Abstract

Radiation therapy for head and neck cancer frequently caused severe salivary gland dysfunction. The salivary gland dysfunction possibly decreased the protective function of saliva and caused dental caries. The purpose of this study was to obtain an illustration about DMF-T index in patient undergoing radiation therapy with LINAC X-ray radiation for head and neck cancer at Department of Radiotherapy, Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital in January-February 2007. The study was a simple descriptive. The study was conducted on 7 males and 9 females undergoing radiation therapy with LINAC X-ray radiation for head and neck cancer. The ages of patient are between 37 years and 77 years. The severity of caries was measured by DMF-T index. DMF-T index in 16 patient undergoing radiation therapy with LINAC X-ray radiation for head and neck cancer at Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital is 10.6 as the result of this study. The conclusion of this study showed that the DMF-T index in 16 patient undergoing radiation therapy with LINAC X-ray radiation for head and neck cancer at Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital had very high grade based on WHO classification, which the value was over 6.6.

Abstract

Panoramic radiography can be used in most dentomaxillofacial procedures, that can give a wide coverage of teeth and supporting tissue for assisting diagnosis. The aim of this research was to obtain data about the validity of panoramic radiography for measuring radioanatomy alveolar bone crest, cementoenamel junction (CEJ), and dental apex which is useful in measuring the level of alveolar bone resorption. This descriptive research and measurement was done to 25 sample which fulfilled sample criteria from panoramic radiography result by orthopantomograph 100. This research was done with Ramfjord criteria radioanatomy point. The result of this research showed that the average value measured of alveolar bone crest from the entire region was about 41.67%, most value at the mandibular molar was about 92%, the least value at the maxillary premolar was about 0%. The average value measured of CEJ from entire region was about 11%, most value at the maxillary molar and mandibular molar about 26%, at least value at the maxillary incisor, mandibular incisor, and maxillary premolar were about 0%. The average value measured of dental apex from the entire region was about 56.33%, most value at the mandibular molar was about 96%, the least value at the maxillary premolar was about 8%. The conclusion of this research was a part of radioanatomy alveolar bone crest and a part of dental apex could be measured, while CEJ at least measured. Measurement from the three of radioanatomy point showed the mandibular molar region which was at most measured.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the short-term and long-term relationship of the MSMEs sector toward absorption employment in Indonesia. The method used is error correction model (ECM). The variables consisted of the number of MSMEs units, GDP and investment as independent variables, and MSME labor as the dependent variable. The data is used from 1996 to 2018. The results show that in the short term the number of MSMEs and GDP has a significant effect on employment in Indonesia; whereas only the number of MSMEs units will affect the employment of the MSME sector in Indonesia in the long run,. MSMEs are expected to increase their capacity in terms of business management. For policymakers and other stakeholders should to create programs in effort to increase the number of MSMEs as well as creating a conducive business climate for MSMEs players in Indonesia.
