Abstract

Junk goods are no longer piles of worthless goods for businessmen who are keen to see the economic value by taking this opportunity by becoming a pelapak company to buy and sell junk goods purchased from collectors to be sold to buyers. The problems found with Pelapak include the manual recording of sales administration which has the potential to cause recording errors. Pelapak does not know for sure the stock of junk they own and those owned by collectors because the locations of the collectors are far apart. Orders of junk goods between pelapak and collectors are still via telephone so pelapak does not know which collectors are in the process of sending goods. Problems also occur on the part of collectors including unprofessional sales transactions. Based on these problems, a used goods stock management system is needed using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The purpose of this study is to build a used goods stock management information system that can monitor the availability of used goods owned by collectors and pelapak. System development uses the prototype method and designs with concepts. The results of the research are that the system created can help find out the stock and the amount in each collector, recap sales reports, provide accurate information, facilitate business transactions and fulfill sales targets to buyers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate Cilacap State Polytechnic students' readiness for the EPT-P and determine the obstacles they encounter as well as the strategies they employ to pass the test. This research used a mixed-methods case study design. To collect data, it used test and questionnaires which refer to the theory of Self-Regulated Learning, Test Taking Strategy, TAM and study of interlanguage. Analysis was based on Likert scale responses. It involved 60 final-year students of Cilacap State Polytechnic in the academic year of 2021/2022 from different study programmes. The study found that students at the State Polytechnic of Cilacap had a general lack of English competence, with just 25 out of 60 (41%) scoring over the 400 EPT-P pass score. Key issues were linguistic difficulties 37 students (62%) struggled with long reading texts, 41 (68%) struggled with essay writing, and 40 (67%) had difficulty listening, with 17 (28%) strongly agreeing. Psychological challenges were particularly significant: 28 students (47%) reported anxiety, while 44 (73%) reported losing focus. Technological and resource challenges were prominent, with 40 students (67%) lacking preparation materials and 55 (92%) never having had official instruction. Furthermore, 33 students (55%) considered the listening equipment unclear, and 54 (90%) thought the test was overpriced. Only 16 students (27%) prepared mentally and physically, while only 9 (15%) took classes. These findings, which were backed by many language learning and educational theories, emphasise the importance of economical training, easily accessible materials, and personalised coaching in improving student performance.

Abstract

Anomaly detection in web server environments is essential for identifying early indicators of cyberattacks that arise from abnormal request behaviors. Traditional signature-based mechanisms often fail to detect emerging or obfuscated threats, requiring more adaptive analytical approaches. This study proposes an optimized anomaly detection model using K-Means clustering enhanced with engineered security-rule features and the Elbow Method. Two datasets were used: a small dataset of 3,399 log entries from one VPS and a large dataset of 223,554 entries collected from three VPS nodes, all sourced from local production servers of the Department of Computer and Business, Politeknik Negeri Cilacap. The preprocessing pipeline includes timestamp normalization, removal of non-informative static resources, numerical feature scaling, and TF-IDF encoding of URL paths. Domain-driven security features entropy scores, encoded-payload indicators, abnormal status-code ratios, and request-rate deviations were integrated to improve anomaly separability. Experiments across five model configurations show that combining larger datasets with rule-based features significantly enhances clustering performance, achieving a Silhouette Score of 0.9136 and a Davies–Bouldin Index of 0.4712. The results validate the effectiveness of incorporating security-rule engineering with unsupervised learning to support early-warning threat detection in web server environments.
