Abstract

Abstract

This study will explain how automation, workforce training, and lean manufacturing influence production efficiency within the Indonesian automotive industry. Data were collected from 76 respondents and analyzed using SPSS version 26, applying a quantitative research approach. It was observed that all three factors enhance production efficiency significantly, in the order of workforce training, automation, and lean manufacturing. These results highlight how integrating technology, human resource development, and process optimization will provide sustainable efficiency improvements. These findings suggest some actionable steps that industry players may take in their efforts to improve competitiveness within the turbulent market environment.

Abstract

The wooden pallet industry plays a critical role in logistics and supply chain management, yet many companies lack standardized quality management practices, leading to high variability in product quality and order rejections. Although ISO 9001:2015 provides a widely recognized framework for quality management, prior studies have mostly addressed general implementation, with limited focus on industry-specific challenges. This study fills this gap by designing a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) tailored for the wooden pallet sector, integrating system entity analysis and business process modeling (BPMN 2.0) to establish standardized procedures aligned with ISO 9001:2015. A case study of a wooden pallet manufacturing company demonstrates the framework’s potential to improve process standardization, resource utilization, and organizational competitiveness. The proposed QMS serves as a practical roadmap for industry adoption, enhancing quality consistency and operational efficiency. Future research should validate the framework across multiple organizations to confirm its generalizability and effectiveness.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the impact of market competition, technological innovation, supply chain efficiency, and government subsidies on company productivity and export performance in the Indonesian manufacturing industry, with company productivity positioned as a mediating variable. A quantitative research design was employed using data collected from 175 manufacturing firms through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results reveal that market competition, technological innovation, supply chain efficiency, and government subsidies each have a positive and significant effect on company productivity and export performance. Furthermore, company productivity is proven to play a significant mediating role in all relationships between the exogenous variables and export performance. These findings indicate that export competitiveness is fundamentally shaped by internal operational efficiency, supported by innovation capability, efficient supply chain management, competitive market pressure, and effective government policy. This study provides both theoretical and practical contributions by integrating internal firm capabilities and external institutional support into a unified framework for understanding export performance in emerging economies.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of public infrastructure quality, foreign direct investment (FDI), tax incentives, and regulatory efficiency in driving regional economic growth and job creation in Indonesia. Using a quantitative research design, primary data were collected from 125 respondents representing business actors, investors, and government officials across various regions in Indonesia. The data were measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed employing Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results reveal that public infrastructure quality, FDI, tax incentives, and regulatory efficiency all have significant positive effects on regional economic growth. Furthermore, these factors also directly and indirectly influence job creation, with regional economic growth acting as a partial mediating variable. Among the examined determinants, regulatory efficiency emerges as the strongest driver of regional economic growth, while economic growth itself plays a key role in translating policy interventions into employment opportunities. The findings underscore the importance of integrated development strategies that combine infrastructure investment, investment promotion, effective fiscal incentives, and regulatory reform to achieve sustainable and inclusive regional development in Indonesia.
