Abstract

The role of the younger generation as agents of change is crucial in addressing identity search and potential extremism among adolescents. Therefore, strengthening moderate attitudes among students is essential for them to understand moderation, especially in the modern era. This study aims to answer two questions: 1) how to strengthen students' moderate attitudes through Islamic religious education, and 2) how this is implemented in schools. This qualitative research employs a phenomenological approach at Mambaus Sholihin Junior High School in Tuban, utilizing data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that strengthening moderate attitudes is achieved through comprehensive religious education, leadership training, social activities, teacher role modeling, wise use of technology, and parental involvement. Religious moderation also encompasses the development of attitudes and behaviors that reflect balanced and inclusive Islamic teachings.

Abstract

In providing education, schools must have quality as a manifestation that the school is quality. The quality of schools can be seen from various directions, one of which is the quality of Islamic education. the quality of Islamic education is urgent and can be done in two ways, the first is by using Branding image and Customer relationship management Branding image for madrasas is important because building a good image and reputation will grow benefits for scholl, including increasing customer trust and customer loyalty to choose scholl as an option for teaching and learning places. These two ways are the main thing to do as an effort to strengthen the quality of Islamic education.. This study aims to reveal about how: (1) the concept (2) process, , (3) out put, branding image andcustomer relationship management (CRM) as strengthening the quality of Islamic education in SMA Khadijah Surabaya This study uses a qualitative approach, descriptive type. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Data analysis used descriptive analysis method.

Abstract

Pesantren memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan pehamahaman agama umat islam. Azyumardi Azra salah satu intelektual muslim terkemuka yang menawarkan perspektif historis dan reformis terhadap system Pendidikan pesantren yang berintegrasi nilai-nilai tradisional dan semangat modernitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontruksi pemikiran Azyumardi Azra mengenai Pendidikan islam dalam konteks pesantren serta kontribusinya terhadap perkembangan islam moderat di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi kepustakaan karya-karya Azyumardi Azra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahawa pemikiran Azyumardi Azra dapat mendorong transformasi pesantren menjadi lembaga yang adaptif, toleran, dan berorientasi pada nilai-nilai islam wasathiyah. kontruksi pemikiran Azyumardi Azra mengenai Pendidikan pesantren memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap perkembangan islam moderat di Indonesia. Pesantren dalam pandangan Azymardi Azra, bukan hanya sebagai institusi tradisional yang memilihara warisan keislaman klasik, melainkan merupakan Lembaga dinamis yang memiliki potensi besar dalam mencetak generasi muslim yang inkluisif, toleran, dan adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran interaktif telah menjadi pendekatan inovatif dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya di SMA Ta'miriyah Surabaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan dan dampak media pembelajaran interaktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap PAI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatit dengan jenis studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas dan wawancara mendalam dengan guru serta siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif, termasuk alat digital dan platform kolaboratif, secara efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan pemahaman nilai-nilai keagamaan. Tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan masalah teknis juga ditemukan, yang memerlukan solusi lebih lanjut. Hasil ini menegaskan potensi media interaktif sebagai alat transformasi dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa adopsi media inovatif secara signifikan mendukung tujuan PAI dalam membentuk karakter dan spiritualitas siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi pendidikan Islam moderat berbasis masjid dengan studi kasus di Masjid Al-Akbar Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil jamaah, memetakan model pendidikan, dan menganalisis mekanisme pelaksanaan program moderasi Islam. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman jamaah secara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi jamaah didorong oleh kebutuhan spiritual (faktor internal) serta pengaruh keluarga dan lingkungan sosial (faktor eksternal). Masjid Al-Akbar menyelenggarakan program pendidikan yang beragam, seperti kajian rutin, pendidikan formal-nonformal, dan pelatihan, dengan materi yang menekankan nilai-nilai moderasi seperti toleransi (tasamuh) dan keseimbangan (tawazun). Proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara partisipatif dengan metode fleksibel dan evaluasi holistik. Analisis menggunakan teori ekologi Bronfenbrenner mengungkap bahwa interaksi dinamis antara mikrosistem (keluarga, pengajar), mesosistem (jaringan sosial), dan makrosistem (nilai budaya) memperkuat internalisasi nilai moderasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa masjid berperan sebagai pusat transformasi sosial yang efektif dalam menyebarkan Islam moderat, dengan rekomendasi untuk memperkuat sinergi antar sistem ekologi guna menghadapi tantangan era digital.

