Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in writing and the difficulty of students in writing, especially in writing debate text. One of the factors that cause this is that students find it difficult to determine the first word, besides that students are also unable to express their ideas. As well as the lack of use of innovative and creative learning models by educators. One of the learning models that can be used is, problem-based learning model can be used as an alternative to be used in learning to write debate text. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of students in writing debate text with the application of the Problem Based Learning model. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The results of this study will discuss the data that the authors have collected from the subjects and objects of research, the results of data processing, and data processing analysis. The author has compiled the results of this study after conducting research on class X students. there are X-4 classes as experimental classes and X-5 classes as control classes. The average results of the experimental class prates were 55.96 which then increased in the post-test average results to 76.92 with a percentage increase of 37.4%. While the average result of the control class prates was 53.27 which increased in the post-test average of 69.61 with a percentage increase of only 29%. Judging from the average value data that the author has found, it can be concluded that experimental class students are better able to write debate texts with the application of problem-based learning models. In addition, through the use of problem-based learning models can also improve students' critical thinking skills with a percentage difference of 10.5%.

Abstract

This research aims to find stylistic aspects and moral-oriented diction contained in the novel Saraswati Si Gadis Dalam Sunyi by A. A Navis, by analyzing and utilizing the results of the analysis as an alternative to the preparation of teaching materials for class XII SMA students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. Descriptive qualitative research is research that puts forward interpretations in descriptive form. According to Sugiono (2011, pp. 8-9) in qualitative research the researcher acts as a key instrument and data collection techniques in this research are triangulated, the data analysis is inductive, and the research results emphasize the interpretation of generalizations. The data sources in this analysis are the novel Saraswati Si Gadis Dalam Sunyi by A. A Navis and several research support books. The results of the analysis of the novel related to stylistic aspects are as follows, 41 data on grammatical stylistic aspects of declarative sentence types, 14 data on figurative language of metaphor, 4 data on simile, 7 data on personification and 1 data on symbolism. In moral aspects, there are 3 data of moral aspects in the life of man and God, 41 data of moral aspects in life between man and man, and 20 data of moral aspects in life between man and his conscience. In diction, there are 14 data of connotative moral-oriented diction and 53 data of denotative moral-oriented diction. Then, the results of the analysis can be used as an alternative reference for teaching materials in learning Indonesian Language class XII in SMA.

Abstract

Literature is a work that not only provides entertainment, but also teaches the values of life. In addition to being full of beauty that can be enjoyed, a literary work must contain wisdom that can be interpreted. Literature can be a learning space for those who enjoy it. that way, literature is also related to education. In practice at school, literature learning is still full of obstacles. The majority of literature learning in schools is still theoretical, focusing only on the text, not the value of its content. One of the literary works that can be enjoyed is drama. In drama stories there are lessons about the reality of life that can be interpreted by students in schools. Especially the values that can stimulate the sensitivity of students about morals and social life. This research was conducted to analyze the Rape Trauma Syndrome of the main character of the play "Death and the Maiden" by Ariel Dorfman, as a representation of victims of sexual violence. The existence of this research aims to analyze what is the context of trauma symptoms that target the psyche of victims of sexual violence, how the mental form of the victim, and how the victim's personality structure is viewed from a psychoanalytic perspective. In this research, the author uses descriptive qualitative method, with literary psychology as the approach. From the results of the research, 9 contexts of Rape Trauma Syndrome symptoms were found in the drama script which were divided into acute and reorganization symptoms. In addition, there are 9 trauma symptoms shown by the main character, which are divided into Hyperarousal, Intrusive, and Numbing symptoms. Regarding the personality structure, 22 data were found, divided into 10 Id, 7 Ego, and 5 Super Ego. The results of the analysis will be used as an alternative reference for drama teaching materials for class XI high school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze a film using Tzvetan Todorov's theory which is then used for teaching narrative texts in junior high schools. Film is one of the creations of humans that contains entertainment, education, about messages, about life and films can be a powerful tool to educate and indoctrinate the audience. This study examines a narrative element analysis film, especially the film Sejuta Sayang Untuknya. This film depicts a father who lives alone with his daughter. This study aims to analyze the narrative elements contained in the film. Narrative In this film contains a message that a father who fights for his daughter so that all her wishes come true. The method used is a qualitative methodology using Tzvetan Todorov's narrative analysis. The technique of collecting data from this study is in the form of observation and documentation. The results of this study show the initial groove, middle groove and final plot. The conclusion of this study is that the film Sejuta Sayang Untuknya is a film with a family theme full of education, depicting the very important role of the father in the family.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan solusi bagi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya kesulitan guru dalam memilih atau menentukan bahan ajar yang tepat bagi peserta didik. Selain itu pembelajaran sastra menjadi salah satu permasalahan dalam pembelajaran. Kurangnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra menjadi faktor utama yang harus diperhatikan oleh guru. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi solusi mengenai pemilihan bahan ajar yang bervariasi serta sesuai dengan pembelajaran sastra di SMA yaitu menganalisis sebuah novel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu satu buah novel Hayya karya Helvy Tiana Rosa dan Benny Arnas. Data penelitian yang didapatkan berupa hasil analisis pragmatik terhadap karakterisasi tokoh melalui gaya bahasa tindak tutur tokoh sebagai berikut. Pertama, metode karakterisasi tokoh melalui gaya bahasa di antaranya terdapat 4 gaya bahasa perbandingan, gaya bahasa pertentangan, gaya bahasa pertautan, gaya bahasa perulangan dan dibagi menjadi 10 macam. Kedua, terdapat metode karakterisasi melalui tindak tutur tokoh. Ketiga, bahan ajar analisis novel yang didasarkan pada analisis yang telah dilakukan, dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi analisis novel di kelas XII SMA.
