Abstract

Abstract

The Qur'an's Surah an-Nisa verses 11, 12, and 176, along with the hadith of Prophet Muhammad, establish the inheritance system and the share of each heir in Islam. However, in practice, many people simply agree on a division of inheritance. The reconciliation in question is mentioned in item 183 of the Compilation of Islamic Law. Therefore, this essay addresses peace in inheritance distribution from the perspective of Maqasid Sharia and its application based on KHI. Descriptive qualitative content analysis is employed in this study. The Saussure model is mentioned as the data analysis method. The analysis of relevant research materials, classification of information, interpretation of data, and verification of findings are the steps involved in analyzing research data. A credibility test is used to authenticate the data, primarily by encouraging researchers to spend more time examining crucial details from the source materials. According to the study's findings, Maqasid Sharia's emphasis on preserving the well-being of heirs is closely related to harmony in inheritance distribution. 'Takharuj', or harmony in inheritance distribution, refers to heirs' willingness to waive their rights as stipulated in the will. This willingness may occur with predetermined compensation or without any compensation at all. When peace is achieved, it occurs once each heir is fully aware of their rights under the terms of the will

Abstract

The reform of Islamic family law in Indonesia has been widely discussed; however, existing studies predominantly examine fragmented legal issues, historical developments, or specific statutory changes, leaving limited attention to the integrated relationship between reform typology, legal revitalization, and constitutional challenges. This study addresses this gap by analyzing how these three dimensions interact within Indonesia's plural legal system. Employing a normative juridical approach, the research examines constitutional provisions, legislation, judicial decisions, and relevant legal doctrines through statutory, conceptual, historical, and case analyses. The study aims to formulate a comprehensive framework for understanding the trajectory of Islamic family law reform and to assess its constitutional compatibility in promoting legal certainty, justice, and public welfare. The novelty of this research lies in the development of an integrative analytical model that connects the typology of legal reform with revitalization strategies and constitutional principles. The findings demonstrate that Islamic family law reform in Indonesia has evolved through adaptive, progressive, and accommodative patterns, reflecting dynamic interactions between Islamic legal values, national legal policies, and constitutional norms. Nevertheless, constitutional tensions remain regarding equality, human rights, and judicial interpretation. This research contributes to the discourse on Islamic legal reform by offering a constitutional perspective that supports the development of a more coherent, inclusive, and responsive family law system in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background. Quality assurance in higher education instructional planning is often hindered by inefficient validation processes for Semester Learning Plans (RPS). Digital innovations inspired by academic workflow systems offer potential solutions for improving efficiency and reliability in these processes. Purpose. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and user experience of the RPS Validation and Evaluation System (SVeR), a digital platform modeled after the workflow of the Open Journal System (OJS). Specifically, it investigated whether SVeR could enhance the validation process and be positively received by lecturers. Method. Using an explanatory sequential mixed methods design, 17 lecturers from the PGMI Program at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar participated. The quantitative phase measured inter-rater reliability using Cohen's Kappa (?) statistics and assessed user perceptions through a rating questionnaire. The qualitative phase analyzed user feedback via thematic analysis. Results. Quantitative findings indicated a very high level of effectiveness, with an average Kappa coefficient of ? = 0.939, alongside a highly positive user acceptance, reflected in an average rating of 8.88 out of 10. Thematic analysis revealed three major advantages of SVeR: simplification of workflow, increased efficiency, and a positive impact on quality assurance. Conclusion. The study concludes that SVeR is both objectively effective and well-received by users, suggesting its potential as a model for digitalizing academic quality assurance processes in higher education.

Abstract

The high number of learning tools that are not validated is an important highlight of this research problem. This problem arises due to the ineffectiveness of the validation process, which is carried out manually and cannot be carried out in a flexible, time- and material-friendly manner. This research aims to develop a validation system (SVeR) for learning tools based on an open journal system that is valid, practical and effective for measuring the suitability of learning tools created by lecturers. The waterfall development model is the choice for developing this validation system. This research involved 2 expert validators and 16 lecturers who were the subjects of testing the practicality and effectiveness of the system being developed. Data were analyzed using Aiken's V formula for validity testing, percentage techniques with categorization norms for practicality data, and the kappa moment test for effectiveness data. The validity test results based on expert assessment show that SVeR has a very high level of validity with a final content validity coefficient of 0.804. Furthermore, the practicality test results show that SVeR has a practicality level of 94.31% in the convenient category. The same thing applies to the effectiveness test. Based on the test, the kappa moment reached 0.939 with a very high effectiveness category, so it can be concluded that the learning device validation system (SVeR) based on the open journal system for measuring the validity of learning devices has excellent validity, practicality and effectiveness
