. 2) know the attitude of the society towards a model of disaster control abrasion socialized, 3) Determine a strategy for controlling disaster of abrasion on the coast of Maros. The location of the research is on the coast of Celebes Maros. Maros there are 4 Subdistrict on the beach. Of the four sub socialisation model disaster control abrasion. Socializing is done directly to the public, and the samples are purposive each subdistrict. This is done because there is a problem between the communities by government regulations related to the prohibition of cutting down mangrove tampa earlier socialization. The results showed that: 1) the attitude of the Government quite well against natural disasters because the Agency has made disaster relief areas, and also has made rules of disaster mitigation, especially each disaster. The weakness of the Government's attitude is socializing less directly, only done representation of local authorities. But the attitude of the society towards the disaster still low abrasion, due to expansion of land farmed by converting mangrove forests. 2) attitudes towards disaster mitigation are socialized is high enough because of all the willing to carry out if there is a government program. 3) disaster control strategies i.e. abrasion with community empowerment with the extension and training to enhance the knowledge of the importance of disaster mitigation, the Government and society in cooperation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of tofu factory liquid waste on the water quality of the Gentung River, Pangkep Regency. Quantitative descriptive analysis is used to analyze and process data presented narratively. The data was obtained from laboratory test results taken from five sampling points  (one wastewater sample point as a pollutant, three river water sample points in the tofu factory area, and one river water sample as comparative data) which was then compared with the water quality standard requirements of the secondclass river. Survey data, observations, and documentation were also used to strengthen the laboratory analysis results of this research. The research results show that tofu factory liquid waste hurts river water quality in terms of the parameters Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Dissolved Solids (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and Total Organic Matter. The temperature, color, and pH parameters meet the established river water quality standards. So, it can be seen that the water from the Gentung River, Pangkep Regency, which is in the Tofu Factory Area, cannot be used as a source of clean water for thecommunity and agricultural land and similar uses because the water is polluted. This research can be used as a source of information for local stakeholders who are taking steps to address environmental problems.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Drought is a hydrometeorological disaster that has a major impact on water availability and agricultural sustainability. This study maps drought vulnerability levels in Gowa Regency using a Geographic Information System–based weighted overlay method with seven parameters, namely rainfall, soil type, slope, elevation, distance from rivers, land use, and vegetation density, which were analyzed through weighting techniques and equal interval classification in ArcGIS 10.3. The results show that the study area is divided into five vulnerability classes: very low (6.10%), low (33.48%), moderate (39.31%), high (17.76%), and very high (3.35%), with spatial patterns varying across districts. Most areas fall within the low to moderate vulnerability categories, while high vulnerability is mainly found in wetland and dryland agricultural zones that experience high pressure on water use. These findings indicate that the weighted overlay–based geospatial approach is effective in depicting the spatial distribution of drought vulnerability and can serve as a basis for water resource management planning, risk mitigation, and strengthening food security in Gowa Regency. ABSTRAK Kekeringan merupakan bencana hidrometeorologi yang berdampak besar terhadap ketersediaan air dan keberlanjutan pertanian. Penelitian ini memetakan tingkat kerawanan kekeringan di Kabupaten Gowa menggunakan metode weighted overlay berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis dengan tujuh parameter, yaitu curah hujan, jenis tanah, kemiringan lereng, ketinggian, jarak dari sungai, penggunaan lahan, dan kerapatan vegetasi yang dianalisis melalui teknik pembobotan dan klasifikasi equal interval pada ArcGIS 10.3. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa wilayah penelitian terbagi ke dalam lima kelas kerawanan, yaitu sangat rendah (6,10%), rendah (33,48%), sedang (39,31%), tinggi (17,76%), dan sangat tinggi (3,35%) dengan pola spasial yang bervariasi antar kecamatan. Sebagian besar wilayah berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang, sementara tingkat kerawanan tinggi terutama ditemukan pada kawasan pertanian lahan basah dan lahan kering yang memiliki tekanan penggunaan air yang besar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan geospasial berbasis weighted overlay efektif untuk menggambarkan distribusi kerawanan kekeringan dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai dasar perencanaan pengelolaan sumber daya air, mitigasi risiko, dan penguatan ketahanan pangan di Kabupaten Gowa.
