Abstract

The breeding places that are known to the public are still limited to the breeding places that are inside the house, even though there are still many breeding places outside, such as plants that can accommodate stagnant water which are used by mosquitoes as breeding places, are still not widely known by the public. The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce and increase public knowledge of mosquito breeding places as an effort to control DHF vector insects in order to reduce DHF cases in the community. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in public knowledge about the natural breeding places for the DHF vector by 34.83% of (46.30% - 81.13%).

Abstract

The development of dengue cases that tend to increase from year to year requires efforts to prevent and control the vector to reduce the vector population. One of them is through Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in the community. PHBS is an awareness movement to get used to clean and healthy living behavior in everyday life, which aims to change people's behavior so that they are more aware, willing and able to perform clean and healthy living actions so that they can improve the quality of public health, especially in vector control. PHBS for the prevention of dengue is more focused on the eradication of Aedes aegypti mosquito nests through the 3M Plus program, namely: keeping the environment clean, and protecting oneself from mosquito bites. The results of the PHBS counseling activities for the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in mothers of PKK RT 004, Labuhan Ratu, Bandar Lampung from the evaluation results of an increase in understanding from the participants for a score of 80 8.33% (2 people), during the pre-test it increased to 62.5% (15 people) after the post-test an increase of 54,2 %, meaning that the number of participants with low scores decreased after the presentation of the material. In general, this devotional activity has a positive impact on the retention of mothers of participants in the handling of dengue fever through PHBS.

Abstract

One of the pests that is a problem for plants is rats. As a result, it can cause a decrease in production, crop failure and can even cause plants to die and losses to farmers. To overcome rat pest attacks, it is necessary to control them. Farmers have not received much information on control efforts derived from natural ingredients. Hence, in this service activity, outreach was carried out on "The Use of Natural Ingredients as Rodenticides and Rat Repellents to Farmer Groups in Negeri Agung Village, Gunung Pelindung District." The results show an increase in knowledge and understanding among participants from the low category of 40% to the high category of 90%, with an average increase of 50%.

Abstract

Larvitrap is a mosquito trap intended for control at the pre-adult stage of vector mosquitoes in an effort to reduce mosquito density in nature. In the development of mosquitoes, the pre-adult stage is an important stage because the critical point in the mosquito life cycle is at the pre-adult stage, namely the egg and larval stages. The term larvitrap, its uses and benefits are not widely known and understood by the community in Tanjung Baru Village, Jati Agung District. Therefore, this counseling was carried out which was aimed at mothers and young women on how to make it. The results of the community service activities showed that there was a change in knowledge and understanding about making larvitraps which from the analysis results showed an increase in knowledge from participants from a low percentage to a high percentage (35% - 65%) with an average increase of 30%.

Abstract

Compost is a material produced from the decomposition process of organic matter, such as wet or dry, husk, garbage and so on. The benefits of compost, apart from reducing organic waste by turning it into useful materials, can improve soil quality and increase plant productivity.. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge, understanding and skills in making compost fertilizer from dry leaves found in the environment to residents in Dusun Pal 6, Desa Karang Sari, Kecamatan Jati Agung. The results of the assessment show that there is an increase in knowledge and understanding of the materials provided with an initial percentage of 52.0% increased by 77.05% with an average increase of 28.3%, the highest increase range is 41% and the lowest is 16%

Abstract

Toadstools can live everywhere in various ecosystems, with various habitats, one of which can infect the skin. The skin is an important part of the human body, because the skin acts as a protector for the body's internal organs, on the other hand, the skin is also a part of the body that is quite sensitive to several infectious diseases rather than microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi. This outreach activity aims to provide education to the community about knowledge and understanding of the fungus as well as efforts to prevent it among the women of the Koran Sari Village study group, Jati Agung Region. The results of this activity assessment show an increase from 45.3% to 77.3% with an average increase of 30.6%, whereas from the results of the assessment process the criteria for paying attention, asking, giving opinions and answering questions is more than not paying attention, not asking, and not giving opinions and not answering.
