Abstract

This research explores the role of English as a lingua franca in international business, focusing on its impact on business operations, economic communication, and cross-cultural interactions. The research objectives include understanding the relationship between English proficiency and business success, identifying common cross-cultural communication challenges, and exploring strategies to improve communication in global markets. Using a qualitative methodology, data was gathered through Semi-structured interviews conducted with 10 key informants, including 2 managers, 2 executives, and 6 employees from 2 multinational corporations and 2 small businesses that operate in global markets. Key findings indicate that higher English proficiency enhances business outcomes, while cross-cultural communication barriers often complicate international transactions. The study concludes that businesses should invest in language training to boost competitiveness and mitigate communication challenges in global operations.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of the wakalah bil ujrah contract at BSI Subang Otista 2. Wakalah contract is a contract found in the world of Islamic banking. Wakalah bil ujrah is to represent or refer another person to represent him accompanied by a reward that has been mentioned at the beginning. This writing uses qualitative research methods, data sources are taken from primary data sources which conduct interviews supported by literature, the type of data is qualitative data, data collection techniques are carried out by semi-structured interviews which in their implementation are more open as well as in finding more open problems supported by tracking literature related to wakalah bil ujrah, data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research conducted, the implementation of the application of the wakalah bil ujrah contract at BSI Subang Otista 2 such as for the purchase of goods such as houses, building materials, vehicle purchases, all the goods are clear and usually there is a wakalah contract first and then murobahahah with the bank. Wakalah bil ujrah is used in Islamic banking because sometimes the goods that customers want are certain goods. The determination of ujrah or reward is determined at the beginning of the contract.

Abstract

Kebijakan efisiensi anggaran merupakan langkah strategis pemerintah untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan belanja negara. Langkah konkret terbaru di tahun 2025, yakni Instruksi Presiden Nomor 1 Tahun 2025 yang dikeluarkan pada tanggal 22 Januari 2025, menetapkan pemangkasan anggaran belanja negara sebesar Rp 306,69 triliun. Namun, implementasi kebijakan ini sering menimbulkan pro dan kontra di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen masyarakat terhadap kebijakan efisiensi anggaran tahun 2025 dengan pendekatan Text Mining dan Natural Language Processing (NLP). Data dikumpulkan dari media sosial Twitter menggunakan teknik web crawling berbasis Python, dengan kata kunci tertentu dan filter waktu tertentu, sehingga diperoleh 1.614 tweet yang relevan. Proses pre-processing meliputi pembersihan data, case folding, tokenisasi dan stopword removal. Data kemudian diberi label sentimen secara manual (positif, negatif, netral), dibagi menjadi data latih (70%) dan data uji (30%) dengan teknik stratified sampling, serta ditransformasikan menjadi bentuk numerik menggunakan metode TF-IDF. Hasil klasifikasi menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas sentimen masyarakat bersifat negatif (74,53%), dengan akurasi model mencapai 93,01%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat ketidakpuasan publik terhadap kebijakan tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemanfaatan teknologi untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data (evidence-based policy), serta dapat menjadi acuan bagi pemerintah dalam merumuskan strategi komunikasi publik yang lebih responsif.

Abstract

The core issue is understanding the unique marketing strategies and sales advantages of gold installment products at BSI KCP Subang Pamanukan that distinguish it from other Islamic banking branches. This article aims to analyze the marketing strategy of gold installments to increase sales at BSI KCP Subang Pamanukan. Gold Installments is a BSI product that has interest in the community because it offers many benefits for those who want to invest and want stable gold prices. Gold investment is a way to invest now and have benefits in the future. This research method uses a qualitative research method aimed at understanding marketing strategies contextually. Primary data sources are taken from interviews with related parties, secondary data sources are taken from literature in the form of publications and written narratives related to the gold installment marketing strategy. The type of data used is qualitative data. Data collection techniques are taken by interview supported by literature tracking related to the gold installment marketing strategy. Data analysis techniques are in the form of descriptive analysis techniques, analysis techniques on the marketing strategy of gold installment products and increasing their sales. Based on the research conducted, it resulted in a marketing strategy at BSI KCP Subang Pamanukan that the gold installment marketing strategy used is by utilizing social media, distributing brochures, and educating about the benefits of gold investment. Gold sales at BSI KCP Subang Pamanukan experience significant developments every year. The implications of the results of this study are to provide a strategic roadmap for Islamic banking institutions to improve the marketing of gold installment products by offering a targeted approach, flexible options, and customer-centric strategies that can improve sales performance and accessibility of financial products.
