Abstract

This study examines racism as explored by progressive Western Islamic scholar Jonathan A.C. Brown in his book Islam and Blackness. Racism is shaped by specific perceptions of race and blackness originating in the West, particularly in the United States, which have significantly influenced global discussions and debates. Distinctions between black and white remain stark in various social spheres. Employing qualitative research based on textual materials gathered through library research, this study utilizes a primary-source dialogue approach. The hadith analysis method applied is domain analysis, aiming to explore and analyze content. According to Brown, racial equality issues stem from varied ethnic preferences across regions, where culture plays a crucial role in shaping perceptions. The most malleable components of racial dynamics are those influenced by cultural conditioning. Within the framework of Islamic tradition, the Prophet Muhammad, as the principal advocate for justice, explicitly called for dismantling severe social boundaries in his community. Consequently, the most effective solution lies in the commitment of individuals, communities, and communal leaders to transcend racial, socioeconomic, and cultural divides. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how Islam, as interpreted by Brown, can provide novel perspectives for combating racism and racial discrimination. It underscores the importance of integrating textual, scientific, and transformative philosophical perspectives. The research also enriches the global discourse on racial equality by connecting social and religious issues while proposing Islamic-based solutions to dismantle prevailing social barriers.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus anak anak usia dini di Pekon Negri Ratu 2 Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dilaksanakan secara partisipatif anak-anak usia dini dalam kegiatan membuat karya lukisan dengan teknik kolase dan memanfaatkan sumberdaya yang ada di lingkungan tempat tinggal mereka. Peserta pengabdian ini adalah anak-anak usia dini yang berasal dari Pekon Negri Ratu 2 berjumlah 20 anak. Anak-anak dilatih untuk menggunting, mewarnai, menggambar, menempel, dan menyusun objek menjadi lukisan yang indah. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan motivasi yang baik dari peserta dan meningkatnya keterampilan motorik halus yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil karya lukisan teknik kolase yang baik dan indah. Kata Kunci : Motorik Halus, Teknik Kolase.

Abstract

Kewarganegaraan merupakan bagian dari mata kuliah wajib umum (MKWU) sesuai amanat konstitusi. Menghadapi ancaman tantangan hambatan dan gangguan (ATHG) negara Indonesia yang semakin kompleks, perguruan tinggi keagamaan islam sebagai bagian dari kekhasan pemerintahan Indonesia harus menunjukkan integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman, namun tetap memiliki satu kesatuan capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah dengan perguruan tinggi umum. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi kewarganegaraan dapat diintegrasikan dengan nilai-nilai ke-Islam-an sehingga dapat menunjang perkuliahannya di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam. Adapun materi-materi yang dapat terintegrasi antara lain Negara dan sistem pemerintahan, demokrasi, serta hak asasi manusia. Bahan ajar sebagai produk dalam penelitian ini layak digunakan dengan persentase kelayakan 89.85 %.-----Citizenship is part of the general compulsory subject (MKWU) according to the mandate of the constitution. Facing the sophisticated threat of obstacles and disturbances in Indonesian, Islamic religious tertiary institutions as part of the uniqueness of the Indonesian government must demonstrate the integration of Islamic values, but still have a unified achievement of learning outcomes with general institutions. The method used is Research and Development with descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. The results showed that the material of citizenship could be integrated with Islamic values so that it can support its lectures at Islamic Religious Colleges. The materials that can integrate include the State and the government system, democracy, and human rights. Teaching material as a product in this study is feasible to use with a percentage of eligibility of 89.85%.

Abstract

In general, educators are all parties who are obliged to nurture and educate for someone to grow and grow naturally. Educators hold a central position in determining the success of teaching and learning process. Therefore, educators must have competencies: (a) personality competence; (b) pedagogic competencies such as understanding the physical and mental condition of learners, (c) professional competence in the form of mastery and practice of knowledge, and (d) social competence that is the ability of educators to interact effectively with the participants Educators, fellow educators, education personnel, parents/ guardians of students, and the surrounding community.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge and understanding, especially in Paku Negara Village, Pesisir Barat Lampung, in preventing stunting, so that quality families can be realized for a better Indonesia. Stunting is a serious health problem in this area that can hinder the physical and mental development of children, so appropriate interventions are needed. This activity involves collaboration between the IAIN Metro community service team in collaboration with students from UM Metro Lampung university as well as health workers such as village midwives and posyandu cadres and local residents. The method used is PAR (Participatory Action Research), which is an activity carried out by involving villagers to jointly solve social problems that occur. Technically this activity includes socialization, implementation, combination / collaboration, education and realization (SIGER). The results of the community service activities are that the community knows information about stunting through socialization and educational leaflets that are distributed, the community knows the food menu with balanced nutrition through training in healthy kitchen management to prevent stunting and more and more people are aware of the importance of creating a quality family free of stunting because this program will continue even though this community service activity is over.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (a) the process of learning Arabic using online games , (b) the psychological condition of students before and after using online games, (c) students' Arabic skills .This study model uses a Mixed-Method. Research respondents were class V MIN 1 Metro and MIN 1 Lampung Timur students, which collected 70 students from each Madrasah. The data collection tool used in this study consisted of three instruments, namely interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The findings of this study that 99.4% of students respond with positive behavior when using online games, and only 0.6% of students respond with negative behavior. Furthermore, using online games improves the psychological condition of students at MIN 1 Metro by 64.75% and at MIN 1 East Lampung students by 64.39%. In addition, the use of online games has increased learning outcomes in Arabic by 39.00% for MIN 1 Metro students and 36.38% for MIN 1 students in East Lampung.

Abstract

This paper is a descriptive analysis of the Quranic views and attitudes on the people with disabilities. It starts with examining verses from the Quran and Prophetic Traditions (Hadith) as well as relevant social reality. Despite the fact that the Quran teaches equality and diversity, Muslims attitudes towards people with disabilities may vary, depending on their perspectives of disability influenced not only by their faith but also their social context. This paper even tries to give a particular emphasis on hidden social messages in the Quran that should be implemented in current everyday life.[Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pandangan serta sikap Alquran terhadap difabel. Penafsiran dimulai dari menelusuri ayat-ayat yang berhubungan dengan difabel dan selanjutnya dihubungkan dengan realitas sosial. Sekalipun Alquran mengajarkan kesetaraan dan keragaman, sikap umat Islam terhadap difabel mungkin saja berbeda tergantung perspektif mereka terhadap difabel dan lingkungan sosial di mana mereka berada. Tulisan ini juga mencoba untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam pesan-pesan sosial tersembunyi dari Alquran terkait difabel sehingga dapat diimplementasikan pada zaman sekarang.]
