Abstract

Elementary school teacher candidates should be able to develop good teaching materials based on student’s age they teach. In fact, it is frequently found that elementary school teacher candidates write their papers only by copying from books or the internet. It is rarely found that they are able to develop and synthesize the materials they cited with their own vocabulary in their paper. The purpose of this study is to describe the benefits of using the Fry graph formula in analyzing the legibility of materials of PGSD students works which is made for elementary school teaching materials. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The results of the data analysis revealed student discourse that is not appropriate because of the lower level of legibility is 4 discourses (13.33%), which appropriate to its legibility is 8 discourses (26.67%), and those that are not appropriate because the higher level of legibility is 18 discourses (60%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini diawali dengan adanya kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerpen pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di lingkungan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Pasundan. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menulis cerpen belum mengoptimalkan kemampuan mahasiswa baik kualitas maupun kuantitas. Hal ini disebabkan salah satunya adalah oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang variatif dan masih berpusat kepada dosen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah agar mahasiswa mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran multisensori dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen, mengukur ketepatan model pembelajaran multisensori digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen, dan menumbuhkan semangat untuk menulis, sehingga secara tidak langsung terbangun jiwa enterpreneurship-nya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu, jenis nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis cerpen dan lembar observasi penilaian keaktifan mahasiswa selama kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung. Setelah diberikan perlakuan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia kelas A mampu menulis cerpen dapat diterima. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai prates dengan rata-rata 57,44 dengan nilai konversi 2,29 berada pada kategori nilai cukup (C), dan nilai rata-rata pascates 84,62 dengan nilai konversi 3,38 berada pada kategori nilai baik (B). Jadi, adanya peningkatan sebesar 27,18 atau 1,90. Artinya, ada peningkatan nilai, atau kemampuan belajar mahasiswa bertambah setelah proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Model multisensosi tepat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Kelas A FKIP Unpas. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t. Diketahui thitung 18,26 dan ttabel 2,02 pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% dengan derajat kebebasan 38. Hasil uji tersebut membuktikan bahwa model multisensori tepat digunakan dalam pemelajaran menulis cerpen pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Kelas A FKIP Unpas. Tingkat motivasi mahasiswa agar memiliki jiwa enterpreneurship dalam menulis cerpen meningkat dan berhasil. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai pada awal kegiatan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,69 dengan kategori cukup baik. Sedangkan pada akhir kegiatan setelah mendapatkan perlakuan nilai rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi sebesar 4,22 dengan kategori baik. Adanya peningkatan nilai sebesar 9,10 atau rata-rata sebesar 0,53. Dari fakta-fakta di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tindak tutur ilokusi yang terkandung dalam novel Rantau 1 Muara karya Ahmad Fuadi dengan menganalisis dan melihat kesesuaiannya dengan tuntutan bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia Kelas XII di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian deskriptif merupakan penelitian yang mendeskripsikan hasil analisis secara naratif. Sumber data dalam analisis ini adalah novel Rantau 1 Muara karya Ahmad Fuadi dan beberapa buku penunjang penelitian. Adapun hasil analisis tindak tutur ilokusi ini mengandung lima jenis tindak tutur diantaranya, 40 tuturan yang menunjukkan tindak tutur asertif berupa kalimat komunikatif “menyatakan” sebanyak 29 kalimat, “mengeluh” sebanyak 11 kalimat, 78 tuturan yang menunjukkan tindak tutur direktif dengan kalimat tuturan komunikatif “memesan” sebanyak 6 kalimat, “menasihati” sebanyak 2 kalimat, “memerintah” sebanyak 30 kalimat, “menyarankan” sebanyak 22 kalimat, “memohon” sebanyak 15 kalimat, dan “merekomendasi” sebanyak 2 kalimat, 37 tuturan yang menunjukkan ekspresif dengan tuturan kalimat komunikatif “memuji” sebanyak 7 kalimat, “permintaan maaf” sebanyak 13 kalimat, “berterima kasih” sebanyak 12 kalimat, “memberi selamat” sebanyak 4 kalimat, dan “berbelasungkawa” sebanyak 1 kalimat, 11 tuturan yang menunjukkan komisif dengan tuturan kalimat komunikatif “mengancam” sebanyak 2 kalimat, “berjanji” sebanyak 5 kalimat, dan “menawarkan” sebanyak 4 kalimat, 3 tuturan yang menunjukkan deklarasi dengan tuturan kalimat komunikati “mengucilkan” sebanyak 2 kalimat, dan “berpasrah” sebanyak 1 kalimat. Hasil analisis ini selanjutnya disesuaikan dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013 yang berisi Kompetensi Dasar (KD) dan Kompetensi Inti (KI). Selain itu, disesuaikan juga dengan kriteris bahan ajar yang dinilai berdasarkan aspek bahasa dan aspek psikologi. Kata Kunci: Analisis, tindak tutur ilokusi, novel, bahan ajar.

