Abstract

Media pembelajaran digital berupa virtual lab, scholoogy, augmented reality, e-portofolio, animasi ,pageflip, edmodo, edumedia, appypie, mikroskop digital, power point dan flash. Learning science helps students connect phenomena that occur in life with material obtained at school. Abstract concepts in science cause students to not be able to understand the material properly. For this reason, science learning media is needed that can help convey messages from learning resources to students. Learning media used in learning include real and digital media. The research design is in the form of a review of journals published in sinta 6 to sinta 1 in the 2016-2021 period. The results obtained are that there are 55 journals regarding the development of learning media. Print learning media in the form of picture cards, scrapbooks and comics. Digital learning media in the form of virtual labs, schoology, augmented reality, e-portfolio, animation, pageflip, edmodo, edumedia, appypie, digital microscope, power point and flash. Based on the SWOT analysis, there are weaknesses in the science learning media that have been developed such as being less supportive when used independently by students without being accompanied by a teacher, requiring other technologies to access the media and being developed on material whose phenomena are actually easily observed by students in everyday life.

Abstract

The Project-Based Learning-Science Technology, Engineering Mathematics (PjBL-STEM) model is needed to empower students' critical thinking abilities and independence. PjBL-STEM implementation has been carried out in various fields of study and at various levels. A comprehensive study is needed to map the potential opportunities and limitations of implementing PjBL-STEM, including its influence on students' thinking skills. Therefore, this research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review regarding implementing PjBL-STEM to improve students' critical thinking skills. In particular, this study is correlated with the potential implementation of PjBL-STEM in Ecology and biodiversity material. The literature review method was used in this research. The scientific articles selected in this study are those indexed on Google Scholar and published in 2010-2022. The keywords “PjBL-STEM and Critical Thinking” were used as the initial basis for selecting articles. After applying the criteria and article limitations, 90 articles were obtained for analysis. The results of this study show that the implementation of PjBL-STEM in empowering critical thinking is carried out at the elementary school to tertiary level. Apart from that, implementing PjBL-STEM is also done in general research, such as developing teacher competencies. The strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and obstacles that may occur when applying the PjBL-STEM model to ecology and biodiversity material in empowering students' critical thinking are discussed in this article

Abstract

Facing and following increasingly sophisticated technological developments in science learning studies, both pupils and students must increase scientific literacy to improve critical thinking. Critical thinking skills will encourage students to understand problems and create alternative problem solutions with problem solving stages, namely clarification, assessment, inference and strategy. This research aims to explore the Study of Science Learning Based on Scientific Literacy in Improving Critical Thinking. The research was conducted using a scoping review approach. A scoping review is typically used to map the existing literature on a defined topic in terms of the volume, nature, and characteristics of key studies. The results of the scoping review analysis found several problems such as the low level of science learning regarding scientific literature so that pupils and students are unable to identify problematic issues and scientific evidence due to a lack of practicing skills in conducting scientific literature. The impact that occurs is that the ability to think critically decreases. Therefore, various efforts are being made, one of which is that pupils and students must have concepts to connect science, science learning websites, focus on specific knowledge, be able to design relevant indicators, have the ability to translate into critical, systematic and anticipatory actions, students' critical thinking skills , school location, and problem-based learning model

Abstract

The low scientific literacy of students needs to be improved through the teaching materials used in learning. Teaching materials can be combined with various learning models including Ethno-STEM. The research aims to develop and test the feasibility of a module on vibrations and waves material in empowering science literacy ability of class VII students. The type of research carried out is development research using the 4D method including the define, design and develop stages. In this article, the research stage is written only up to the development stage. In the define stage, an analysis of gaps occurring in the field is carried out to define what is needed in the development process. In the design stage, the researcher prepares a product design according to the needs that have been summarized in the define stage. In the development stage, researchers began to develop modules according to needs and then carried out feasibility tests. Validation was carried out on aspects of material, media, language and learning. The overall module validation results obtained were 0.91 with valid criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the vibrations and waves module is effective to improve students' science literacy ability

Abstract

Biodiversity in Indonesia is a science material that is closely related to environmental conditions, daily life events, and natural characteristics in Indonesia. Ethno-STEAM content is a local wisdom-based learning approach that connects theory and skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Mastery of material for junior high school students is expected to be able to apply their knowledge to the environment through STEAM, be able to solve problems, become logical thinkers, and be able to link culture and local wisdom with learning. This study aims to describe the validity of teaching modules in science learning to empower students' creative thinking skills at the junior high school level. The development of PjBL-based science teaching modules with Ethno-STEAM content uses the 4D model development research approach. The validity in this study includes the validity of the material with an acquisition of 0.98, media experts of 0.95, learning experts of 0.90 and language of 0.95, the four validations have been validated by 7 expert and practical validators and are included in the very valid category. The validity of the Ethno-STEAM-loaded test instrument using a written test and analyzed using Aiken's validity which has been adjusted to the creative thinking indicators obtained an average validity test of 0.94. It is concluded that the science teaching module is suitable for use as a PjBL-based learning media and ethno-STEAM content to empower students' creative thinking skills
