Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kualitas modul berbasis STEM dalam matematika di SMP ditinjau dari tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya. Model Borg and Gall dimodifikasi oleh Sugiyono. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian terdiri dari (1) Potensi dan permasalahan, (2) Pengumpulan data, (3) Desain produk, (4) Validasi desain, (5) Revisi Desain Produk, (6) Pengujian produk, dan (7) Revisi produk. Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar validasi, mengamati kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, angket respon guru dan siswa serta tes prestasi belajar. Validitas diperoleh 3,81 (valid). Kepraktisan dengan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran adalah 3,82 (sangat baik) dan respon guru sangat positif dengan persentase rata-rata 91,6% dari kedua hasil analisis, sehingga modul memenuhi kriteria praktik. Sedangkan kriteria efektivitas diperoleh dari hasil analisis hasil observasi aktivitas siswa yaitu 89% dalam kategori sangat baik, respon siswa terhadap modul memberikan respon sangat positif dengan persentase 85%, dan tes prestasi belajar menunjukkan persentase 88% sehingga kriteria efektivitas terpenuhi.

Abstract

The Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is one of the approaches that seeks to link mathematical concepts with situations that are relevant and meaningful to students, thus helping them understand these concepts better. Therefore, this approach is important to be integrated into learning, one of which is through the Learner Worksheet. This research aims to develop Learner Worksheets using the Realistic Mathematics Education approach that is valid, practical, and effective. This research is development research with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) development model. The research trial design involved the subject of VII grade students of SMPN 23 Sinjai, Sinjai Regency. Data collection instruments include instrument validation sheets, learner worksheet implementation sheets, learner response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, learner activity observation sheets, learning management observation sheets, and learning outcomes tests. The results showed that the Learner Worksheets using the Realistic Mathematics Education approach that had been developed met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research contributes to providing Realistic Mathematics Education-based Student Worksheets that are valid, practical, and effective so that they can improve the quality of mathematics learning in the classroom.

Abstract

This community service aims to overcome students' understanding difficulties in the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) by utilising power point learning media and learning videos at MTsN Gowa. The method used is learning assistance with a focus on the preparation and implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBM), using innovative learning media such as power point media and learning videos. The results of this mentoring showed that the use of innovative learning media, such as power points and learning videos, succeeded in creating an interesting learning environment and supporting student learning success. Despite facing the obstacles of curriculum differences and student comprehension difficulties, the innovative measures succeeded in improving student understanding from block to block, with satisfactory results in the last block. Evaluation was conducted through learning outcome tests. The results of this service show that mentoring using power point learning media and learning videos successfully overcomes the obstacles that arise, and significantly improves student learning outcomes. This mentoring contributes to practical understanding and teaching strategies that can be applied in modern educational contexts.