Abstract

Salah satu jenis dari karya sastra prosa fiksi adalah cerita pendek, berbeda dengan novel,cerita pendek sesuai dengan namanya memiliki cerita yang pendek. Dalam pembelajarancerpen, peserta didik sulit untuk menentukan kiasan dalam gaya bahasa. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mencari makna kias dalam gaya bahasa yang terkandung dalam cerpenSemangkuk Perpisahan di Meja Makan karya Miranda Seftiana dengan menganalisisnyaserta memanfaatkan hasil analisis tersebut menjadi salah satu alternatif bahan ajar pesertadidik kelas XI SMA. Dalam analisis ini, ditemukan 11 data yang memuat makna kiasdalam gaya bahasa yang meliputi 7 data simile atau perumpamaan, 2 data satire, 1 datasinekdoke, 1 data hipalase. Dalam makna kias tersebut juga memuat mengenai kriteriakeindahan yang menjadi fungsi estetis dalam suatu gaya bahasa. Setelah dilakukan analisismengenai makna kias dalam gaya bahasa, cerpen ini disesuaikan dengan tuntutanKurikulum 2013, yaitu pada Kompetensi Inti dan Kompetensi Dasar sehingga dapatdimanfaatkan sebagai penunjang pembelajaran, yaitu bahan ajar untuk peserta didik kelasXI SMA.

Abstract

Students’ ability in writing anessay, as one of language skills which can improve the creativity in language, is a serious problem that should be investigated by a deep research. Besides for showing that language as a thinking tool, writing competence can be seen as a product if we take a look from critical thinking ability measurement aspect and also as a process if we take a look at the individual development itself aspect. One of indicator for measuring the students’ critical is by the ability in delivering their argumentation style which is showed in their essay. The goal of this research is obtaining the objective discourse analysis model critical thinking map oriented in improving students’ argumentation style skills in writing anessay, hence can be used as a modelling for the growing of students’ creativity in a variety of writing skills. Based on paired-samples t test, the pre-test/post-test paired-sample is significant, because the significance (2-tailed) is less than 0.05 in the standard of 95%. This is mean, there is a real difference between the ability before and after getting the treatment. The sample’s ability after getting the treatment is better than before. As well as if be compared with control class, experiment class shows the significant superiority for all aspects of essay writing assessment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of ability of students in writing short stories. This research apply project based learning model with windows movie maker media. The formulation of the problem is "Whether the application of project based learning model with windows movie maker media can improve the ability to write short stories of students." In accordance with the formulation of the problem, the hypothesis of this research is the application of project based learning model with windows movie maker media can improve writing skills Short stories of students greater than or equal to 75. This study is based on the Kemmis and Taggart self-reflection model that lasts for 2 cycles. Based on the observer's observation, teacher activity in learning has increased at every meeting and cycle, starting from cycle I teachers get the average value of 82,5. In the second cycle get an average value of 97.5. Similarly, student activity on cycles 1 obtained an average of 75, and in the last 2 cycles the average score was 95. The results of the questionnaire generally showed that students responded positively to the short story writing model using project based learning and media windows movie maker . Implementation of Project Based Learning model with Windows Movie Maker Media can improve students' writing skill. It is shown by the average value of pretes of 42.4 increased in cycle I with an average of 78, then increased again in cycle II with an average of 85.4. Hypothesis test results in this study obtained t count equal to 6.992. Meanwhile, with the degree of freedom 19 at the level of significance 0.05 (5%) obtained t table value of 1.729. So t count> t table is 6.992> 1.729 so H0.

Abstract

This study aims to find social value in the collection of short stories Kejar Impian Kala Pandemi by analyzing it and utilizing the results of the analysis as an alternative teaching material for class XI high school students. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that religious social values, kinship, mutual cooperation, caring for others, never giving up, being loyal and patient are studied using a mimetic approach. The mimetic approach means imitation in real life in the form of literary works, namely short stories. The number of social values contained in the short story collection Kejar Impian Kala Pandemi by Oktavianti is 63. The teaching materials made by the author are in the form of LKPD. The author hopes that this LKPD can help students and students in the teaching and learning process, especially in Indonesian subjects, especially short story material.

