Abstract

In order to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing, it is critical for banks to develop an effective mechanism to detect suspicious transactions. Nowadays, one of the most widely developed methods is machine learning. This article aims to discuss the best algorithm model in machine learning to detect possibilities for Suspicious Financial Transactions in XYZ Bank. The machine learning method used is supervised machine learning, with three models compared: Decision Tree, Gradient Boosting, and Random Forest. The tool used is The Konstanz Information Miner (KNIME). According to the findings of the study, the best model for detecting the possibility of SFT in bank XYZ is random forest with an accuracy rate of 99,98%. Based on this level of accuracy, this study reveals that a machine learning approach using historical company data makes a significant contribution to XYZ bank in detecting Suspicious Financial Transactions.

Abstract

A going concern audit opinion is an opinion given by the auditor stating whether there is doubt about the entity's ability to continue as a going concern. Going concern problems are complex and continue to exist, so factors are needed that are used as benchmarks in determining a company's going concern status. This research aims to examine the influence of the audit committee, company size, audit tenure, and KAP reputation about current audit opinions. The subjects of this research are trading, service, and investment companies listed on the Indonesian stock market. The sampling method used a purposive sampling technique for 183 companies. The data in this research was collected through non-participant observation methods by downloading data from the IDX. The results of hypothesis testing show that the variables company size and KAP reputation do not affect going concern audit opinion, while the variables audit committee and audit tenure have a significant effect on going concern audit opinion.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of GRIT and Motivation to learn on student achievement in economic subjects and to assess the role of gender as a moderating variable. This study used a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were grade X students in Purworejo Regency, Cluster random sampling obtained a sample of 142 students data collection techniques using questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Version 25 application with hypothesis testing and the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test. The results showed a significant impact of GRIT and learning motivation on learning achievement (â= 0.267, t-count = 2.864, p = 0.005), (â= 0.288, t-count = 3.092, p = 0.002). Furthermore, gender as a moderating variable can moderate and strengthen the impact of GRIT and learning motivation on learning achievement. The novelty of this study was the existence of GRIT variables tested on students (especially economics students), while other studies used Grit on employees and teachers. The results of this research could contribute to shaping the behavior of students with high strength, resilience, and motivation during economics learning to maximize the resulting learning achievement.
