Abstract

This study examines how digital skills are developed among banking employees, especially in countries that are still growing their digital systems. Although many models like the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) have been used to study how people adopt technology, the results often differ between developed and developing countries. By reviewing past research, this study identifies the key factors that influence digital skills, such as how useful or easy a technology is to use, support from others, and how well the technology fits user needs. It also shows that in developing countries, trust, digital knowledge, and access to technology are especially important. The study ends by highlighting the need to connect digital transformation with employee skill development, especially in the banking and finance sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Generation Z's interest in cooperatives and Islamic financial institutions in the digital era through a literature study approach. Generation Z, who were born and grew up amidst technological developments, have distinctive characteristics such as high dependence on technology, preference for fast and efficient services, and awareness of social and religious values. This study analyzes findings from various previous studies related to factors that influence Gen Z's interest in cooperatives and Islamic financial institutions. These factors include financial literacy, perceptions of service digitalization, religiosity, lifestyle, reference groups, and adoption of sharia-based financial technology. The results of the study indicate that sharia financial literacy is the main factor driving Gen Z's interest in Islamic banks and cooperatives. In addition, efficient and sharia-compliant digital services are a special attraction. The religiosity factor strengthens their preference for Islamic financial institutions, while lifestyle and the influence of social groups also shape their financial decisions. This study recommends that cooperatives and Islamic financial institutions develop innovative technology-based strategies to reach Gen Z. Efforts to improve financial literacy and promote sharia values through digital media are also suggested as effective approaches

Abstract

Environmental quality can stimulate a certain level of economic growth. Besides, the fiscal decentralization will enhance economic growth by improving a better condition for a local government budget. In the COVID-19 pandemic, the government should work hard to address a higher level of economic growth. Therefore, the threshold levels of environmental quality and fiscal decentralization can be assessed to maintain economic growth in the long-run. This study estimates the threshold levels of environmental quality and fiscal decentralization on economic growth for 34 provinces in Indonesia before, during and after COVID-19 pandemic. The cross-section threshold regression was employed. The findings reveal that before COVID-19 pandemic the threshold levels of fiscal decentralization and environmental quality were 15.18% and 74.97, respectively. During COVID-19 pandemic these levels were 15.32-27.33% and 74.71-74.97, respectively. Meanwhile, after COVID-19 pandemic these levels were 11.99% and 77.69, respectively. Therefore, the local policymakers should manage the local fiscal policy under prudent and sustainable patterns to enhance the local economic growth. They should also pay more attention to qualify the certain level of environmental quality to guarantee the local green growth.
