Abstract

To solve increasing population in Indonesia, population education can be implemented in school. The purpose of this study was to analyze the integration of population education in SSK as an effort to realize a planned generation. A phenomenological design with an interview, observation, and documentation was employed in this research. The study's results showed that the integration process of population education in secondary schools occurred through teaching and learning and extracurricular activities, school programs, and pojok kependudukan (population corner). The integration of population education in SSK is inseparable from adaptation, goal attainment, integration, and latency, creating a substantial value and resilience system. The novelty of the research lies in the analysis of Talcott Parsons' structural-functional theory to integrate SSK for the Planned Generation with an adaptation process, where students learn about various population issues. The integration of multiple parties raises students' self-awareness to reach marriage-age maturity, avoiding premarital sex, and sustainably maintain their reproductive health. However, the iintegration requires a more effective delivery medium for the current generation. Therefore, it is necessary to use technology-based population education media that students can utilize. Meanwhile, for science, population-based technology can also be an innovation in streamlining the integration process of population education.

Abstract

Abstrak: Ekoliterasi menjadi karakter yang diharapkan tumbuh di murid saat ini. Mengingat isu perubahan iklim memberikan dampak yang berkepanjangan pada aspek pendidikan. Pesisir menjadi kawasan yang rentan terdampak perubahan iklim. Oleh karenanya tujuan dari tulisan ini untuk menyusun rancangan rancang desain penguatan karakter ekoliterasi murid bagi sekolah kawasan pesisir. Metode yang digunakan melalui studi literatur dari berbagai panduan dan hasil penelitian sampai mewujudkan desain penguatan karakter ekoliterasi yang sesuai bagi murid kawasan pesisir. Melalui kajian literatur dari berbagai panduan dan hasil penelitian terkait, penguatan ekoliterasi di sekolah kawasan pesisir dapat dilakukan dengan integrasi ekoliterasi pada kurikulum, metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek, pendekatan sekolah hijau, model pembelajaran luar ruang, pelatihan guru, keterlibatan komunitas, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Harapannya dengan berbagai strategi yang dilakukan dapat menguatkan karakter ekoliterasi murid kawasan pesisir.Abstract: Ecoliteracy is a character that is expected to grow in today's students. Considering that the issue of climate change has a lasting impact on aspects of education. Coastals are areas that are vulnerable to climate change. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to prepare a design to strengthen students' ecoliteracy character for coastal area schools. The method used is through literature studies from various guides and research results to create a design for strengthening ecoliteracy characters that is suitable for students in coastal areas. Through a literature review of various guides and related research results, strengthening ecoliteracy in coastal area schools can be done by integrating ecoliteracy into the curriculum, project-based learning methods, green school approaches, outdoor learning models, teacher training, community involvement, and the use of technology. It is hoped that the various strategies implemented can strengthen the ecoliteracy character of students in coastal areas.

Abstract

Alam tidak bisa dipisahkan dari dari kehidupan manusia. Keduanya hidup beriringan dan saling menjaga. Salah satu dari bentuk upaya masyarakat menjaga alam tercermin dalam suatu kearifan lokal (local wisdom). Ketika suatu wilayah terdampak perubahan iklim maka nilai kearifan lokal perlu dikedepankan sebagai pedoman hidup. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat pada masyarakat Bandengan terkait dalam pengelolaan lingkungan berbasis mitigasi perubahan iklim yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar etnopedagogi. Daerah Bandengan merupakan pesisir yang terdampak rob selama 3 (tiga) tahun terakhir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, subjek kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah anggota masyarakat pesisir Bandengan, yang berlokasi di Desa Bandengan Kabupaten Kendal Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penentuan informan dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun informan yang menjadi subjek penelitian diantaranya adalah: sesepuh desa, penjual ikan di Tempat Pelelangan Ikan dan warga masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat di Bandengan terkait pengelolaan lingkungan berbasis mitigasi perubahan iklim diantaranya: Nilai Religi, Nilai Patuh, dan Nilai Sederhana. Masyarakat Bandengan yang menggantungkan hidupnya pada hasil laut menganggap laut merupakan anugerah yang harus dijaga kelestariannya. Nilai-nilai itu mereka junjung tinggi dan dipatuhi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang menjadi landasan kepribadian anggota masyarakat Bandengan dalam mengelola lingkungan tempat tinggalnya dalam rangka mitigasi pada perubahan iklim yang terjadi. Nilai kearifan lokal bisa menjadi sumber belajar etnopedagogi untuk diajarkan di sekolah diwujudkan dalam media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to describe what it is about the potential of the Prince Diponegoro museum as a social studies learning resource in high schools. This study uses a type of qualitative research whose aim is to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects using naturalistic methods with data obtained in the field naturally, as they are, not manipulated, and without being influenced intentionally. case studies with various data collection techniques. The results showed that the Prince Diponegoro Museum, which is located in Tegalrejo Village, Tegalrejo District, Yogyakarta City, is suitable to be used as an alternative source of social studies learning in secondary schools, based on the results of observations and interviews in the field with the management of the Prince Diponegoro Museum and junior high school teachers who had visiting the Prince Diponegoro Museum Diponegoro Museum, according to them the collection of the Prince Diponegoro Museum is worthy of being used as a learning resource, especially social studies subjects at the junior high school level. The majority of the collections have great potential when viewed from the weight of the collection, not too heavy and not too light, also for junior high school level learning.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of basic education in improving the quality of life of fishing families in Ujungalang Village, Kampung Laut District, Cilacap. Basic education has an important role in equipping fishermen's children with basic knowledge and skills that can open up opportunities for a better life. The research method used is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation and document analysis. The research results show that basic education plays a significant role in improving the quality of life of fishing families through several aspects, namely increasing literacy and numeracy, character formation and work ethics, as well as economic empowerment through increasing skills and knowledge. Children who receive basic education tend to have higher aspirations to continue their education to a higher level, which in turn has a positive impact on the overall well-being of the family. This research also identifies the main challenges faced by fishing families in accessing basic education, such as economic limitations, lack of adequate educational facilities, and minimal awareness of the importance of education. To overcome these challenges, collaboration is needed between the government, educational institutions and the community to create a supportive environment for the basic education of fishermen's children.

Abstract

. In recent decades, climate change has become a pressing global issue, demanding effective educational approaches to increase awareness and mitigation actions. Facing the increasingly impactful issue of climate change, it is necessary to integrate climate change in education. So far, from searches on Google Scholar, many articles from overseas research have been published on the integration of climate change education in the school curriculum. This literature study aims to explore climate change models that are integrated into foreign curricula. The keywords used in the database search were developments in climate change education published in the last 5 years, namely the period 2020 to 2024. The method used in the literature study used PRISMA guidelines with four stages, namely identification, screening, feasibility and inclusion. Conclusions are drawn qualitatively. The database from Google Scholar was systematically analyzed to search for relevant climate change education development studies. There are seven articles that describe the integration of climate change education abroad. The research results show that there are significant variations in approaches to climate change education, ranging from the integration of climate change material into the curriculum to the development of special programs that focus on adaptation and mitigation. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out development research to create a more effective and sustainable climate change education model for the curriculum in Indonesia.