Abstract

This study has a goal, namely to find the speech acts contained in the novel Terima Kasih Cinta by Adi Rustandi by analyzing and utilizing the results of the analysis in the novel to be used as alternative teaching materials for class XII in high school. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows locutionary speech acts, illocutionary speech acts, and perlocutionary speech acts. Illocutionary speech acts contain assertive, expressive, directive, commissive, and declarative meanings. Meanwhile, perlocutionary speech acts contain verbal, nonverbal, and verbal nonverbal perlocutionary speech acts. The number of speech acts contained in the novel Terima Kasih Cinta by Adi Rustandi, namely locutionary speech acts in the use of diction, saying is 8, reminding is 1, explaining is 1, stating is 2, telling is 1, calling is 1, and asking is 2. Illocutionary speech contains expressive meanings totaling 2, assertive amounting to7, directive totaling 4, commissive totaling 2, and declarative totaling 1. While perlocutionary speech acts containing verbal perlocutionary speech acts totaling 6, nonverbal amounting to 4, and verbal nonverbal amounting to 5. seen its relevance to the demands of the curriculum, namely on KI and KD.

Abstract

 Objective: The research objective was to identify and analyze the relationship between student ability and project-based learning (PBL) with increased learning, the relationship between critical thinking ability and project-based learning with increased learning, and the relationship between project-based learning and learning improvement. project-based learning mediates the relationship between student ability and learning improvement and mediates the relationship between critical thinking ability and learning improvement.Methodology: This research is a type of quantitative research where it examines the relationship between exogenous and endogenous variables. This quantitative study uses the SEM-SmartPLS 3.0 model and also uses a quasi-experimental design method because it observes two groups, namely the control group and the experimental group.Findings: Based on the results of hypothesis testing using Smart PLS it shows that, H1, H2, & H3, are accepted because the t table value is greater than the calculated t value or has an alpha (α) value less than 5%. Whereas H4, H5, H6, and H7 cannot be accepted (rejected) because their value is greater than 5%. The experimental class showed an increase with the previous average value of 54.31 while the average result after treatment was 78.79 so there was an increase of 24.48. The homogeneity of the data was tested with the homogeneity test of variance with the significance value of 0.693 > 0.05.Conclusion: Student Ability has a significant effect on PBL and learning improvement. critical thinking ability has a significant effect on PBL and learning improvement. PBL has no significant effect on learning improvement. PBL does not mediate the relationship between student ability and learning improvement, and the relationship between critical thinking ability and learning improvement. The ability to think critically in learning to write explanatory texts with causal patterns using the Problem-Based Learning model shows good results. This can be seen from the students' scores in the experimental class that has increased after being given treatment (controlled).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis plot dan pemplotan serta tokoh dan penokohan dalam novel Orang-orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata, serta memanfaatkan hasil analisis tersebut menjadi salah satu alternatif bahan ajar bagi peserta didik SMA kelas XII. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, yang mana data hasil analisis akan di deskripsikan secara naratif. Sumber data dalam analisis ini yaitu novel Orang-orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata serta beberapa buku ataupun bahan bacaan lainnya yang dapat menunjang penelitian. Adapun temuan dari hasil analisis novel ini menunjukan bahwa, jenis plot yang digunakan adalah plot lurus, karena tiap peristiwa-peristiwa yang diceritakan bersifat kronologis, peristiwa-peristiwa tersebut diikuti peristiwa berikutnya. Atau runtutan cerita dimulai dari awal, tengah, dan akhir cerita, yang bersifat kausalitas. Plot dan pemplotan pada novel Orang-orang Biasa terdiri dari 13 rangkaian peristiwa, sedangkan dalam struktur plot dan pemplotannya terdapat 25 data yang terdiri dari 13 tahap eksposisi, 9 tahap pertengahan (awal munculnya konflik, komplikasi, dan klimaks), serta 3 tahap penyelesaian. Plot dan pemplotan tersebut berdampak pada 17 tokoh cerita yang diantaranya 10 tokoh utama yang terdiri dari Dinah, Debut, Handai, Salud, Sobri, Honorun, Rusip, Tohirin, Nihe, dan Junilah. dan 8 tokoh pembantu diantaranya Inspektur Abdul Rojali, Sersan P. Arbi, Aini, Ibu Desi Mal, Trio Bastardin, Duo Boron, Pak Akhirudin, dan Ibu Atikah.
