Abstract

Media as a medium of construing discourse, for example a dominant figure religion. In Islam the ideal muslim shown by the media that has a role as a medium for forming new ideologies in religious aspects. This research aims to explore the ideal Muslim discourse on the Instagram social media account @ukhtiakhiantiselfie. This research uses a qualitative method with content analysis in the form of Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis and focuses on the level of text presented in the content on the Instagram social media account @ukhtiakhiantiselfie. To find out the extent of the truth of the research, the author uses data validity techniques in the form of triangulation of data sources. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques consist of data selection, interpretation and interpretation of the text, data presentation and discussion, to draw conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the ideology constructed in the Instagram account @ukhtiakhiantiselfie is in the form of a ban on uploading photos to social media for men (muslimin) and women (muslimah). In addition, there is an ideal Muslim standard for Muslims, namely individuals who do not upload photos of themselves, achievements, possessions, and others to the public via social media. Meanwhile, the discourse that is presented refers to the ideal Muslim character according to Hamka in the form of istiqomah, namely showing firm actions towards the establishment and carrying out the commands of Allah SWT and avoiding His prohibitions. The results of this research show that the ideology constructed in the Instagram account @ukhtiakhiantiselfie is a prohibition on uploading photos to social media for men (Muslims) and women (Muslimah). Abstract

Behavior carried out by the public who adheres to heteronormative ideas towards gender minorities, such as transwomen, often results in acts of persecution and hegemony in the real world. This action is the result of self-expression carried out by transwomen. With the existence of social media, self-representation can be done by transwomen without thinking about the persecution they will get. But on the other hand, the hegemony obtained by transwomen on social media still occurs. Based on this, the recent study looks at the self-representation carried out by transwomen on social media, especially their personal Instagram, as a form of digital activism. This article focuses on the narratives conveyed by three transwomen, namely, Alegra Wolter, Ian Hugen, and Anggun Pradesha. These three subjects were chosen because they have unique backgrounds and used them to produce narratives about transwomen. Using qualitative content analysis techniques, this research analyzes their self-representation on Instagram as a form of digital activism, specifically as a 'counter-discourse'-a form of resistance that challenges the dominant discourse. This article reveals that both Alegra Wolter, Ian Hugen, and Anggun Pradesha have similarities and differences in Instagram representation. Abstract

The fast-moving conditions and development of the times and the easy access to mass media at every level requires that parents provide their children with an education. The education aimed at is sex education for children of an early age. The increasing problem of sexual deviancy behavior in Indonesia is that one is the result of a lack of understanding about sexual education. Sex education should be applied early to have good morals and not be prone to promiscuity. Premature age is a golden phase for children, treatment of them can affect their life into adulthood. The research aims to learn the importance of sexual education in an early-age child's morals based on Islamic religious views. A research approach uses a qualitative approach for case study methods. Studies reveal sexual education should be given concurrently with a religious basis. Child sexual education needs to be implemented by family members as protection for their children.

Abstract

The development of digitalization makes activities in cyberspace increasingly massive and have a big impact on society. Today's society does not only depend on face-to-face efforts, but orientation and actualization activities can be carried out online. The Save Janda community presents social media Instagram @save_janda as a space to build positive narratives that are often stigmatized and negatively labeled by society. This research answers the question of how digital activism in the #SaveJanda Movement on the Instagram account @save_janda can overcome this. social stigma against widows in Indonesia? This research uses a critical paradigm with a qualitative approach and qualitative content analysis techniques. The content of the @save_janda Instagram account studied is content throughout 2023 from January to September with a total of 14 contents. This research focuses on content uploaded using the hashtag #SaveJanda via the Instagram account @save_janda. The @savejanda account is interesting to research because it shows the struggle of widowed women against the bonds of patriarchal culture and shows their empowerment. What emerges is how the hashtag #SaveJanda which is part of Instagram is used by the public to fight negative narratives about widows. Various types of content are presented to provide information, create empathy and sympathy, as well as carry out positive constructions in the form of (a) productivity and concern for others, (b) the phenomenon of patriarchal logic in society, to (c) self-empowerment as a woman.

