Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui korelasi tingkat naungan dan cekaman air pada laju pertumbuhan relatif tumbuhan Ageratum conyzoides Linn. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lahan PPPPTK Pertanian Cianjur yang berlangsung pada bulan Desember 2012 sampai Februari 2013. percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split-plot design) dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah tingkat naungan sebagai petak utama yang terdiri dari naungan 0%, 25%, 45%, dan 55%, sebagai anak petak cekaman kekeringan (% Kapasitas Lapang) terdiri dari 100%, 80%, 60%, dan 40% Kapasitas Lapang (KL). terdapat 16 Kombinasi perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan . setiap satuan perlakuan terdapat 4 tumbuhan yang seluruhny diamati. hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat naungan dan cekaman kekeringan berkorelasi positif terhadap Laju Pertumbuhan Relatif, bobot segar, bobot kering dan luas daun tumbuhan Ageratum conyzoides Linn.

Abstract

Stevia plant is one of the sweetener plants besides sugarcane, stevia plant leaves are estimated to be 300 times sweeter than sugar. But Stevia is constrained by the propagation of cuttings produced slightly in the provision of seedlings on a large scale. So, the tissue culture technique is one of the alternatives. The combination of auxedine and cytokinin has an important role in inducing callus where 2.4 D and BAP is a combination used in in-vitro plant propagation. The purpose of this study is to find the optimal 2.4D and BAP concentrations for the growth of stevia leaf calluses. The explant used from the young leaves of a healthy stevia plant comes from the field then grown on MS media with a combination of 2.4-D (0.5; 1; 1.5; and 2 mg/l) and BAP (0.5; 1; and 1.5 mg/l) to induce embryogenic callus. The observed variables include Leaf Curved Day, Callus Appear Day, Weight, Color. and its texture. Treatment of 2.4-D 2 mg / L with BAP 0.5 mg / L BAP is able to produce good callus, many, initiation is fast and efficient (optimal).

Abstract

This research was done to determine the effect of shelter and drought stress Relative Growth Rate of plant Ageratum conyzoides Linn. The experiment was conducted at Madame Agricultural land in PPPPTK Pertanian Cianjur from December 2012 until February 2013. The experiment was using Split-plot Design with two factors. First is the degree of shelter as main plot which is consist of shelter 0%, 25%, 45% and 55%, as a drought subplot (% field capacity) consists of 100%, 80%, 60%, and 40% of field capacity (KL). There are 16 combinations of treatments with 3 repeat. Each unit treatment contained four plants which fully observed. The experimental results showed the level of shelter and water stress significantly on several variables observations. Shelter and water stress levels effect on long Relative Growth Rate plants week 4, Relative Growth Rate of leaf number 8th week, fresh weight, dry weight of plant Ageratum conyzoides Linn.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Untuk mendukung program pemerintah tentang produksi tujuh komoditas Strategi Nasional yakni beras, jagung, kedelai, daging sapi, bawang merah, cabai merah, dan gula pasir. Perbanyakan tanaman tebu dalam jumlah banyak secara cepat dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode perbanyakan melalui induksi kalus. Induksi kalus memiliki presentase hasil yang lebih tinggi dan sangat dipengaruhi keberhasilannya oleh pembentukan kalus embriogenik. Zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) merupakan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi perkembangan kalus embriogenik menjadi embrio somatik. Kombinasi antara Auksin dan Sitokinin mempunyai peran penting untuk menginduksi kalus dimana 2,4 D dan BAP merupakan merupakan kombinasi yang digunakan dalam perbanyakan tanaman secara in-vitro. Tujuan dari penellitian ini adalah untuk menemukan metode in vitro yang cepat untuk tebu melalui induksi kalus embriogenik. Eksplan yang digunakan dari gulungan daun muda diisolasi dari tanaman tebu yang sehat berasal dari lapang kemudian ditumbuhkan pada media MS dengan kombinasi 2,4-D (0, 2, 4, dan 6 ppm) dan BAP (1, 2, dan 3 ppm) untuk menginduksi kalus embriogenik. Variabel yang diamati meliputi saat pelengkungan daun (hari), persentase saat pelengkungan daun, saat pembengkakan (hari), persentase saat pembengkakan, serta Tampilan fisik kalus seperti warna dan strukturnya. Luaran penelitian ini dapat berupa publikasi ilmiah pada jurnal lokal dan bahan ajar untuk pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Kultur Jaringan Tanaman. ABSTRACT To support the government's program on the production of seven National Strategy commodities, namely rice, corn, soybeans, beef, shallots, red chili, and granulated sugar. Multiplication of sugar cane in large quantities quickly can be done using the method of propagation through callus induction. Callus induction has a higher yield percentage and is strongly influenced by its success by embryogenic callus formation. Growth regulating substances (ZPT) are the factors that most influence the development of embryogenic callus into somatic embryos. The purpose of this research is to find a fast-in vitro method for sugarcane through the induction of embryogenic callus. Explants used from young leaf rolls isolated from healthy sugarcane plants from the field were then grown on MS media with a combination of 2,4-D (0, 2, 4, and 6 ppm) and BAP (1, 2, and 3 ppm) to induce embryogenic callus. Variables observed included leaf curvature (days), percentage of leaf curvature, swelling (days), percentage of swelling, and physical appearance of callus such as color and structure. The output of this study can be in the form of scientific publications in local journals and teaching materials for learning in Plant Tissue Culture courses.

