Abstract

This paper examines the factors that led to the emergence of independent candidates for Election of Regent and Vice Regent of Garut in 2013. The number of candidates who register through independent channels reached 22 candidate pairs with diverse professional and organizational background, after verified 4 pairs of candidates contesting with 46 candidate pairs from political parties / coalitions of political parties. This independent candidate is present amid the political dynamics of Garut, which is always colored by political elite conflict and unusual change of regent due to corruption case and violation of ethics / legislation. By using qualitative approach with interview technique this paper discusses 3 factors that cause the emergence of individual candidate, that is First,  institutional factor of weak party party, Second, Factor of recruitment process of exclusive and centralized political party. Third is the circulation factor of local political elites, where individual candidates arise as the new middle class increases, dissatisfaction with public service and civil service, and the barrage of elite political conflicts that occur prior to the election of Garut Regent and Vice Regent of 2013.

This study discusses the Influence of Ease, Trust, Comfort and Interface Design. The purpose of this study is to determine how much interest customers have in using the BluBCA application. This study was conducted at PT BCA Tbk Dewi Sartika Branch Office, East Jakarta 13630. This study uses a descriptive research design through a quantitative approach with data collection using a purposive sampling technique with Krejcie table guidelines. The population taken in this study were BCA priority customers of KCP Dewi Sartika who had not used Blu BCA. The number of BCA Priority Dewi Sartika customers is 192 customers, 139 of whom have not used the BluBCA application (source: BCA internal data), the sample used was 103 customers with Krejcie table guidelines and the data processing technique uses the JASP application, an abbreviation of Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program, a statistical analysis software by the Department of Psychological Methods, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. This open-source and multi-platform program is the choice for students and researchers. JASP is an easy-to-use software option with complete features. From the results of the research of multiple linear regression equations as follows, Y = 1.793 + 0.186 X1 + 0.289 X2 - 0.047 X3 +0.343 X4+e from the calculation, it can be seen that, the variables of Ease, Trust, Comfort and Interface design have an effect on customer interest in using the BluBCA application, but there is a difference in this study where the effect of comfort on the interest produced in this study is not significant.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of the Instagram account @wahanavisi_id in supporting the Bantu Rumah Baca Anak Papua program, a social initiative to improve the literacy of Papuan children through the provision of reading rooms. The main objective of this research is to explore the digital communication strategy implemented by the Instagram account, as well as its impact on public awareness and participation in education-based social movements. Using Pierre Lévy's Collective Intelligence theory, this research identifies the role of connectivity, active participation and collaboration in mobilizing support through social media. The results show that Instagram is not only an effective communication tool, but also a platform to build social solidarity and raise awareness of education in Papua. Through the use of visual elements, emotional narratives, and interactive features of Instagram, @wahanavisi_id succeeded in inviting audiences to participate in this social campaign, both through donations, information sharing, and collaboration with various parties. These findings contribute to the digital communication literature, especially in the context of new media-based social movements in Indonesia.
