Abstract

Public health centers as the spearhead of health services, also provide emergency and observation nursing services, due to the high number of accidents in East Java. The purpose of this study was to develop the nurses performance model in providing emergency and obeservation nursing services at Puskesgadarsi (Emergency and Observation Community Health Center) in East Java, using cross sectional design. The subjects of 120 nurses were selected by multi stage sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and FGDs, and then analyzed using structural equation modeling to produce an model of ‘emergency and observation’ nursing service for nurses at Puskesgadarsi. Components of the model were reinforcing factors, personal factors, cognition factors, affection factors, commitment, interpersonal, reinforcement and nurse performance. Nurses can use this model in providing nursing services with due regard to their knowledge and skills, facilities and infrastructure, as well as interaction and self-reinforcement, so as to be able to perform nursing services emergency and observation well.

Abstract

 Family an important role for hypertension clients providing them with supports, care, and collaborates with nursing for home visit purposes. In fact, not all families have a adequate response when nurses carry out family nursing care. The purpose of this study is to analyze relationship between family coping and the nurse interpersonal interaction when delivering family nursing care for client with hypertension. This study use an observational analytic method. The samples are the nurses working at the Puskesmas of  Surabaya District Health Office.The study uses  multistage sampling, recruited 110 nurses in total. Variables include family coping and interpersonal interactions. It uses questionnaire for collecting information and the validity and reliability of the questionnaires have been tested. The result of statistical analysis of spearman rho showed that family coping can improve interpersonal nursing interaction (r score 0.382). Family is responsible for providing various facilities for client with hypertension. Families may acts as care givers and establishing good relationships with nurses and other health teams is crucial. Effective coping supports the success of family nursing care for client with hypertension. The Families are encouraged to maintain effective coping while maintained good communication and accepted hypertension clients in the family.

Abstract

Abstrak Perawatan hipertensi memerlukan jangka waktu yang panjang. Faktor perilaku kepatuhan klien merupakan komponen penting dalam keberlanjutan perawatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi persepsi tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku kepatuhan klien hipertensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Jumlah partisipan 20 penderita hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Krembangan Selatan Surabaya. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data. Hasil penelitian menemukan empat tema yaitu kepercayaan diri, penerimaan diri, dukungan keluarga, ketersediaan informasi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan mengambil keputusan pada klien, penerimaan klien hipertensi terhadap penyakitnya, dukungan dari keluarga dan tersedianya informasi yang sangat memadai mempengaruhi kepatuhan perawatan klien hipertensi. Keluarga perlu memberikan kapasitas pada klien untuk mengambil keputusan dan menfasilitasi kebutuhannya. Keluarga juga sebagai sumber informasi perlu meningkatkan pemahaman tentang perawatan hipertensi. Kata kunci: persepsi, perilaku merawat diri, hipertensi   Abstract Treatment of hypertension requires a long period of time. The client's compliance behaviour factor is an important component in the continuity of care. The purpose of this study was to identify perceptions of factors that influence the compliance behavior of hypertension clients. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study. The number of participants is 20 people with hypertension in the working area of the Krembangan Selatan Health Center. Data collection techniques used interviews and observations. The validity of the data used triangulation of data sources. The results found 4 themes, namely self-confidence, self-acceptance, family support, availability of information. The conclusion of this research is the ability to make decisions on the client, the client's acceptance of hypertension for their disease, support from the family and the availability of adequate information affect the adherence to care for hypertensive clients. Families need to give the client the capacity to make decisions and facilitate their needs. Families as well as sources of information need to increase understanding of hypertension treatment.
