Abstract

Artikel ini menggambarkan program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat MY_E Course di SD Fatma Kenanga Kota Bengkulu. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan inspirasi dan motivasi kepada siswa untuk meraih kesuksesan dan prestasi di masa depan melalui pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang inovatif dan menyenangkan.Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini meliputi kegiatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan interaksi langsung antara guru dan siswa. Tim pelaksana MY_E Course membuat pembelajaran bahasa Inggris lebih menarik dan interaktif bagi siswa, selain itu adanya tambahan game dan lagu yang menarik memungkinkan siswa belajar dengan cara yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan.Pembelajaran MY_E Course di SD Fatma Kenanga ini berlangsung selama kurang lebih 4 (empat) bulan yaitu dari bulan Oktober hingga Januari. Dimana selama 4 bulan berlangsung terdapat 12 kali pertemuan yang melibatkan 2 kelas yaitu kelas 5A dan kelas 5B.

Abstract

Reading is a positive activity that has a myriad of benefits to increase knowledge and insight. According to Santoso (2011) in reading there are 2 aspects that need to be considered, namely interest (a combination of desire, willingness and motivation) and reading skills, namely eye skills and mastery of reading techniques with the goal of realizing efficient reading habits. reading problems occur in Indonesia due to a lack of active interest in reading, UNECSO notes that Inodenesia's reading interest ranks 60th out of 61 countries. This shows how low the reading interest of Indonesian people is. With this problem, the author conducted research on the reading interest of journals / scientific articles of 6th semester students of the English Education Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. This study aims to determine and identify the interest of FKIP English Education students at Muhammadiyah Bengkulu University in reading scientific articles, especially journals. In this study the author used descriptive method, in collecting data the author used a questionnaire. the subject of this research is 6th semester FKIP English students, based on the results of the analysis that has been done by the author, it is found that 6th semester students of English Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu have a low interest in reading scientific articles. In addition to interest in reading articles, in this study the authors also found that students not only read journals and scientific articles from their majors, but also like to read scientific writings from other fields besides their majors.

Abstract

This research is based on the assessment of PLP 2 implementation activities at Bengkulu Muhammadiyah University which only assesses student teaching competencies. at this time the role of a teacher is not only to be a teaching staff who has good competence, but teachers must have professional teacher traits that are ethical, disciplined and responsible. This study aims to find out how do the perceptions and experiences of student teachers towards english language study programme students who carry out PLP 2. the purpose of this study is to find out how the perceptions and experiences of student teachers towards english language study programme students who carry out PLP 2 are. the purpose of this research is to find out how the perceptions and experiences of student teachers towards students who carry out PLP 2. the results of this research are input to the english education study programme to improve and improve the abilities of students who will carry out PLP 2 in the next semester. the results of this research show that the student teachers are satisfied with the performance of students who carry out PLP 2. the criteria for this performance include the ability to design and implement lessons, ethics and discipline, and responsibility for the tasks assigned during the implementation of activities.
