Abstract

Based on observations and interviews the results of learning activities are disrupted by the school ,teacher and student agenda. Obstacles in the learning process impact the learning objectives and lack of the classical submission of the classifications gained by the students. This research aims to know and describe the effectiveness of the application of blended learning models for learning outcomes and conservation attitudes of MAN 1 Surakarta students. This research uses quasi experiment. The design that has been used is Matching Pretest – Posttest Comparison Grub Design, two research samples consisting of male experiment classes and female experiments were given pretest, treatment and posttest. The population in the study was class XI of MAN 1 Surakarta student. The samples used are class XI MIA 4 and XI MIA 5. Analysis of the Posttest value using the N-gain test. The N-Gain test results show the difference in the learning outcomes of both experimental classes. Increased outcomes of female class higher (64%) than the male`s class (51%). Nevertheless based on the criteria N-gain both classes are included in the medium criteria. The number of students per N-gain criterion is also different, in the male experiment Class 7 students enter the high, 23 students are medium category and 6 students enter the low category while in the female class 16 students enter high category, 19 medium category and no entry category low. The entire sample submission was 76%, in the men's class of 69.5% and in the women's class 82.8% the results of the students ' attitude recapitulation showed that students in the class were higher than the son's grade, but both were still included in the excellent category. Teachers and students give good responses to the learning model applied. The conclusion of the study is the implementation of learning blended models to improve the learning outcomes and attitudes of the students ' responsibilities.

Abstract

Panji masks are one of the mask arts that originated in Indonesia and come in a variety of styles. One of the existing Panji mask styles is the Yogyakarta style, made of Pule wood and used in dance or theater performances. While in Japan, masks used in dance or theater performances, known as Noh masks, are made of cypress wood. Panji masks and Noh masks are long-standing cultural heritage arts. This study aims to identify and analyze the similarities and differences between the elements of art and the principles of art preserved in the Panji and Noh masks. A comparative qualitative method was used for the study. Library research, observation, interviews, documentation, and focused group discussions (FGD) were used to collect the data. Data processing and preparation, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing were all completed in stages. The results revealed similarities and differences between the Panji and Noh masks. Several principles are shared by Panji and Noh masks, including point elements, line shape, the principle of unity, balance, rhythm, proportion, and the principle of harmony. The line, field/shape element, color element, texture element, and emphasis principle are all different. These similarities and differences are due to a variety of factors, including the two countries’ geographical proximity (both on the Asian continent), as well as their history, customs, and culture.

Abstract

Many of today's generation are unfamiliar with Purwa shadow puppets, both in terms of figures and symbolic meanings. Despite the fact that there are many noble values that can be used as a source of character education for the younger generation as future leaders of the nation. The objective of this study is to explain the implied and explicit symbolism of the art of form in the shadow puppet figures of Purwa Buta Cakil and Harjuna in in order to better comprehend Javanese culture. This study was designed using a phenomenological qualitative approach. In-depth interview techniques, content analysis, and a literature review were used to collect the data. The validity of the data was determined by using the source triangulation technique and interviewing informants. Data analysis was carried out using the flow model of analysis technique, which included cyclical stages such as data collection, reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results reveal that Buta Cakil and Harjuna are symbols of two contradictory realities that exist in the Javanese cultural value system, mirrors of complementary pairs. The paradox of good-bad, smooth-violence, victory-loss, black-and-white, brightness-darkness, etc. The fine art of the two figures is part of Javanese culture in that it instills life values taught to the community so that their lives are safe and prosperous both outwardly and inwardly.

Abstract

Differences in the management of laboratory teaching assistants in various types of laboratories are caused by differences in the policies of each laboratory head. For this reason, a study was conducted on the problems and standardization of laboratory assistants in tertiary institutions, especially science education study programs at the undergraduate level. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze input, process and output in Higher Education. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews with teaching assistants at several universities such as Malang State University, Jember State University and Sebelas Maret University. The interview contains questions related to the recruitment process, activities in the laboratory during the practicum and after the practicum and rewards obtained after becoming a laboratory assistant lecturer. The results obtained were that laboratory management regarding laboratory assistants in the field encountered several problems such as there was no standardization regarding the requirements/qualifications for recruiting laboratory assistants, no honorarium, and students did not receive certification after completing assignments. In addition, there is no standardization of laboratory assistant management on a national scale.
