Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial knowledge, financial attitudes and locus of control on financial management behavior of students of the Economic Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau. The population in this study were active undergraduate students of the Economic Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau, batch 2018 and 2019 both male and female who lived in boarding houses with a total of 88 students. The sample of this study amounted to 88 students with the sampling technique using the saturated sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire distributed through google forms and the collected data is then tabulated and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Hypothesis testing was carried out with partial and simultaneous significant tests. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.440, which means that 44% of financial management behavior was influenced by financial knowledge, financial attitudes and locus of control while the remaining 56% was influenced by other independent variables not included in this study. Future research is expected to be able to examine other variables other than the three variables in the study. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the school environment and self-efficacy on student learning outcomes in economics at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang. The problem addressed is the low student learning outcomes, which are suspected to be caused by a lack of support for the school environment and self-efficacy. The methodology used was a quantitative descriptive approach, with a population of 165 students and a sample of 63 students drawn using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure the school environment and self-efficacy, as well as documentation of final semester exam scores for learning outcomes. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression to test the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that the school environment and self-efficacy significantly influenced student learning outcomes, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 59.1%. A t-test indicated that the school environment and self-efficacy each significantly influenced learning outcomes with significance values ​​of 0.001 and 0.000, respectively. These findings emphasize the importance of developing the school environment and self-efficacy in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This paper discusses the effectiveness of creative product learning and entrepreneurship in the light vehicle engineering programme at Class XII of SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara. The method the researchers used was a quantitative descriptive method with a formative evaluation model. The research object was creative product learning and entrepreneurship of class XII. Data collection techniques used tests and observation. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results imply that the presentation for the learning process was 72.5% and students’ learning outcome was 53.85%. Thus, it can be concluded that (1) the creative products and entrepreneurship learning process in the light vehicle engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara is still in the sufficient category, (2) students’ learning outcome of creative products and entrepreneurship in the light vehicle engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara is still in the less category, and (3) the effectiveness of creative product learning and entrepreneurship in the light vehicle engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara is still not effective.

Abstract

This article addresses the low learning outcomes in integrated Social Studies (IPS) for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru during online learning. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method to examine the effect of learning motivation and learning independence on students’ learning outcomes. The population included all eighth-grade students, with a purposive sample of 78 students from classes VIII B and VIII G. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity tests, and multiple linear regression via SPSS. The results showed that learning motivation contributed 70.3% to students’ learning outcomes, while learning independence contributed 76.2%. The findings indicate that both learning motivation and learning independence have a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes during online learning, with a combined contribution of 76.2% in integrated IPS subjects.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has transformed various sectors, including education. One of the most influential AI-based applications today is Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT), which is widely used by students as an interactive learning assistant. This study aims to examine the influence of ChatGPT usage on students’ perceptions of learning quality. This quantitative correlational research involved 100 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through the Chi-Square test and Ordinal Logistic Regression. The findings reveal a significant correlation between ChatGPT usage and students’ learning quality perception. These results indicate that the more frequently and critically students use ChatGPT, the more positive their perception of learning quality becomes. ChatGPT thus serves as an innovative and adaptive learning tool that enhances educational quality when utilized responsibly and ethically.
