Abstract

ABSTRAKKecemasan matematika adalah salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika. Faktor tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal, baik berkaitan dengan faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal peserta didik. Dalam tulisan ini akan membahas tentang apa itu kecemasan matematika, indikator kecemasan matematika, dampak serta cara mengatasinya. Berdasarkan beberapa penelitian tentang kecemasan matematika, terlihat bahwa kecemasan matematika sangat berpengaruh negatif terhadap hasil belajar/prestasi belajar maupun berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan matematis peserta didik. Sebagai seorang guru atau calon guru juga harus mengurangi kecemasan matematika sehingga dapat mengurangi kecemasan matematika yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Sehingga pada saat memberikan pengajaran tidak terjadi kesalahan dalam penyampaian serta dapat mengurangi kecemasan matematika siswa. Seorang guru / pengajar harus mengerti tentang bagaimana indikator kecemasan matematika siswa, sehingga dapat mengatasi kecemasan matematika yang terjadi pada siswa.Kata kunci: kecemasan matematika. ABSTRACTMath anxiety is one of the factors that affect mathematics achievement. These factors can be influenced by several things, both with regard to internal factors and external factors learners. In this paper will discuss what it is about math anxiety, math anxiety indicators, impacts, and how to overcome them. Based on several studies of math anxiety, math anxiety appears that negatively affect the results of the teaching / learning achievement and influence to the mathematical abilities of learners. As a teacher or prospective teacher should also reduce math anxiety so as to reduce math anxiety owned by students. So that when giving instruction error does not occur in the delivery and may reduce students mathematical anxiety. A teacher/tutors should understand how math anxiety indicator of students, so as to overcome math anxiety that occurs in students.at home.Keywords: math anxiety.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai landasan teori pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkandalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika. Banyak penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti dalam halpenggunaan teori dalam mengajar matematika. Teori pembelajaran matematika yang cukup terkenal dan seringdigunakan dalam hal penelitian dalam bidang pembelajaran matematika diantaranya adalah Teori APOS dariEd Dubinsky, teori Van Hiele, teori Brune, teori Piaget, Model teori Pirie Dan Kieren, masih banyak lagiteori-teori belajar yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Pemahaman matematika sangat perludiketahui oleh seorang pengajar agar mampu menerapkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tingkatanpemahaman matematika. Pentingnya pemahaman matematika yang seperti dijelaskan tersebut, dijelaskan padateori belajar tentang perkembangan pemahaman matematika yaitu Model teori Pirie Dan Kieren. Levelperkembangan pemahaman matematika tersebut antara lain adalah primitive knowing(Pk), image making(Im),image having(Ih), property noticing(Pn), formalising (F), observing(O), structuring(S), dan inventising(Iv).

Abstract

This research is a study that discusses the influence of mathematics on grade VII students—learning outcomes at SMP NEGERI 3 Kota Bengkulu. This study's population was all students of class VII SMP NEGERI 3 Bengkulu City, which consisted of 130 famous students in 5 classes. Samples were taken using the random sampling technique. Then, a sample of class VII.2 was chosen, possibly 20 students. This study using a questionnaire and documentation. The data were obtained using a questionnaire, while the documentation in this study was used to obtain learning data obtained from teacher data in the form of daily math test scores. In the research analysis, prerequisite tests were used, such as the normality test, linearity test, and product moment test with SPSS version 22. The analysis results obtained a value of 0.754, which indicates that the relationship's level is healthy between the two variables. There is a positive sign indicating that the property is valuable. Positive and unidirectional. The results of the analysis using Pearson products when the significance value was obtained 0.000. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the effect of mathematics on learning outcomes at SMP NEGERI 3 Kota Bengkulu.Keywords: Mathematics anxiety, learning outcomes

Abstract

This exploratory study investigates the teaching and learning of mathematical proofs, specifically focusing on real nalysis proofs, in mathematics education programs at the higher education level in Bengkulu Province. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, classroom observations, and document analysis of students' assignments. The findings reveal that lecturers employ various teaching strategies, such as active learning, step-by-step explanations, and the use of technology to aid understanding. However, students face significant challenges, including difficulties with abstract thinking, gaps in foundational knowledge, and the complex language of mathematical proofs. Despite these challenges, students reported improvements in their logical reasoning, problem-solving, and self-confidence as they were engaged in the construction mathematical proofs. Classroom observations confirmed that collaborative learning was effective in promoting understanding. Document analysis of students' assignments indicated a range of proficiency levels, with some students struggling to produce clear and logical proofs. The study highlights the importance of mathematical proofs in developing critical thinking skills and analytical abilities. It suggests that more interactive, student-centered teaching methods are necessary to address the challenges students face and improve learning outcomes. These findings provide valuable insights for enhancing teaching practices and supporting students' mastery of mathematical proofs.

Abstract

Background: This research develops a foundational mathematics textbook for PGMI students based on the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) framework, contextualized within houses of worship to foster deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.Aim: The study aims to design and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the textbook while gauging students’ responses and performance improvements.Method: Using a research and development (R&D) model, this study validated the textbook through expert reviews and tested its practicality and effectiveness in small-scale and broader applications. Data were obtained through a combination of observations, interviews, surveys, and tests measuring students' conceptual comprehension. Statistical evaluations, including descriptive analysis and t-tests, were employed.Results: The textbook received validation from subject matter, presentation, and language experts, who confirmed its content and structural accuracy. Trial phases categorized the textbook as highly practical, while broader field testing indicated that students using the textbook demonstrated significantly greater improvement in conceptual understanding compared to those without it.Conclusion: The RMT-based textbook aligns with its intended objectives and provides a contextually appropriate tool for improving mathematical comprehension. These findings highlight its potential as an effective resource for mathematics learning in PGMI contexts.

