Abstract

The performance of an investment instrument is measured by the rate of return and risk resulted from the instrument itself. With higher expected rate of return, it is not impossible that the risk which will be created also as high as the rate of the return. Therefore, to minimize the worst possibility, investors are expected to monitor the performance of financial instruments to be chosen. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the level of performance of conventional stock mutual funds with sharia equity funds in Indonesia is still dependent on the desire of investors to get returns. Thus, by using the method of Sharpe, measurement of risk and rate of return better reflect the real situation on an investment.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between financial risk strategies and long-term sustainability in the banking sector. It aims to examine how banks manage financial risks and their impact on long-term viability, focusing on credit, market, and operational risks. Using a library-based methodology, the study reviews relevant literature, including books, journals, and reports, to analyze risk management frameworks and sustainability practices. The findings indicate that while traditional risk strategies like Value at Risk are essential, integrating sustainability practices—such as CSR and ESG—improves a bank’s resilience and long-term performance. The study concludes that banks adopting comprehensive risk strategies aligned with sustainability are better positioned for long-term success.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of e-Filling on the effectiveness of Tax Return reporting using the D&M IS Success Model. The research subjects are the academic community in the PKN STAN environment who work independently in the Jakarta area and its surroundings. This group was chosen because they are considered to understand the use of e-Filling reporting applications as academics, but some of them still experience difficulties when filling it out. This research uses primary data consisting of 58 responses that have been collected. Data analysis uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) model with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) methods. The test results indicate that Information Quality, System Quality, and Intention to Use have a significant positive effect on the Net Benefit of the e-Filling System. Additionally, Intention to Use successfully mediates the impact of Information Quality and System Quality on the Net Benefit significantly. The implication for the government is to continue updating the e-Filling system by considering the factors of information quality and system quality and striving to socialize the use of e-Filling to the public.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to answer two main questions about the impacts of implementing PSAK 74 on the insurance industry in Indonesia, and the readiness of the industry to implement the latest insurance accounting standard. This study employed qualitative research inquiry using the video method. The data in this study were sourced majorly from the results of an onlineobservation in PSAK 74 webinars followed by documentation of relevant literature to synthesize knowledge on the implementation of PSAK 74 in Indonesia. Several interviews were conducted with academics and insurance practitioners to validate the knowledge. The collected data were analyzed by utilizing video-based analysis. This study concludes that the insurance sector in Indonesia has experienced a major obstacle related to the competence of accountants during the preparation of the PSAK 74 implementation. In addition, a significant overhaul of the company’s accounting information system is necessary to meet all the PSAK 74 requirements. This research contributes to providing insightful knowledge for the Indonesian insurance industry regarding crucial changes in the company’s financial reporting system as a result of the PSAK 74 implementation.

Abstract

Background: Financial management in the digital era has shifted significantly due to the rapid adoption of digital financial services and technologies. Specific background: Despite increased financial inclusion in Indonesia, financial literacy remains low, leading to inconsistent financial behavior across demographic groups. Knowledge gap: Previous studies have rarely examined the comprehensive moderating role of financial technology in the relationship among financial literacy, lifestyle, financial inclusion, and financial behavior within the general public. Aims: This study aims to analyze the relationship between financial literacy, lifestyle, and financial inclusion with financial behavior, and to examine how financial technology moderates these relationships. Results: Using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with 96 respondents, results indicate that financial literacy, financial technology, and lifestyle significantly shape financial behavior, while financial inclusion does not. Financial technology strengthens the relationship between financial literacy and financial inclusion with financial behavior but not with lifestyle. Novelty: The study identifies the dual moderating role of financial technology in linking literacy and inclusion to responsible financial practices. Implications: These findings emphasize the need for integrated financial education and digital literacy programs to promote smarter and more sustainable financial management in the digital economy. Highlights Financial literacy and technology jointly shape responsible financial behavior Financial inclusion alone does not ensure improved financial management Financial technology strengthens the link between knowledge and financial discipline Keywords Financial Literacy, Financial Technology, Lifestyle, Financial Inclusion, Financial Behavior

Abstract

This paper explores the macroeconomic determinants shaping the composition of Indonesia’s sovereign debt portfolio, distinguishing between foreign loans, government securities, and sukuk instruments. Using quarterly data from 2010 to 2025 and a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), the study reveals robust long-run cointegration between key macro variables and debt composition. Exchange rate stability, global interest rate dynamics, and fiscal policy adjustments emerge as dominant drivers. Policy implications underscore the importance of active debt diversification and macroprudential coordination to enhance fiscal resilience. Employing the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), the analysis examines the impact of the exchange rate (X1), LIBOR (X2), SIBOR (X3), U.S. Prime Rate (X4), Japan Prime Rate (X5), foreign exchange reserves (X6), inflation rate (X7), and GDP growth rate (X8) on the allocation of foreign loans (Y1), government debt securities (Y2), and state sharia securities (Y3) over the period 2010–2025. The findings reveal that the relationships between the dependent variables (Y1, Y2, Y3) and the macroeconomic indicators (X1–X8) are both dynamic and heterogeneous in the short and long term. These results underscore that the effectiveness of economic policy is not solely dependent on direct interventions targeting debt instruments, but also on the government's ability to manage long-term adjustment mechanisms and short-term transmission channels, particularly through key variables such as X5, X3, and X2.

Abstract

Background: Trade agreements play an increasingly central role in shaping Indonesia’s export participation within a global environment marked by structural disparities and non-tariff constraints. Specific background: Although Indonesia has entered numerous trade agreements, the degree to which these agreements correspond with higher export intensity varies substantially across partner countries. Knowledge gap: Prior studies predominantly examine export values or volumes, while limited research assesses export intensity using a structural indicator that captures the depth of bilateral trade preferences. Aim: This study analyzes Indonesia’s export intensity across partner countries with and without trade agreements using the Trade Intensity Index for the period 2010–2023. Results: Feasible Generalized Least Squares estimation shows that trade agreements are consistently associated with higher export intensity, whereas domestic and partner economic size correspond with lower relative intensity. Non-tariff barriers remain the strongest limiting factor, while tariffs and real bilateral exchange rates do not show statistical relevance. Economic distance aligns with higher export intensity, reflecting complementarities with high-demand economies. Novelty: The study integrates structural, macroeconomic, and policy-related variables within an intensity-based framework rather than focusing solely on export levels. Implications: Findings highlight the importance of reducing non-tariff constraints and strengthening firm capability so that trade agreements can support deeper export engagement across partner countries. Highlights: Export intensity is generally higher among Indonesia’s partner countries with formal trade agreements. Non-tariff barriers remain the strongest factor limiting Indonesia’s export intensity across partners. Economic distance aligns with stronger export intensity due to structural complementarities with larger economies.
