Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbandingan penerapan metode inquiry terbimbing dan inquiry bebas termodifikasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 21 Kota Makassar . Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi experimental dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Kota Makassar tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik sampling acak sederhana (purposive sampling). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII K dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen1 dan kelas VIII I dengan jumlah 27 orang dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan metode inquiry terbimbing adalah berada pada kategori sangat tinggi sedangkan metode inquiry bebas termodifikasi berada pada kategori tinggi serta nilai rata-rata . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode inquiry terbimbing lebih efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dibandingkan metode inquiry bebas termodifikasi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 21 Kota Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi aritmatika sosial yang valid, praktis, dan efektif SMP Kelas VII. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development dengan model pengembangan Plomp. Produk yang dikembangkan yaitu modul berbasis model PBL materi aritmatika sosial. Subjek uji coba adalah 45 siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Pattallassang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli, angket respons siswa dan guru, lembar observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan tes hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba terbatas, diperoleh bahwa (1) Hasil validasi bahan ajar adalah 4,5 pada kategori sangat valid, (2) Praktis karena persentase rata-rata respons siswa adalah 82,6% dengan kategori positif dan persentase rata-rata respons guru adalah 95% dengan kategori sangat positif. (3) Efektif karena rata-rata kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran adalah 4,60 dengan kategori sangat baik, persentase rata-rata aktivitas siswa adalah 70,9% dengan kategori baik, dan persentase ketuntasan belajar mencapai ketuntasan klasikal yaitu 88,9%, tuntas secara klasikal. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan uji coba terbatas, modul berbasis PBL pada materi aritmatika sosial memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.

Abstract

The study discusses the comparative of the effectiveness of synectic conventional learning model on the creative thinking abilities of students with the aim to determine (1) the ability of creative thinking of students who were taught using conventional learning models (lectures) in VII grade SMP Negeri 3 Pattallassang, ( 2) the ability of creative thinking of students taught using Synectic learning model in VII grade SMP Negeri 3 Pattallassang, (3) the comparative of the effectiveness of the Synectic learning model effective towards creative thinking abilities in VII grade SMP Negeri 3 Pattallassang.The study is a Quasi-Experimental Research Design with non-equivalent control group design. The study population is all students of VII grade SMP Negeri 3 Pattallassang as much as  98 students consisting of VII1 class to VII3 class. The sample in this study is VII1 class as a control class while VII3 class as an experiment class. Instruments used in this research is students creative thinking test, such as pretest and posttest and observation sheet. Data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis.Based on the analysis using descriptive statistics in the experimental class, pretest score mean is 5.9 and the posttest score mean is 11.63 whereas the control class, the score mean is 6.1 for pretest and 9.16 for posttest. Based on effectiveness  test result to determine effectiveness of the learning model Synecti. Thus, the value of R <1, namely 0.89 <1, which means relatively θ1 more efficient than θ2. It means that there is a difference posttest score variance of experimental class and posttest score variance of control class. Hence, Synectic learning model is effectively used towards creative thinking abilities of students of VII grade SMP Negeri 3 Pattallassang Gowa.

Abstract

This community service aims to overcome students' understanding difficulties in the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) by utilising power point learning media and learning videos at MTsN Gowa. The method used is learning assistance with a focus on the preparation and implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBM), using innovative learning media such as power point media and learning videos. The results of this mentoring showed that the use of innovative learning media, such as power points and learning videos, succeeded in creating an interesting learning environment and supporting student learning success. Despite facing the obstacles of curriculum differences and student comprehension difficulties, the innovative measures succeeded in improving student understanding from block to block, with satisfactory results in the last block. Evaluation was conducted through learning outcome tests. The results of this service show that mentoring using power point learning media and learning videos successfully overcomes the obstacles that arise, and significantly improves student learning outcomes. This mentoring contributes to practical understanding and teaching strategies that can be applied in modern educational contexts.

Abstract

This study was motivated by Indonesia's low ranking in PISA results from 2000 to 2022. This shows that many students still experience errors in solving PISA questions. This study aims to describe the percentage of students' errors, the types of students' errors and the factors that cause students' errors in class VIII SMPN 40 Makassar in solving PISA questions on the content of change and relationship. This research method uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests, structured interviews, and documentation. The sample in this study were students of grade VIII of SMPN 40 Makassar, totaling 189 students. The results showed that the percentage of errors made by students in solving PISA questions on the content of change and relationship were: (1) errors in understanding the problem of 69.68% in the “very high” category, (2) planning errors of 65.93% in the “very high” category, (3) completion errors of 71.27% in the “very high” category, and (4) rechecking errors of 85.93% in the “very high” category. The factors of students experiencing errors in understanding the problem are because they interpret it incorrectly, are confused about what to write and are not accustomed to writing known and questionable things in answering problems. The planning error factor is due to not understanding the concept so that it is wrong in choosing the formula and not being able to know the steps in solving the problem. The error factor in solving is due to not mastering mathematical operations so that it is wrong in process skills when doing calculations. The error factor in checking back is due to previous mistakes and the absence of re-evaluation.
