Abstract

Pirasat (hereinafter referred to as PR) is a Javanese manuscript derived from Taj As Salatin (hereinafter referred to as TAS). A sentence was discovered at the beginning of the PR text that informs the manuscript was produced by scriber after hearing TAS text. PR research aims to reveal the path of PR derivation from TAS as an attempt to add on knowledge related to the history of the text. The method used in PR research is comparative literature to review the receptions that emerge from the manuscript that has been done philologically. Derivation of PR is showing that the text was translated directly from TAS, not through an adapted TAS text that was known in Javanese literature, called Serat Tajussalatin (hereinafter referred to as ST). PR has different characteristics that even though it is a translated text, it has been found that PR has different variations of eye physiognomy section, this made PR that had the most variative eye section compared to TAS and ST. PR is a Javanese manuscript from TAS which only contains the 19th chapter of the text, although PR is translated from TAS, PR shows the creativity of the author which is shown by how different section that has been obtained from TAS was added. This is evidence of the response that has been given by the scriber who has heard the text.

The threat of losing successors to speakers of regional languages is a common problem that needs to be reviewed together. The way that can be done to attract the interest of the younger generation to learn local languages is to use social media. One of the existing social media butts makers is Hi.kaaal which produces localized butts trending on Tiktok. This research was conducted to reveal the form of transmission that occurs in hi.kaaal's stump localization. The method used in this study is a descriptive-qualitative method with a recipe approach by Jauss. Butts adapted from foreign trends on Hi.kaaal's butts total of 12 videos, five videos in Javanese script, 3 Javanese in Latin script, and 3 Indonesian videos in Jawi script. The form of acceptance found shows two different language styles; in Javanese, the literal meaning is used with Javanese Krama, and some Old Javanese vocabulary is found. Meanwhile, Indonesian uses a more foreign language or is rarely used in everyday life. The form of localization that was carried out succeeded in attracting the interest of many parties who wanted to study regional languages and scripts. Therefore, efforts to preserve culture must indeed keep up with the times, and this is intended so that regional languages and scripts do not seem old-fashioned and cannot adapt to changing times. AbstrakAncaman hilangnya penerus penutur bahasa daerah menjadi permasalahan bersama yang perlu ditinjau bersama. Abstract

This study investigates the treatment of mental disorders recorded in traditional manuscripts, specifically the Kitab Tibb and Usada from Malay and Balinese traditions. The research reveals that the Kitab Tibb details eight types of mental disorders, while the Usada categorizes ten, including eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). The comparative literature method is employed to analyze the symptoms of these disorders as documented in both texts. One of the key aspects highlighted in the study is the importance of understanding the cultural and historical context surrounding mental health treatment. The social and political changes occurring in the 15th and 16th centuries had a significant influence on how communities perceived and addressed mental health issues. By documenting the medicinal knowledge available in the Kitab Tibb and Usada, the study suggests that traditional medicine can serve as a valuable alternative for individuals who may not find modern approaches suitable. This research opens up opportunities for the integration of traditional and contemporary medical practices, aiming to create more comprehensive solutions for treating mental disorders. Ultimately, it seeks to enrich the mental health field by promoting alternative approaches and encouraging further research into the effectiveness of traditional remedies.