Abstract

Baby corn sweet corn is a type of vegetable that has high potential to be developed. Baby corn sweet corn  is popular and desirable and can grow and produce optimally on all types of soil. Sweet baby corn productivity must be continuously improved by maintaining soil fertility and using superior varieties. Maintaining soil fertility by fertilizing is a priority activity in sweet baby corn cultivation.  The recommended fertilizer to be added in sweet baby corn cultivation is NPK Phonska fertilizer. This study was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of various doses of NPK Phonska fertilizer on the yield of sweet corn baby corn (Zea mays Saccharata Sturt) on Entisol soil.  The research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Nahdlatul Wathan University Mataram in Perampuan Village which was carried out within a period of 3 months. The design used in this study is a completely randomized design (CRD) using one treatment, namely the treatment of NPK phonska fertilizer dose (P) with five treatment levels, namely: P0, P1, P2, P3 and P4. Each treatment was multiplied 3 times and made serial plants so that each experimental unit would consist of 2 plant samples. The number of polybag pots in this study was 30 polybag pots. The results illustrated that the highest sweet baby corn yield parameters were found at the treatment level with a dose of 200 kg/ha NPK phonska fertilizer. The application of NPK phonska fertilizer 200 kg/ha can increase the cob length and cob diameter of sweet baby corn both with and without cob.

Abstract

Penghijauan lingkungan masih menjadi persoalan banyak masyarakat Indonesia, kurangnya kesadaran dimana terjadi permasalahan lingkungan seperti banjir, tanah tandus, tanah longsor, dan permasalahan lingkungan lainnya. Permasalahan  di Dusun Ranjok Kec. Batukliang Utara, Kab. Lombok Tengah yang merupakan lahan kering dan  bagaimana masyarakat sadar akan manfaat penghijauan bagi lingkungan dan sumber air. Tujuan pengabdian mendorong kesadaran dan peran masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan terutama di Pondok Pesantren Hasan Zainuddin NW Ranjok. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan memberikan materi kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya  penghijauan lingkungan dilanjutkan dengan pemberian bibit dan penanaman secara serentak. Hasil kegiatan berjalan dengan baik dan lancar yang dapat dilihat dari antusiasnya masyarakat sekitar dan santri di Ponpes Hasan Zainuddin NW Ranjok yang meminta bibit untuk ditanam di lokasi mereka masing-masing.
