Abstract

The general objective of this classroom action research is to develop students' abilities to actively participate in mathematics learning between students and teachers, by using realistic approach techniques to improve students' mathematics results or achievement. Using realistic techniques, this classroom action research was conducted over two time periods. Planning, activities, observation, and reflective analysis form four phases in each cycle. To discuss a series of work, and the final test of the cycle each student gathers with other group members. The results of classroom action research are: (1) student achievement has increased compared to before; (2) cycle I only had 72.42% willingness to learn; and (3) cycle II needs corrective action. Based on the observation results of the second cycle, it increased to 96.55%. According to this research, learning mathematics will be more effective if students take a realistic approach to each subject matter, so teachers are advised to make a practical approach to subject matter in each lesson.

Abstract

Changes in the independent curriculum have made many teachers unprepared with appropriate learning innovations to be applied. With the STEAM-Based Learning Development Training activity for elementary school teachers, it is expected to be a forum for teachers to be able to plan STEAM learning that can be applied in schools. The training was attended by 40 elementary school teachers in Magetan Regency, which was held offline and online. The implementation of this training uses The Training Cycle method, which includes analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of training. The results of the training that have been held show that participants gain new knowledge about STEAM learning and its implementation in the independent curriculum. In addition, the trainees get a new ability to create STEAM-based teaching modules.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan dengan menggunakan media kantong bilangan pada siswa kelas II b SDN Jombatan Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus melibatkan 4 tahapan, yaitu : Perencanaan (Planning), Tindakan (Action), Pengamatan (Observation), dan Refleksi (Reflection). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media kantong bilangan pada Matematika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas II b SDN Jombatan Jombang. Saat belum diberikan tindakan, hanya 10 siswa atau 37% yang memenuhi syarat KKM. Pada kegiatan tindakan siklus I terjadi peningkatan yaitu 12  siswa atau 44% yang mencapai KKM dan siklus II terdapat 23 siswa atau 85% yang berhasil mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siklus I dan siklus II juga mengalami peningkatan dari 65 menjadi 85. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan dengan menggunakan media kantong bilangan dari siklus I ke siklus II.
