Abstract

PT. Jagad Kreatif Nusantara uses the Microsoft Excel program to store inventory for office stationery, such as demand, expenditure, and stock data. That is why there are problems at PT. Jagad Kreatif Nusantara, namely difficulties in finding demand and expenditure data, difficulties in identifying initial stock, preparing reports that should be presented, and then compiling the appropriate information for the needs of inventory of ATK goods. With the development of this Information System application, it is hoped that it can solve these problems. Besides that, the existence of a computerized system in presenting complete information and being able to access data and information quickly in terms of data processing, efficient in terms of personnel, and accurate in terms of information will make work easier.

Abstract

The community service initiative undertaken by the faculty and students of STMIK Mardira Indonesia seeks to confront the challenges presented by the swift dissemination of information in the digital age, including the widespread occurrence of hoaxes and phishing, while also harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.  The intended audience for this outreach comprises the parents of kindergarten pupils. This effort aims to enhance parents' digital literacy, enabling them to distinguish between accurate and deceptive information and to effectively utilize AI technology to support their children's educational development.  The methodology employs a participatory instructional approach, integrating interactive presentations, conversations, and straightforward case studies or simulations. The anticipated results encompass enhanced parental comprehension of digital literacy, heightened capacity to discern misinformation, foundational knowledge of AI concepts and their educational applications, and practical advice on the secure and ethical use of AI in children's learning.  This effort aims to foster a healthy and constructive digital environment within families, enabling parents to serve as effective mentors for their children in the digital age.

Abstract

With the rising demand for digital services, industries such as barbershops must utilize technology to improve service efficiency, especially in controlling customer lineups.  Kabarbershop currently uses a manual queueing system, resulting in unpredictable wait times, potential customer attrition, and inaccuracies in documentation.  This study creates a web-based Online Reservation System that uses the First Come First Served (FCFS) algorithm to efficiently and equitably manage queues.  The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) methodology, using a Waterfall development strategy.  The system is architected with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and developed using Next.js for the frontend, Tailwind CSS for a responsive UI, ExpressJS for the backend, and MongoDB as the database.  Essential features include online bookings, wait-time assessment, WhatsApp alerts, and an administrative dashboard.  Findings from black box testing demonstrate that all functionalities perform as anticipated.  This system aims to improve operational efficiency, minimize customer attrition, and offer a more convenient and transparent reservation experience.

Abstract

This study presents the development and testing of an IoT-based temperature and humidity management system designed for mushroom cultivation. The system effectively utilizes a DHT sensor and a scheduling mechanism to monitor and control environmental conditions. Key findings reveal that the IoT-based control system allows mushroom farmers to access real-time data through a user-friendly web interface and control unit, facilitating immediate adjustments to optimize growth conditions. Testing confirmed the system's capability to maintain essential temperature and humidity levels: 22–28°C and 80–90% during mycelium development and 16–25°C and 90–95% during the fruiting body stage. These controlled conditions significantly enhance mushroom growth and productivity compared to traditional cultivation methods. The implementation of this IoT-based system not only improves the quality and yield of mushroom production but also increases operational efficiency for farmers. By integrating modern technology into agricultural practices, this study demonstrates the potential of IoT to transform conventional farming approaches into more effective and sustainable operations.

Abstract

The Educational Development Contribution is a levy imposed on students to assist educational institutions in enhancing the teaching and learning process within schools.  This contribution is a monthly school charge mandated for every active student.  The inadequate payment recording method may result in data loss and accountability challenges in report generation.  For example, at a vocational institution in Cimahi, the SPP payment system continues to depend on a manual method, wherein administrative personnel and the treasurer document payments utilising a ledger.  This scenario results in numerous errors and significantly prolongs the payment recording process.  The author utilises an Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) methodology for this project.  The system will be designed as a web-based application coupled with the institution's website.  The author used PHP, CSS, the CodeIgniter framework, a MySQL database, and Visual Studio Code as the code editor to resolve challenges throughout system installation.  The employed system testing methodology is Black Box testing.  The method devised by the author facilitates the input of student data and the administration of Educational Development Contribution payments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the inventory system employed by a wholesaler located in Bandung and offer suggestions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management. The research methodology is a case study incorporating interviews and firsthand observation of the company's inventory system. The results suggest that the company still needs to practice any particular approach for overseeing its inventory, resulting in difficulties in calculating suitable inventory levels and a failure to use technology in inventory management. Hence, the author advises the wholesaler in Bandung to enhance the utilization of technology in managing their inventory and proposes adopting a buffer stock approach for inventory control.