Abstract

Background : Number theory is often perceived as a difficult subject by students, particularly when taught using conventional textbooks. This challenge highlights the need for a more effective and interactive learning resource that aligns with students’ learning styles and curriculum requirements.Aim : This study aims to develop a comprehensive and curriculum-aligned number theory textbook to improve the understanding of students in the Mathematics Education Program at UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu.Method : The research employed the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study began with a needs analysis followed by the development of an interactive textbook. A total of 49 students participated in the study, divided into two groups: the Experimental Group (using the developed textbook) and the Control Group (using a conventional textbook). The effectiveness of the textbook was evaluated using N-Gain scores and t-tests.Results : The research found that the students in the Experimental Group, who used the newly developed textbook, demonstrated a significant improvement in understanding number theory compared to the Control Group. The Experimental Group showed a higher average N-Gain, suggesting that the developed textbook was more effective in enhancing student comprehension of number theory. The positive results indicated that the interactive and curriculum-aligned design of the textbook played a crucial role in improving the learning experience and outcomes for students.Conclusion : The findings suggest that the developed number theory textbook effectively enhances students’ comprehension and is appropriate for use as a teaching resource in the Mathematics Education Program at UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of Guided Inquiry Learning-oriented learning with a scientific approach on understanding mathematical concepts of PGMI UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu students. The research design uses an experimental method with an experimental group and a control group. The results of the analysis show that students who were taught using Guided Inquiry Learning-oriented learning experienced a significant increase in understanding mathematical concepts compared to learning without a Guided Inquiry Learning orientation, even though both used a scientific approach. A significant value of less than 0.05 in a statistical test indicates that the difference can be considered statistically significant. However, the results of further analysis showed that there was no significant difference in increasing understanding of mathematical concepts between classes that used the Scientific Approach and the control group in two particular classes (Class=2 and Class=3). A P-value greater than 0.05 in statistical analysis indicates that the results are not statistically significant. Thus, although there was a significant increase in understanding of mathematical concepts in the group that implemented Guided Inquiry Learning-oriented learning, this research also showed that there was no significant difference in this increase between this group and the control group in two particular classes. These results provide further understanding about the effectiveness of certain learning methods in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter pada anak usia dini bukan hanya menjadi tanggung jawab guru, tetapi juga tanggung jawab orangtua dan masyarakat lainnya. Sangat penting memahami perkembangan karakter anak sejak usia dini. Usiadini merupakan masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sangat menentukan perkembangan masa selanjutnya Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah Relevansi dongeng dengan pembentukan karakter anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Relevansi dongeng dengan pembentukan karakter anak usia dini.Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan (library tesearch), yaitu; penelitian teks/naskah, penelitian materi bahasa dan sastra, dan penelitian-penelitian suatu korpus yang sumbernya dari bahan-bahan pustaka. Dalam menjawab masalah ini, peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan menyusun atau mengklarifikasi, dan menganalisanya, teknik pengumpulan data mengadakan studi penelaan terhadap buku-buku, literatur-literatur, catatan-catatan, dan laporan-laporan yang ada hubunganya dengan masalah yang dipecahkan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa dongeng merupakan metude yang sangat bagus untuk pembentukan karakter anak usia dini karena dangan dongeng anak akan lebih capat memahami pesan moral dan karakter apa yang ingin di sampaikan melalui dongeng tersebut . Oleh karena itu pembentukan karakter perlu dibentuk dan dibina sejak usia dini. Ada puncara pengembangan karakter yaitu melalui pola pengasuhan dari lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan peran ligkungan masyarakat. Kata kunci: Relevansi, Dongeng, pembentukan karakter

Abstract

Pada Usia dini (prasekolah) adalah usia yang efektif dalam mengembangkan berbagai potensi yang dimiliki anak. Masa ini disebut masa keemasan (golden ages) sebab masa anak yang sangat peka untuk menerima rangsangan-rangsangan dari lingkungannya, baik yang berkaitan dengan aspek moral agama, sosial emosional, bahasa, kognitif dan fisik. Matematika prasekolah tidak terletak pada penguasaan aritmatika dasar. Namun, memberikan pengalaman matematika dalam permainan mereka, menjelaskan, dan berpikir tentang dunia mereka. Pengalaman matematika tersebut lebih mengenalkan siswa pada konsep matematika. Konsep matematika adalah ide abstrak dalam menggolongkan matematika berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu atau menggolongkan contoh dan bukan contoh dalam matematika. Konsep dasar yang dapat dikenalkan pada siswa PAUD yaitu konsep berhitung dan konsep geometri. Kedua konsep tersebut dalam pengajarannya, siswa PAUD dikenalkan dengan beberapa benda yang berada dilungkungan sekitar mereka sehingga konsep matematika tersebut dapat dipahami dan dimengerti lebih mendalam oleh para siswa. Misalnya dalam berhitung, siswa dikenalkan dengan jumlah benda yang ada disekitar mereka, seperti permen, kelereng dan lainnya. Untuk benda geometri misalnya dikenalkan bentuk bola, lingkaran dan lainnya dengan benda-benda yang menyerupai bentuk geometri tersebut.Kata Kunci : Pengajaran, Konsep Matematika, AUD
