Abstract

Regional Original Income (PAD) in Pekanbaru City is still not good. This is because the target set by the Pekanbaru City government has not been achieved for the last 5 (five) years. Regional levies are local levies as payment for certain services and permits specifically provided and/or granted by local governments for the benefit of individuals or organizations. One example is the Retribution for Garbage/Cleaning Services, Parking Services, and Market Services. Market services are traditional/simple market facilities in the form of kiosks and stalls managed by the government for traders. Pekanbaru City has 6 UPTD Markets, none of which has reached the target of realization for the last 3 years. Only about 92.47% of the most realized realizations were paid off from the target. There are still many obstacles in the management of market retribution activities. So that the existence of these problems certainly has an influence on increasing market levies in Pekanbaru City. If POAC management is applied in the perspective of HR management, the management of market service retribution in the city of Pekanbaru can increase or reach the target every year, not only from HR management from the market sector but also HR management from traders in order to fulfill their obligations as traders who enjoy facilities from the government. If the management of human resources from the market sector and traders is paid for, it will automatically increase the income for local revenue, especially in the city of Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are a crucial aspect of any learning process. Various factors, both internal and external, can affect student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyse the effect of teacher teaching style, learning environment, and interest in learning on motivation and learning outcomes of students in grades X, XI, and XII at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun and SMA Negeri 1 Sosa. The research was conducted from February to June 2023 with a descriptive quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used included questionnaires and documentation. A total of 90 students were selected as respondents through simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that directly, the teacher's teaching style, learning environment, and learning interest affect learning outcomes through the mediating role of learning motivation. However, learning motivation does not have a direct effect on learning outcomes. Learning environment and learning interest were shown to influence learning outcomes through increasing learning motivation. This finding indicates that the right teacher teaching style that suits students' needs, a conducive learning environment, and high interest in learning can increase learning motivation, which in turn has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of improving the quality of teachers' teaching styles, creating a supportive learning environment, and developing students' interest in learning as strategies to encourage motivation and achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

Student loyalty refers to a strong commitment upheld by students to continuously support the services they receive, even to the extent of influencing prospective students to also experience those services. Several factors can influence student loyalty, namely customer satisfaction, service quality, and the facilities and infrastructure provided by the school itself. Therefore, it is important for individuals to develop a high level of loyalty to the school they have chosen. Through such loyalty, individuals can help maintain the school’s reputation and contribute to better achievements, both on an individual and collective level. This study aims to analyse the influence of service quality and facilities on loyalty, mediated by satisfaction. The sampling method used was saturated sampling, whereby the entire population was taken as the sample, comprising 34 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire, and the data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modelling - Partial Least Squares). The findings indicate that service quality and facilities can influence loyalty through satisfaction. Therefore, improving service quality and providing adequate facilities and infrastructure are key factors in building student satisfaction, which in turn has a positive impact on loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in improving the learning outcomes of class X students at MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes of students in economics subjects which indicate that many students have not achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). The research method used is quantitative with a One Group Pre Test - Post Test design. The research sample consisted of 32 class X.11 students selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through learning outcome tests conducted before and after the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model. Data analysis techniques used the Gain Normality Test (N-Gain) and the Paired Sample T Test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament model. This study concludes that the Teams Games Tournament learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes and can be an alternative interesting and interactive learning strategy to increase student motivation and involvement in the teaching and learning process.
