Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate character education in students with the implementation of a scientific approach based on curriculum 2013 in the field of biological studies. The characters studied are related to honesty, discipline, cooperation, and independence of student. This descriptive study used 146 students at SMAN 1 Tebingtinggi as sample which were determined by random sampling techniques. Data was collected by questionnaire, 7 questions were about honesty, 8 questions were about discipline, 8 questions were questions about collaboration, and 7 questions were about independence. Data was analyzed by percentage technique. The results of the study showed that honest characters was at an average score of 2.73 (sufficient), the character of the discipline was at an average score of 3.11 (good), the character of cooperation was at an average score of 2.73 (enough), and independent characters was at an average score of 2.68 (enough).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem peredaran Darah di kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 1 Barumun Selatan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel diambil secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan 1 kelas eksperimen dan 1 kelas kontrol . Setelah diberikan perlakuan, kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol akan diberikan posttest untuk mengetahui hasil belajar pasca perlakuan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Uji prasyarat dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro- Wilk dan uji homogenitas Levene Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil rata-rata nilai pretest kelas eksperimen adalah 47,92 dan kelas kontrol adalah 46,91. Nilai postest yang diperoleh dari kelas eksperimen (80,00) lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas kontrol (75,00). Rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dilakukan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji homogenitas Levene Uji normalitas diperoleh hasil dengan pretest 0,398 dan nilai posttest 0,322. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat dikatakan rata- rata nilai pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dan kontrol berdistribusi normal. Uji homogenitas diperoleh nilai pretest 0,340 dan nilai posttest 0,278, dimana pada perhitungan uji-t pada data nilai postest diperoleh 0,003 < 0,05 dimana hal ini menunjukkan bahwasanya model pembelajaran Project Based Learning memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan model yang menghadapkan siswa pada masalah dunia nyata dan melatih siswa berpikir kritis dalam mencari alternatif penyelesaiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi virus kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan T.P 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model PBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan terjadinya peningkatan nilai posttest lebih tinggi di kelas eksperimen dibanding kelas kontrol yaitu 71,14 > 59,86. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil t-test yang menunjukkan 0,001 < 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian model PBL dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa.
