Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the storytelling method in improving the listening skills of class III students. The storytelling method was chosen because it can stimulate students' imagination and creativity, and help them understand and capture stories better. This study uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 46 grade III students from 3 elementary schools. The research was conducted in three cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The storytelling method is applied in each research cycle. Teachers use various storytelling techniques, such as the use of sound, movement, and visualization, to convey fairy tales to students. After each storytelling session, students are asked to do listening activities, such as answering questions about the story, retelling the story in their own words, or drawing story scenes. The results showed that the use of the storytelling method significantly improved the listening skills of grade III students. This improvement can be seen from significant changes in students' ability to understand stories, remember important details, and express their understanding orally and in writing. This study provides evidence that the storytelling method is effective in improving the listening skills of grade III students. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of interesting and interactive learning methods, as well as assist teachers in teaching and improve students' ability to listen and understand stories.

Abstract

In social life there is a diversity of individuals, including in the world of education. Where each student has their own learning needs. A teacher must be able to accommodate students' learning needs so that learning can be achieved and run effectively. Differentiated learning is a solution to meet these varied learning needs. This research aims to implement the application of differentiated learning in Indonesian language subjects during Field Experience Practice. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data analysis was carried out through triangulation, namely by combining the results of observations, tests and documentation to verify the data. The research was conducted in class 4A, totaling 24 students at SDN Gayamsari 02 Semarang. Teachers make initial preparations by carrying out cognitive diagnostic tests to see students' basic knowledge abilities and based on data when carrying out Field Experience Practice 1 last November 2023. Then develop appropriate learning strategies. One of the obstacles experienced by researchers is the differentiation of understanding learning. Where researchers only use the differentiation process, while content and product differentiation is not implemented. The research results show that learning can run well even though the results obtained are not significant.

Abstract

In the current era of Indonesian education, there are many challenges faced by early childhood educators in implementing the Independent Curriculum. These difficulties include the complexity of designing modules, determining competency indicators, and arranging interesting activities. Through a qualitative descriptive methodology that uses interview methods and document analysis, this research aims to gain insight from educators and administrators. These findings explain the efforts and challenges experienced by educators at the PAUD level in balancing structure and flexibility in teaching materials, establishing holistic competency indicators, and encouraging experiential learning. This research contributes to improving early childhood education practice by providing a deeper understanding of the barriers and opportunities in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Potret pendidikan sekarang yang serba canggih tetapi tidak dibarengi dengan karakter disiplin bagi peserta didik menjadi dua mata pisau yang berlawanan dengan cita-cita pendidikan yang diharapkan menjadi generasi emas bagi gen Z dimasa depan. Karakter Disiplin adalah pendidikan yang sangat penting untuk diterapkan sedini mungkin terhadap peserta didik. Pentingnya pengembangan kurikulum yang terfokus pada analisis budaya positif sekolah sebagai benteng utama dalam memperkuat karakter disiplin dilingkungan sekolah dasar. Hal ini dilakukan agar karakter tersebut dapat melekat hingga mereka dewasa serta menjadikan manusia yang baik berkualitas. Berbagai permasalahan seperti Berita tentang seorang guru yang dilaporkan karena mendisiplinkan siswa agar ikut sholat duhur adalah pukulan keras bagi dunia pendidikan.kasus tersebut adalah 1 dari banyak kasus yang dihadapi seorang pendidik untuk menertibkan siswanya. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Dalam penelitan ini peneliti mendisikripsikan atau menggambarkan tentang budaya sekolah mendukung penguatan karakter disiplin di SD 01 Sengare. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal yang berperan penting dalam membentuk dan memperkuat karakter peserta didik dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana penguatan karakter disiplin dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler di SD N 01 Sengare dapat dijadikan rujukan dan tolak ukur dalam melakukan penelitian dengan cangkupannya lebih luas tentang budaya sekolah dalam mendukung penguatan karakter disiplin disekolah dasar.
