Abstract

this study. This research was conducted from November 2022 to December 2022. This study was categorized as a quasi-experimental research project. There were 38 students from Class TKJ who were the control group, and 37 students from Class TKJ 4 who were the experimental group, totaling 75 students. Students in the experimental group were explained about the Digital Literacy Through Weblog, while those in the control group were explained lightly. The pre-test and post-test methods were used to get the data. Both groups took the pre-test before the therapy, and both groups took the post-test following the treatment. The T-test was used to assess the data from the pre-test and post-test for both groups. The result of the research shows that the difference in reading ability between the students taught digital literacy through and those taught without digital literacy through weblog is significant. It can be seen in the result of the hypothesis testing

Abstract

Teaching and learning process in the classroom will run well when the learning process uses the good method. One of the method that can be applied in the classroom is using technology such as podcast. The aim of this research is to discover the effectiveness of using English Video Podcast in improving the students’ listening comprehension of eight-ninth students of SMP Advent Makassar. This research is applied by using a mix method approach, specifically the researcher applied quasi-experimental research design, and the data analysis was done by statistical description. And the based on the researcher findings, the use of English video podcast can be effective learning media to improve students’ listening comprehension. It can be seen there was increasing from the data of Pre-Test to the Post-test after the teacher gave the treatment to the experimental group. Before the treatment was given the students’ mean score for the experimental group on the pre test is 56.50 and after the treatment was given the students’ mean score is 78.50. It means that the using of podcast has improved students’ listening comprehension. The result was improved. It is supported by some previous study that also has a positive effect by using a podcast in teaching listening. And based on the questionnaire and the interview given the result showed positive impact of using English video podcast in improving listening comprehension.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the using of code mixing on social media at the Elevent Grade of Sekolah Advent Makassar. This research applied descriptive qualitative research. Data collection technique by using an observation and interview. Purposive sampling is the technique to chose the subject. There were 5 Students as subject from 26 students.  The data  was taken by the screeshot observation to know their type of code mixing on Instagram. The researchers interviewed for the 5 students to know about the students’ reasons using code mixing in writing status. Based on the results of the observation, interviews and recording that have been conducted, students used type of code mixing dominant is insertion in writing daily satus and ther reasons students’ used code mixing in writing daily status are less of English vocabulary and social community. The researcher found that the highest reason of using code mxing by the students is that they have less English vocabulary. This proves that the role of social media and community is very important at this ages and Students’ involvement in every situation to express their languages

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze whether these digital skills are able to solve students' problems. Perceptions of students about digital literacy XI OTKP SMK Darussalam Makassar. This research is a qualitative research. data collection technique by using a interview and giving a questionnaire. The researcher took 19 students of class XI OTKP SMK Darussalam Makassar as research subjects.  the researcher use questionnaire for 19 students to know about the survey in the impact digital literacy for resolve learning problems. The interview for the 7 students, to know about the students’ perception about the Digital literacy in learning process. the student statements above, concluded that digital literacy in education has a positive impact on students, easy access to various kinds of information needed to solve problems,  becomes a new habit for students, namely seeking information not only from textbooks or from teachers. Students also become more critical and communicate a lot with their friends about the information they get. Based on the results of the interviews that have been conducted, students answered that the teacher is the main aspect that must provide a comfortable situation in the classroom. This proves that the role of parents and teachers is very important at this stage and Students’ statements also express positive things about digital literacy in their learning process

Abstract

The objectives of this study explored two main cases, (1) what is the influence of self-efficacy on students' interpersonal communication in higher education and (2) What was the level of self-efficacy on interpersonal communication in higher education. This study applied mixed method which is explanatory sequential design or well-known as QUAN-QUAL as the one of the types of mixed method research. There was one class of the third semester students participated as the participant and this study conducted in Universitas Muslim Indonesia. The result of this research leads to the evidence that self-efficacy influence on interpersonal communication. There were three the influence of self-efficacy on interpersonal communication they are confident, motivation and self-control. Students who have high self-efficacy toward interpersonal communication tend easier to speak up than the students who have low self-efficacy. And there are three levels of selfefficacy on interpersonal communication which were experienced by the students. Those three levels covered such categorization such as low self-efficaci obtained 6.1% (two students), moderate self-efficacy obtained 39.4% (thirteen students), and high self-efficacy obtained 54.5% (eighteen students). From these results, the researcher concludes that the level of self-efficacy on interpersonal communication of students is dominantly high with the percent of 54.5%.