Abstract

Hand body lotion is a cosmetic used to moisturize skin in order to reduce dehydration. The coffee extract contains bioactive compounds that can provide high antioxidant activation. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of concentration on coffee extract and the addition of olive oil on organoleptic, hedonic, pH, and dispersive properties and to determine the value of the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) in the lotion. The research method involved extracting coffee grounds, heating the oil and water phases to 65°C, and mixing the two phases till it becomes an emulsion. Then add the oil and water to the mixture. The lotion that’s already in the container is ready for testing. This research used 8 formulas with coffee extract concentrations of 2% and 4%, and variations of olive oil from 0, 1, 2, and 3%. Organoleptic and hedonic tests were tried out on 25 respondents for 2 weeks. The pH test was carried out using a universal indicator. The spreadability test was carried out using a petri dish and the SPF test using a UV-visible spectrophotometer. The results showed that 25 respondents preferred formula 4 over the rest, which was white in color, thick in texture, soft scent and the aftertaste was moisturizing. All formulas have good spreading ability and all in the pH range of 5 – 8. The SPF test results were obtained for each formulation in the range of 6.78 – 12.95 and the highest SPF value was owned by F8 of 12.95.

Abstract

The patriarchal culture that constructed by society brought women being in spaces full of restraints. There is an act of deconstruction of patriarchal culture which is carried out through film as a mass communication medium. One of the films that shows the empowerment of women in fighting the patriarchal environment is Yuni film. Yuni film shows the condition of the people who are very close to patriarchal culture. Until these conditions place women in marginalized and disadvantageous positions. Some of the narrations and visualizations in Yuni film show that there is women who are able to develop and have principles in the midst of conditions full of patriarchy. The purpose of this study is to explore the representation of empowered women presented through Yuni film. The research method used is content analysis with Teun A. van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out by observing the scenes and narration in Yuni film. The discourse that is built about empowered women is shown by characters, characterizations, dialogues, properties and so on which is the focus of this research process. The things that are presented related to identity as an empowered woman become a potential that is focused on in Yuni film.

Abstract

Industri hiburan di Korea Selatan memiliki sistem promosi yang sangat rapi dan persaingan yang ketat mendorong para penggemar untuk mempromosikan grup idolanya agar lebih dikenal masyarakat luas. Kemajuan media dan teknologi menjadi faktor utama bagi penggemar untuk berpartisipasi dalam berbagi informasi dan terlibat dengan komunitas penggemar online. Khususnya melalui media sosial, penggemar dapat membentuk komunitas fandom untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu dan sistematis, misalnya dalam mass streaming saat comeback grup idola. Salah satu komunitas fandom yang secara khusus terlibat dalam mass streaming adalah Connect Team di akun X. Connect Team mengadakan streaming massal bersama Engene melalui platform musik Korea Selatan untuk menyukseskan comeback grup idola Enhypen. Strategi yang dilakukan Connect Team melalui akun x mereka antara lain dengan menggalang dana, menjaring volunteer, dan berkolaborasi dengan akun fanbase dan big accounts. Selain menyelenggarakan mass streaming, Connect Team juga bekerja sama untuk merayakan acara lain seperti anniversary Enhypen.

Abstract

Demokrasi bukan hanya sekedar bentuk pemerintahan dalam sebuah negara melainkan juga sebuah pandangan hidup suatu bangsa. Selain itu, dalam konsepsi demokrasi terdapat keberada hak asasi manusia. Oleh karena itu, dalam suatu negara demokrasi dan hak asasi manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan dan sudah menjadi satu kesatuan. Namun dalam prakteknya, demokrasi belum dapat diwujudkan dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Maka dari itu, kita memerlukan upaya untuk dapat mewujudkan kehidupan yang demokratis dan dapat mewujudkan hak asasi manusia. Pendidikan kewarganegaraan dirasa dapat menjadi salah satu upaya yang sangat menjanjikan dan efektif. Beberapa ruang lingkup materi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan model pembelajarannya yaitu; pemahaman nilai kesatuan dan persatuan pada kajian materi integrasi nasional, pembelajaran demokrasi pada kajian materi konstitusi negara, pembelajaran kewajiban dan hak warga negara, pembelajaran resolusi konflik pada kajian materi praksis demokrasi dan praktik pemecahan masalah melalui pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah segala pengaruh yang diupayakan sekolah terhadap anak dan remaja yang diserahkan kepadanya agar mempunyai kemampuan yang sempurna dan kesadaran penuh terhadap hubungan-hubungan dan tugas-tugas sosial mereka Dalam menumbuhkan sikap nasionalisme atau cinta tanah air pada peserta didik, sebagai guru atau calon guru harus selalu menginformasikan halhal mengenai nasionalisme kepada mereka terutama melalui lagu nasional dan menjelaskan arti pentingnya hari-hari besar nasional. Ketika seseorang terlalu mengapresiasi kebudayaan lain melebihi apresiasinya terhadap kebudayaannya sendiri, maka kebudayaannya akan terkikis. Seperti sekarang ini, siswa SD lebih sering menyukai lagu-lagu modern seperti lagu pop, dangdut, dan kpop dibandingkan lagu daerah dan lagu nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi literatur.