Abstract

This study is driven by the urgency of promoting religious moderation in Indonesia’s pluralistic society, where religious polarization remains a persistent challenge. It focuses on the digital preaching of Habib Ja’far through Podcast Log In Season 2 on YouTube, exploring how his unique communication style conveys messages of moderate Islam. The central research question is: How does Habib Ja’far’s communication of Islamic education, grounded in a religious moderation perspective, manifest in digital content, and what theoretical and practical strategies underlie its effectiveness? Employing a qualitative approach and descriptive content analysis, the study analyzes selected episodes from Podcast Log In Season 2 specifically episodes 9, 15, 17, 24, 27, and 30 based on their thematic relevance to religious moderation and high audience engagement. Primary data were collected through video documentation and in-depth interviews with informants, including Islamic communication experts, digital media observers, and selected viewers. Data validation was ensured through methodological triangulation comparing interview findings, video analysis, and related secondary sources. This study applies Islamic education communication theory alongside Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann’s theory of social construction to examine how digital religious messages are constructed, contextualized, and disseminated. The findings reveal that Habib Ja’far’s communication strategies incorporate dialogical methods, humor, everyday analogies, and culturally resonant storytelling. These techniques promote values of inclusivity, tolerance, and critical engagement with religious extremism. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic education and digital da’wah by highlighting how adaptive communication strategies can effectively promote religious moderation in online spaces. Practically, the findings offer insights for educators, preachers, and policymakers on leveraging digital media for value-based education. Future research could explore audience reception across different platforms or conduct comparative studies with other digital preachers in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the thoughts of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) on Islamic education grounded in humanistic values, emphasizing the importance of an educational approach that transcends mere cognitive-intellectual dimensions by upholding human dignity, freedom of thought, and respect for plurality. The study employs a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected through documentation studies, particularly from Gus Dur’s seminal works such as Islamku, Islam Anda, Islam Kita and Ilusi Negara Islam, as well as other relevant secondary sources. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques.The findings show that Gus Dur's concept of humanist Islamic education emphasizes inclusivity, tolerance, and freedom of thought, while firmly grounded in the principles of equality, justice, liberation, and respect for diversity. These values form a strong philosophical and ethical foundation for Islamic education in a pluralistic and democratic Indonesian context. This study contributes to the academic discourse by offering a comprehensive reconstruction of Gus Dur’s educational thought, which remains underexplored in the context of contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the understanding and implementation of moderate Islamic education values among millennial cadres of Nahdlatul Ulama at LP Ma’arif NU Babat. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the cadres' understanding of moderate Islam developed progressively through four constructivist stages: schema, assimilation, accommodation, and social interaction. Initially, their perception was limited, viewing Islamic moderation mainly as tolerance toward other religions. However, after participating in structured educational and organizational activities, they began to internalize and practice core moderate values such as tawassuth (moderation), tawazzun (balance), tasammuh (tolerance), i’tidal (justice), and syura (deliberation). These values are embedded in their attitudes, decision-making processes, and social interactions. The study concludes that consistent and value-based education, supported by teacher modeling and institutional culture, significantly shapes young NU cadres to become inclusive, tolerant, and socially responsible Muslim leaders in modern society.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the development and implementation of contemporary learning methods in the context of Islamic education, highlighting the role of digital transformation in enhancing the effectiveness and relevance of religious education. The approach used is a literature study with a qualitative method, analyzing scientific literature and related credible sources. The main findings indicate that the integration of digital technology such as LMS, interactive videos, and artificial intelligence can enhance student engagement, collaboration, and the development of critical and creative skills, thereby addressing the challenges of the times. However, the limitations of the research include the lack of direct empirical data from field applications and the need for adaptation to local characteristics. The practical implication of this study is the importance of developing teacher competencies and designing a flexible and contextual curriculum to support the effective implementation of this method. The original value of this research lies in the integration of contemporary educational concepts with Islamic educational values, as an innovative solution to meet the needs of adaptive and meaningful education in the global digital era.
