Abstract

AbstractThe corona virus has hit almost the whole world, including Indonesia. This pandemic has been going on for almost 3 years. This pandemic has destroyed almost all sectors, both in the economy and in education. So this makes students to study at home (online) including students in Medan. So the researchers conduct online survey at SMP Bina Satria Mulia Medan. The purpose of this research is to find out students’ readiness on E- Learning through Google Classroom during Covid. Therefore, the researchers conduct the study by using survey research design with Likert Scale to get the data by sending the questionnaires to 28 students. There are differences in students' technological readiness before and after learning through the application of Google Classroom. Before learning, the category was less ready and after learning the implementation of Google Classroom had a ready category. Based on this analysis, the implementation of Google Classroom on students' technological readiness for English material at Bina Satria Mulia Medan has technology readiness in the ready category. English has a very important influence for students both as communication tools with foreign speakers and also has a very important role to support students in studying other fields of study. Therefore, the curriculum developed now aims to be able to prepare students to have competencies. Key word —Google Classroom, Covid - 19, E- Leaning, Students’ Readiness,English

Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis situasi di atas maka tim pengabdi menyelelenggarakan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran bagi siswa siswa disekolah dengan pemanfaatan program Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel adalah program aplikasi presentasi yang memiliki kemampuan membuat animasi yang kompleks dalam waktu cepat. Bagi yang sudah mengenal program Microsoft Excel, akan merasakan kemudahan dan kekuatan program ini. Apabila di dalam Macromedia Flash dibutuhkan waktu yang relative lama untuk membuat animasi yang kompleks, Microsoft Excel memungkinkan untuk membuatnya dengan mudah tanpa kendala waktu). Hal lain yang menonjol dalam Microsoft Excel Flash adalah hasil karya dapat dieksport ke dalam format file SWF, yaitu format file yang digunakan oleh Macromedia Flash sehingga animasi yan dibuat dapat dimainkan di setiap PC yang sudah terinstalasi Flash Player. Animasi Flashmax dapat disisipkan ke dalam halaman Web, atau diimport ke dalam dokumen Microsoft Powerpoint. For those who are familiar with the Macromedia Flash program, you will feel the ease and power of this program. If in Macromedia Flash it takes a relatively long time to create complex animations, Microsoft Excel Flash makes it possible to create them easily without time constraints). Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut anak-anak untuk memiliki kemampuan literasi digital sejak dini, terutama bagi anak-anak diaspora Indonesia yang berada di luar negeri. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi digital dasar serta kemampuan bahasa Inggris anak-anak Indonesia di Malaysia melalui pelatihan berbasis praktik dan pendekatan pembelajaran interaktif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi asesmen awal, pelatihan literasi digital, pembelajaran bahasa Inggris komunikatif, serta pendampingan intensif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan anak dalam menggunakan perangkat digital secara aman serta peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model pengembangan kemampuan digital dan linguistik bagi anak-anak diaspora. Kata kunci: Literasi Digital, Diaspora Indonesia, Anak-Anak, Bahasa Inggris, Pengabdian Masyarakat. Abstract The development of digital technology requires children to have digital literacy skills from an early age, especially for Indonesian diaspora children who are abroad. This community service activity aims to improve the basic digital literacy and English language skills of Indonesian children in Malaysia through practice-based training and interactive learning approaches. Implementation methods include initial assessment, digital literacy training, communicative English learning, and intensive mentoring. The results of the activity show an increase in children's ability to use digital devices safely as well as increased confidence in communicating in English. This program is expected to become a model for developing digital and linguistic skills for children in the diaspora.
