Abstract

Rawa Gede Agrotourism is a tourist attraction located in Sirnajaya Tourism Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. Coffee is one of the largest plantation products in Sirnajaya Tourism Village. But so far the results of coffee plantations have not been used as typical souvenirs. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide skills in making coffee product packaging designs to coffee farmer groups, communities and tourism driving groups in rural areas. This series of activities starts from March to July 2023 and there are 2 (two) stages of community service that have been carried out including varied lectures presented by resource persons with some material that touched on tourism products and workshops in the form of direct training on making coffee product packaging designs. The success of this activity was evaluated using a krikpatrick evaluation model in the form of reaction evaluation and learning evaluation by providing a pre-test before the training began to measure participants' understanding of the material to be delivered then post-test was carried out after the workshop was completed. The results of this activity showed that the participants were very enthusiastic and motivated to promote Rawa Gede coffee products by expanding their target market through tourism activities in Sirnajaya Village and this activity could also improve the economy of rural communities.

Abstract

Kawungluwuk Village has significant potential to develop into a community-based agrotourism destination due to its diverse agricultural resources. However, the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) currently has limited understanding and capacity regarding the village’s agrotourism potential. The community service activity was conducted in person from 3 - 17 April 2026, with the aim of enhancing the POKDARWIS’s ability to identify, map and understand the village’s agrotourism potential. Pre-activity preparations, field observations, potential mapping and outreach through mini-sharing sessions formed part of the agricultural assessment methodology employed. The results of the activities indicate that Kawungluwuk Village has the potential to become an agrotourism hub featuring various types of agriculture, horticulture, livestock farming, and cultivation. This mentoring activity also enhances POKDARWIS’s understanding of the concept of agrotourism, the prospects for developing experience- and education-based tourism, and the vital role of the local community as key stakeholders. This initiative represents the first strategic step towards supporting the sustainable growth of agrotourism in Kawungluwuk Village.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to enhance the capacity of village officials to utilize social media as a tool for digital tourism promotion in Kawungluwuk Village, Tanjungsiang Subdistrict, Subang Regency. The potential for natural and cultural tourism has not been fully realized due to limited digital promotion skills. The method employed was a hands-on workshop comprising preparation, demonstration, practice, and mentoring sessions held from April 7–20, 2026. The results show an improvement in the village officials’ ability to manage Instagram. Achievements include the creation of an official account, the development of a one-month content plan, and the ability to produce content independently. This activity increases the exposure of village tourism and opens economic opportunities for the community through the promotion of local products and services, as well as encourages active community participation in the sustainable management of the village’s digital promotion. From a sustainability perspective, this program is designed to continue operating with limited resources by optimizing the role of village officials as primary managers, utilizing simple digital tools (smartphones), and developing easy-to-implement content guidelines. Additionally, sustainability is supported by the division of account management roles and realistic content scheduling. The use of Instagram has proven effective in increasing visibility and expanding the promotional reach of the village’s tourism potential. Therefore, this community service initiative serves as a strategic step in supporting the development of sustainable, digital-based village tourism promotion.

Abstract

Harapan Island, located in the Thousand Islands National Park, has great potential to be developed as a conservation-based ecotourism and incentive travel destination. However, the management of planned tour packages is still limited. Community service activities were carried out in October–November 2025 to improve the ability of local communities to develop sustainable incentive travel tour packages. The method used was experiential learning through training and mentoring for 25 participants consisting of members of POKDARWIS, homestay owners, MSME actors, and local communities. The training was held on 21 November 2025 in the Multipurpose Room of the Pulau Harapan Village Office. The material covered the concepts of incentive travel, the principles of sustainable tourism, the role of the local community, and basic English communication for tourism. Evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests showed an increase in participants' understanding from 55% to 100%. This activity helped the community develop tourism products that support conservation, sustainability, and local economic improvement, so that Pulau Harapan has the potential to become a leading incentive travel destination.
